View of Manhattan from the Water Tower

Incredible views. Take the middle elevator up to the top, the other elevator shafts won't get you there so opt for the middle one It tasted like the old fashioned cocktail may have even made with fireball which was regretful bc it was too cinnamon-y and not great to drink

    Passionfruit Margarita.

You are solely coming here for the views, but it is worth checking out. On a Saturday evening, we stopped by to check out the rooftop. There was a $10 cover charge for men, but free for ladies. You get a stamp that does give you in and out privileges throughout the night, so we did come back after barhopping around too. Once you take the elevator up, you're welcome to a gorgeous skyline view of Manhattan. There's a pool with lounges all around. Go up the spiral stairs to the water tower for an even better view of the skyline. The water tower area is super nice and also has a bar too. Not gonna lie, the space is such a vibe. On the other hand, you're paying for the $20 drinks here. I ordered the Passionfruit Margarita, which was a pretty small cup and didn't taste like much alcohol was in there. I'd probably pass on the drinks next time, but come for the views (and only if you're a woman because I'm not about that cover fee).

Came for a sunday day club with some friends and it was a lot of fun! Great vibes and views, lit music and people actually dancing instead of standing around like sardines. The drinks are super pricey though

PHOTO OP ONLY. Come only for the view, and definitely come during the week. The skyline views are exceptional, the staircase leading up to the water tower is perfect for photo opportunities. Made the mistake of coming here on a Saturday night, the place was so packed it was not enjoyable. Very over priced drinks with no clear prices, bartender decided to tip himself on the credit card too, thanks! $20+ each for plastic cups is the vibe! The crowd is filled with entitled hipster kids and lots of vapes, if you're under 30 you might be willing to put up with the nonsense but I'm not sure why, literally every dance party I have been to was better then this one too. Tip for management: Slow down how many people you let in here and make this place feel more like an exclusive lounge, take reservations, and you will make much more money on the type of crowd that enjoys cocktails in a glass.

We took an elevator up then walked up a circular staircase past a pool to get to the water tower bar in the Williamsburg hotel. The views from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows facing Manhattan are amazing even on the overcast day we went. Views are even better from the walkway just outside since the inside view can be obstructed by people. The Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building are visible from here. I didn't know my friend was scared of heights, but she braved the staircase for my belated b'day. Thank you! There are plush sofas, Instagramable pop art murals/posters but only a few tables. A mixture of people dressed in smart casual and some in dresses and heels were abound. Food is available but we did not try it since we just took a cab from L'industrie Pizzeria. Drinks are great but are high priced. We each had a cocktail and enjoyed the views and music and went to our next destination.

Come here if you want to hang out at an overly crowded space with over priced drinks.

My husband and I had dinner at Le Crocodile but wanted to have drinks afterwards. I made reservations to come here. I was excited because the pictures looked beautiful. When we arrived at The Williamsburg Hotel, we followed signs to check in for this place. The guy at the host stand checked our vaccines and IDs, then mentioned it was mandatory to check in our coats. It's $4 + tax for coat check. However, when we got upstairs, everyone had their coats on. When we got there, there was no one to check in with. It was super crowded with no place to sit. I told one of the servers we had reservations and he told us that reservations were only for people buying bottles. Seats are first come, first serve. What was the point of being able to reserve then? They should say that on the Seven Rooms reservation system. On top of that, drinks are served in plastic cups. If I'm paying $30+ for 2 drinks, they should be served in real glassware. The only reason this place gets a star is because the bar tenders were fun, the music was good and the views were really nice. But I froze getting pictures since I had to check in my coat. Don't waste your time coming here. You're better off having drinks at the lobby bar, where you can get a proper drink (in glassware) and a comfy seat. The staff is super pretentious and the vibe isn't that great. If I wanted an over priced bar with no where to sit and subpar crowd, I would've gone somewhere in Midtown. There so many other rooftops with pretty views and will treat customers better. P.S. I asked the host why he told us the coat check was mandatory when everyone had their coat on upstairs and he proceeded to "inform" me that it starts at 8:30pm. Meanwhile, on my way down, the people coming up still had their coats. Sure...it's mandatory only for certain people.

Paid $30 cover to get in on a Friday night. The views are nice and the concept is cool. A tequila pineapple was $20. Overpriced rooftop. Wouldn't go again but nice to see once.

Views at this place were breathtaking but the place is a bit small and was extremely loud and started to feel too cramped for comfort. Definitely a more party vibe but it was cute. We spent more time outside on the balcony. A calmer more relaxed vibe was the bar downstairs which was perfect!

Came without reservation for a birthday. It's a cool descent on the industrial stairs to get to the top. It'll be cold and breezy so I'd recommend holding onto your jacket. Views are beautiful. The inside the lights on the ceiling are cute. You can sit at any of the seats and use the small tables. The area is small. DJ was good on Saturday but the equipment was malfunctioning and there was an awkward silence for awhile. A margarita with 20% tip was over $30, very expensive.

This is the rooftop bar of the Williamsburg Hotel. The best thing about this place is the view. You will get amazing views of the Manhattan skyline, East River, and Brooklyn Bridge from here - especially at night when everything is lit up. This bar is also quite spacious. There is an open patio area that surrounds a pool, a stairway that leads to an elevated platform, and another staircase that leads up to the walkway around the water tower. However, the place is way too crowded. When we came on a weekday night, it was still packed. I can't imagine how full it is on a Friday night or Saturday night. The drinks (as expected) are also overpriced and small. All cocktails here are close to $20.

Yeah, no. Come if you'd like to take one photo of the sunset and leave maybe? Size: It was so so small and starting to get crowded even though I showed up like 10 minutes before they opened at 7 pm. The outside area is a thin walkway that surrounds like half the bar exterior. Even if it were nicer out, I can't imagine chilling out there with more than a handful of people. It was a Tuesday - I saw a DJ setting up for their disco night and knew then and there, we were not sticking around for this. So I finished my drink down in the lobby bar, which was lovely. Reservations: Same experience as the other reviews you'll see here and on Google - reservations don't matter. There are couches, but they're all first come first serve. Maybe when it gets busier, your reservation is just to get you up there? I had one for four people, 7 pm on Tuesday and they never asked for my res. Price: The cocktails were all $18, which is I guess fine and typical of nicer places in NYC but they all come in plastic cups. The drinks in the nice bar lounge downstairs are all $16 and come in actual glasses. They also have a larger cocktail menu. Staff: Meh. Thought it was weird that there were no cocktail menus anywhere, so asked the one bartender if there was one and he just kind of dropped it on the counter without saying anything like it was a dumb Q. He was chill after that, when I ordered my drink later though. Overall: Will not return to the Water Tower Bar. DO go to the Williamsburg Hotel lobby for drinks though! Great spot. Also, if you like rooftop hotel bars in the same area, make a reservation for Westlight at the William Vale Hotel. It's large with plenty of indoor and outdoor space and has great views as well. Your reservation also means you get an actual table.

Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

It is too bad Yelp doesn't allow half stars as I would honestly put this one at a 3.5 and am rounding up. After spending $76 a person, we were still hungry, whereas that amount would have been enough to feed two average women at another good restaurant. But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind.
