My friends and I wandered into this bar on a Saturday afternoon for a drink and were happy to find that despite there being a birthday party at that time, there was plenty of seating outside! (Inside there's a bar and some booths along the wall). The menu is standard Williamsburg cocktail bar pricing and naturally, we were all drawn to the tequila drinks. I had a Lime All The Time, which was yummy and my partner had a Beach House which was alright. We also all had a round of skinny spicy margaritas which were stronggggg. The bartender was quiet but polite. I liked how they were several jugs of ice water and cups available for patrons. There are bathrooms downstairs and based on the layout of the bar, I suspect it can get rowdy and fun after 8pm rolls around. I'd love to come back then! read more

I came here a few weeks ago on a date on a random Monday evening, and it was pretty quiet which was nice. It's a dimly lit bar with comfortable plush seating, and a nicely appointed bar. Apparently, the downstairs area has a DJ on the weekends, and is known for being fun, so perhaps I'll check it out sometime. The cocktail menu was good and had variety to it and our drinks came out pretty quickly. The bartender was friendly and took our drink orders quickly, which was nice. Midnights is super cute! I've been walking by it constantly for a year and finally stopped in with some friends on a Saturday night. It was very loud on the inside and quite crowded but the outside area was a perfect vibe for us. They make a great martini and there is plenty of outdoor seating. Came here after a show at Brooklyn Bowl. The menu looked interesting and we wanted some snacks with our drinks so we gave it a go. It was 12:30 AM on a Thursday and the place was jam packed!! We got the last 2 seats at the bar. They were playing a Spotify list very loudly so we would barely communicate what we wanted. Its also dark as hell so we had to use our phones to see the menus. We got the sweet and spicy crunchy chickpeas. We also ordered the kettle chips with lemon-dill yogurt dip. The bartender must have misheard and just brought us 1 bag of chips. We asked for what we ordered and he brought it back out. That lemon-dill dip was freaking yummy!! So were the chickpeas. The standout was the drink I had. The Covergirl. One of the tastiest drinks I've ever had. Vodka, green tea, Juliette peach liquor and lemonade. $14 in a nice tall glass. Refreshing and different. It seems like they have an outdoor area as well, but I don't think it was open. If you can get here when it's not so crowded, I'm sure it'd be a much better vibe. Bathroom was also dark, but was clean and stocked. Some drunk sailor came over to us saying someone was cheap and easy and that he was going to buy our drinks. Was I surprised at how packed the bar was on a Wednesday night? Did I manage to find a seat at the bar anyway? Thanks to the NYC Tippler, I've been able to discover new places and create a list of "Go-To's". Midnights has made that list. The first cocktail I tried was the Lime All The Time and it's definitely a fav. Made with Hornitos Tequila, Mezcal, Lime, Pomegranate flavor, and a new fav (Chili Salt); this drink is delicious. The Chili Salt really adds a bold flavor to the drink and I couldn't imagine having this cocktail without it. The other cocktail I tried was the Drunk Love (crafted with Myers Jamaican Rum, Denizen 5 Year Rum, Overproof Rum, Grenadine, Lime, OJ Pineapple, and Angostura Bitters); not a bad drink. Out of the two, the drink that won me over was the Lime All The Time. As for food, I've only tried the Truffle Steak Fries. They were pretty good. I ordered them to go along with the Happy Hour glass of Pinot Grigio. They were good (not the best, but good). The ambiance is a bit intimate and chill. In the evening, you can expect dim lights and candles. They have plenty of seats by the bar and also booths available that are perfect for groups or a little privacy for date night. In terms of service, nothing really stood out for me. It was a typical experience. If you're in the area I would suggest stopping by. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday starting at 2 PM until 6:30 PM. read more

Midnights had been on my list to scope out for years, and I finally made it there for a nightcap the other day. We walked through the seductive bar, which was perfect for a date, and were able to grab a table in their intimate backyard. Table service did not seem to be available back there, so we went inside to grab our drinks from the bar. The "Spritz" Me Please immediately grabbed my attention, as I am a huge fan of spritzes. Their version traded the Aperol for St. Agrestis Amaro, which was a bit more bitter, but not quite as herbaceous as Campari or Contratto. The St. Agrestis with the prosecco, club soda, and orange peel actually made a delightful cocktail that I was perfectly suited for sipping out in the garden. I stopped in here on a rainy week night looking for a warm cocktail and was not disappointed. The Hot Toddy, the only hot drink available, was one of the best I've had in a while, and you have the choice of Bourbon or Rum. I chose rum. The food menu was limited to empanadas (mushroom, beef, and chicken), but unfortunately, they were out. The bartender was kind enough to let us know we could bring in outside food, which we did. The drink menu was extensive with cocktails, beer, wines, etc. I tried the Drunk Love as well, and what there was of it was excellent! Unfortunately, as you can see from my pictures, the glass was filled with more ice than cocktail (even though it was rainy and cold outside. I would probably go back because the drinks WERE really well made, and the staff was extremely friendly, but I'll definitely request less ice. read more

Found this spot while strolling looking for a cool vibe for some drinks. Covid protocols were seriously taken, service was friendly and the back yard was nice. The menu was scannable and every time you wanted to order you had to rescan and repay (this became a little annoying). I stopped by at an Elite Event around the corner that had no seating and needed a place to decompress. So I allowed Google Maps to guide me to this romantic oasis on the rainy early December night that I stopped in (12/6/22) It may have been cold outside, but it was warm and inviting inside. The interior is dark and, in my opinion, perfect for a date night. Great music, attentive but not overbearing waitstaff and a great selection of drinks and small plates. We stopped by Midnights to have a few drinks before a reservation at a nearby restaurant. Overall, I think the three of us had a pretty nice experience at Midnights. The bar has a nice mix of speciality cocktails and a few draft beers. For our visit, I went with the Private Dancer (vodka, guava, watermelon Red Bull) and the Eastside Spritz (amaro, Prosecco, and club soda). I went with the Private Dancer as a throwback to the mid-00s. . . You know, when folks were putting Red Bull into almost every single cocktail. Since the Private Dancer is a frozen drink, it was very refreshing to throw back a few of these on a very hot day. I'll admit that I did not really care for the spritz because it really did not taste like anything. Perhaps, the club soda diluted the Prosecco too much. I'd recommend just going with a glass of Prosecco instead. The two bartenders were pretty nice and friendly, the bar had a nice low key vibe to it, and the drinks were reasonably priced.. I'd definitely visit Midnights again if I am in the W'burg area. Also . . . the bar is really close to the Bedford Stop (L Train), which make the bar even better. read more
