My friends and I came here for a session of Lectures on Tap and really enjoyed our experience. We got there right before it started and shared a high top table with some other guests. It did take a while for us to get served and we ordered glasses of wine, beer, a charcuterie board to start and arancini balls. The charcuterie board was really good, as was the arancini. Some other people in my party got the Bavarian Pretzel. For people's main courses, my boyfriend got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries, and another friend got the burger with sweet potato fries as well. We all agreed that everything was delicious, but the sweet potato fries were phenomenal. After the presentation ended, I brought out cupcakes I had made, and the server allowed us to light them and sing happy birthday to my partner. Afterwards, we all decided to go to the bar upstairs to have a drink and play cornhole. The upstairs area was really nice as well and half indoor half out. We were impressed by the variety on the drink menu and I enjoyed a Mezcal cocktail. There is bar seating, as well as more high top tables inside the indoor portion of the bar upstairs, and there is also similar seating options throughout the outside portion. I highly recommend this restaurant/bar and think this would be a great place to host an event. read more

Stopped to get some grub while in the area. Despite it being crowded, the waitress was very attentive and took my order promptly. My food didn't take long to come out and was cooked to my desired temperature. It was a brisk night but since there was a private event, I ate at the bar on the rooftop. The perfect summer rooftop day drinking escape right off of mccaren park with some nice views of the manhattan skyline. The space upstairs is great but forewarning that it can get hellaaaaaa crowded like around 5pm that rooftop was so condensed I was honestly impressed by how many people fit up there. Ive been to Berry Park a bunch over the years for various occasions. Its a great neighborhood spot thats very large and a nice place to host things like casual birthday gatherings. They have a nice selection of beers and cocktails, something for everyone, and the food is pretty good as well. It can get a little crowded (especially on the roof when its nice out) and service can be a bit snippy if the staff is overworked, but overall a great spot for some drinks with friends! read more

My visit to Berry Park did not really impress by any means. They have a nice first floor with a main bar and seating all around with big screens that were playing a soccer match for fans to enjoy. They were also serving food which mainly seemed like a pub-style menu. The rooftop was small and packed with so many people that there was barely room to stand. And if you wanted a drink, forget about it because there was no way you were reaching the bar in that sea full of people. There is also no view at all. This rooftop is covered by taller buildings, so the only thing you can really see are the streets down below. What really left a bad taste in my mouth was the security guard standing at the front door. He left me and my friend with rude comments and was telling us to spend more money in there (as if he knew what we did or did not order inside). He also told us that the bathroom was for customers only as if we had spent 5 minutes in there and left. Sir, we were there for an hour and we did not even use the bathroom lol. Honestly this place is mediocre at best and there are so many better places around it such as Westlight, Water Tower, and Bar Blondeau. 3/5 stars. read more

Berry Park is a comfort bar for me. Good whether you want to mingle or if you want to sit and people watch. My friends and I love the Huckleberry Lemonade. We also ordered some shareables (that were more than enough for 3 of us): Park Fries: Comes topped with garlic mayo and scallions but you can ask for that on the side so the fries aren't drowning in sauce. The fries come out HOT and they are soooo good. Probably my favorite out of what we ordered. Blistered Shishito Peppers: Served in a mini cast iron skillet. There were so many peppers I felt like I didn't even make a dent in it after eating them nonstop. Bavarian Pretzel: On the saltier side. We thought it was too salty but were able to just brush off some of it and it was fine. Lots of high tables and seats, a few regular tables around. The level you walk in on is like a trendy sports bar vibe--they'll put on the projectors for the games. There is also a DJ and foosball in the corner. They have a heated rooftop with beautiful views so I recommend checking that out. Also, very cute bathroom with a huge lit vanity mirror. Berry Park is a gem. I'm so jealous of those who live in the neighborhood because they get to experience this excellent spot year-round. The first thing that caught my attention was how big this place is and the fact that the rooftop is covered in the event of rain. At this point, I will say that the food is excellent with a capital 'E.' Please try the grilled shishitos peppers. The rooftop bar has great views of the city skyline in the distance, which is a must-see. The service was pretty good, although my waitress was friendly, and all seemed to be a bit overwhelmed when business picked up. A fun rooftop in the heart of Williamsburg -- there are plenty of tables but it tends to get busy, half are first-come, first-serve but there are reservations too. We were able to find a spot to stand and later snag half a table. The weather was perfect in the summertime and the bartender is fairly efficient. Oooh Berry Park; the Rooftop where you close your tab and find yourself getting another round. Been here a few years back but came by on a gorgeous day. The vibes were high and people were out and about; looking amazing. Started off with their spiked lemonade (okay), and got their espresso martinis afterwards - pretty good but I was missing that layer of foam that I love about these martinis. This version wasn't too bad. When we got hungry I ordered the Artichoke Dip + Pita Chips, and we got a Charcuterie board to share. The pita chips seemed to be on the healthier side (whole grain or wheat) so I used the sourdough bread from the cheese board as my dipping vessel. It was a nice spread and the great company made it better. Pretty good DJ, but it's the people and the views that make this place so enjoyable. Give it a visit on a nice day. read more

Go with a group because shareable plates are massive, 3-4 people can share the park fries which are topped with garlic mayo and scallions, can also add bacon for additional charge. Had a simple gin and tonic all night but my friend who ordered the special drinks said they were tasty and heavy handed with the alcohol which is always nice! We did end up getting fries towards the end and they were heavenly! I like the rustic look and you can smell the food from outside. It was delicious and that's truth really what drew us in. I enjoyed a grilled chicken salad and I tasted the chicken sandwich with french fries and they did not disappoint. The drinks were good. Christina was our server and she was attentive and nice. They were also able to accommodate 9 of us at a high top, and were very friendly and nice. The food was really just incredibly average. Exactly what youd expect. Was this the best rooftop? No. Best food? No. But was it exactly what we were looking for in a quickie. Yep. Got the exact job done. Terrible staff!! We went in today with a service dog because my friend has PTSD. The bouncer don't let us in because of the service dog. I showed him the service dog tag ID to proof. I recently celebrated a friends birthday party here. We came on a Friday night and the weather was perfect. This place has an awesome rooftop area where you can hangout, eat, and drink. There was about 8 of us, and we were able to grab a table that fit us all. I loved the atmosphere of this bar. They were playing great music the entire night. I started out ordering some of their cocktails. We tried the huckleberry lemonade one, as well as the rosemary gimlet one. They were both excellent. Great mixtures. After hanging out for awhile, we then ordered some food. We had the giant pretzel, an order of fries, and an order of hot buffalo wings. All of these food items were really good too. When we come to this area we always stop at Berry Park. The rooftop has a great vibe and it still has a partial view of the city. I always order the frickles. These pickle spears are fried to a crispy perfection and are in a chipotle aioli. It's worth the trip just for this. Rare GEM in Williamsburg! My girlfriend brought me here for brunch and I'm so happy she did. We were able to sit upstairs (rooftop area). Which I was nervous would be cold but it was perfect. It was outside yet enclosed so there was no wind coming in. You did have an option to sit where it wasn't enclosed but that day was pretty chilly. We were able to great some great photos and really enjoy ourselves. My business partner loved his French toast (he said it was the best her had) both him and my girlfriend loved the eggs and bacon. I had the grilled cheese which was phenomenal. Not like your regular grilled cheese this one has pesto and a slice of tomato. SO YUMMY!! All and all our food was great and drinks was good. Fun place with a nice indoor area and a nice rooftop as well. Indoors when I came there were a ton of people watching soccer so I headed upstairs. The views on top aren't as good as some of the tall hotel rooftops nearby but they're not too bad either. The drinks were pretty good; I really liked the gimlet. read more

I had two visits to Berry Park. For me, it's the rooftop, especially at night. Ive only been here twice but I feel like I can order anything and it would be good. I ordered the chicken sandwich the first visit and the sausage platter - i truly enjoyed the sausage platter. The second visit I ordered BBQ chicken wings, which were pretty good as well. I definitely recommend this place if you want good food and a chill vibe. **Although this maybe obvious but check the weather before going on the rooftop! They do have a cover for when it rains BUT water still leaks through the cover and will get in your food (depending where you are sitting). And for those sitting outside of the rooftop cover when it rains, you will be moved into the cover and it will become crowded. Other than that ENJOY like I did! read more

Tina's take: 7/10 I went to Berry Park with a group of friends later in the night after our other festivities during the day. The place is very spacious and looks really nice with the bar and tv screens. We were able to get a table however I would not recommend sitting near the door because when it opens you will be cold. Our waitress was very nice and it was a chill vibe. I wish they played some music but they had some football games on which was understandable. We got the fries for the table and the portion was huge. We had four people at our table and we could not even finish it. I had a good time and would def come back. read more

Such a great neighborhood establishment! The drinks and food are reasonably priced and the service super friendly and attentive. They have plexiglass panels between tables and booths inside and the rooftop tables are appropriately spaced out. QR code for contact-less menus. There is a view of the Manhattan skyline from the roof and they ask you to limit your time to 1hour 20min. They also bring around a sheet asking for your contact info for contact tracing. The Park fries are huuuuuuge. Suggested serving size 6-8 people. And they'll also bring you aioli sauce on the side. Good vibes good vibes. read more

I've been here a few times and every time I've had pretty poor service. Today was my third time going but will probably be my last since i kept giving it a chance and kept having similar experiences. The bar tenders and waiters have taken a while to get our order/check on us and been pretty rude during interactions. Two of the times I've been there, including today, I was there during a time that they weren't that busy (only 3-4 other tables taken) so it's not like they were inattentive but crazy busy - that I understand! During this time today, my boyfriend ordered a burger with fries but it came out with a salad. Hey, no biggie. Just a quick, hey I ordered fries instead. They said sorry about that we'll get you fries. Now I def should have checked the bill while I was still at the restaurant otherwise I would have noticed that they charged us for a side of fries before i got home. They charged us for their mistake. Also, my friend with us was pretty annoyed because her drink got taken while she was talking. She was annoyed because she still had half her drink left... a $12 cocktail. I will say the rooftop is cool and has a great view of the city and there's plenty of table space/spread out that it's even good for a social distance dining out. But the overall experience has been too disappointing to continue going back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! My friend and I tried to eat here because of their rooftop area. There was a wedding party that reserved the rooftop but we were told to wait 20 min and then the hostess would come let us know that the rooftop was available. We went to the bar and got a drink while we waited. The hostess NEVER came to get us and instead directed customers who had arrived after us to proceed to seat upstairs. After waiting for almost an hour, we asked the hostess what was going on because we had been waiting for a while and not heard anything. She switched up and said that it is self seating upstairs. She said she was waiting until 2:45 to tell us, even though we had been there since 2pm and other patrons had already been instructed to go up. We left and did not get to eat their food so I cannot comment on the quality of food. However, the service is TERRIBLE. If you are young and Black I recommend trying westlight. It also has a rooftop without the discriminatory undertones. read more
