Had an amazing trivia tuesday at Blinky's especially since it was a special edition: SPONGEBOB TRIVIA!!!! What a great event I loved it as much as I love spongebob. It got reeeeally packed i'm not sure if regular trivia nights are this packed but come early if you want a seat! Drinks were great, tried two off the happy hour surprise frozen drinks and they were so good and decently strong. The passionfruit daiquiri was smooth and refreshing, and the vodka lemonade was tart and electric. I would totally come back for more trivia nights or even just as a chill bar! They have a nice spacious back patio too which is perfect for the summer. read more

For those who are interested in something cold & refreshing on a hot, hot day, they have a frozen drink machine - choose your poison. We arrived just as Blinky's opened. It was one of the really hot days we've recently had, so we opted to sit inside at the bar. With that, we didn't explore the rest of the space so unfortunately, I can't speak to that. Bartender was nice & chill, and the prices can't be beat. Good location so you're able grab a bite basically of whatever it is you want, due to its proximity. read more

Just moved right by Blinkys so it's become my favorite spot to take friends. Good prices, solid drinks, and just a nice vibe to the place. Came for happy hour which is til 8p on weekdays. $11 cocktails (originally $15). I only had the aurora spicy marg and it was actually pretty good and spicy a bit too, not too much. The interior was dark and cutely lit with blue and pink lights and themes so cool place to just grab drinks and chill with friends-not terribly packed which is nice for conversation and vibes. read more

Blinky's is a fun, new bar in Williamsburg, offering tasty cocktails, specialty beers and good vibes! They have a lovely, massive backyard that's perfect for grabbing a drink with some friends in the summer. It's also a good spot if you want to grab a nice cocktail on a date. I tried one of their specialty drinks, the Blinky Blue Cosmo: citrus vodka, blue curaçao, lime and cranberry. Delicious! I appreciate that they rehired all the staff from the previous establishment it used to be. Unfortunately that establishment had to close during COVID. The owner is so kind and friendly, too. He makes you feel right at home! They have happy hour Mon-Fri, usually until 7pm. You'd have to double check what time it starts though as I don't recall it. My friend took me here because it's her favorite local bar. On a Thursday at 5pm on a rainy holiday weeknight, the bar was pretty empty. Happy hour cocktails were good. Had the first one on the menu, which I think was the Rose Gold and it was unexpectedly spicy. Also had a cheap beer. Music was kind of terrible Goo Goo Dolls and Foo Fighters. Blinky's is 100% the best neighborhood bar in Williamsburg Incredible vibes, unique drinks, and such kind and friendly owners!! I hosted a work event here and Rhoades and Jose (the owners) along with all the bartenders were incredibly helpful the entire night!! The venue itself takes you back to the 80's with retro neon lights and vintage posters. There's also an adorable outdoor backyard for when the weather is nice out + they're dog friendly! Came here on a whim after a night in the area and let me tell you, this place is lit. I recall it being a weekday and this place was packed. Apparently, someone was also celebrating a birthday or two? I love the vibes here. The light is either neon glow or dim lit both works well with me. Though if it is the neon glow and you are trying to take photos of the drinks and food. It may not be as helpful. The drinks were very much on point. Brooklyn Buck - there is nothing buck about it. Yes, it will sort of kick you but in the most delightful way. But Naked - the name says it all but it shouldn't cause you to go streaking like Will Ferrell. Unless you decided to do so before even having alcohol in you. Wake and Bake - for all your 420 enthusiasts, this isn't a weed drink. I'd say it is more along the lines of a hot toddy that makes you feel warm and fuzzy. Maybe this is the prelude to actually waking and baking? I had a great time at this place. if you're looking to impress a date with drinks, this may not be the place ... blinkys is definitely a cute vibe. it has little booths in the front and a nice backyard, colored lights and all, but the drinks definitely killed it for me. stopped in on a sunday night to get a drink and we got the rose gold and their paloma. both drinks were very strong (nothing wrong with that) but for $15 i would expect there to be some type of balance in the flavor? the rose gold was kinda passable, but the paloma actually just tasted like watered down tequila. could not taste the grapefruit at all. the ice in the paloma was also mostly melted within a few minutes, which could partially be from sitting outside but it definitely didn't help things. i've been to blinkys one other time and i think my drink then was better, but last night was just so unimpressive we pretty much chugged our drinks and left. pictures show the paloma and rose gold, the rose gold is partially gone (midway through chugging). tldr: maybe don't get cocktails at blinkys, get a beer. read more

I thought we were coming to Blinky's for a cocktail experience, but we got was an introduction to fantastic neighborhood bar. The cocktails are average at best, but the vibes are immaculate. Solid for a date but even better for a big group. We came here at around 10:30 on a Saturday night. Indoors, it was pretty empty. We easily walked up to the bar and got the attention of a bartender for drinks. To start, I got the Rose Gold (dorothy parker gin, lemon, hot honey, rosemary bitters) and my fiancé got the Brooklyn Buck (misguided rye, lexical amaro, lemon, regatta ginger beer). The Rose Gold was almost there but the ratios were a bit off. It could've used a bit more sweetness. Also somewhat odd, the drink hardly made a dent in the coupe it was served in. When I finished it felt like I had only received half a drink. Even still, the concept behind the drink was good and I would have greatly enjoyed a properly filled glass. I was in the mood for a dirty martini for my second drink, but sadly they were out of olive brine. I went in a pretty different direction and got the Herbs and Grain (rye, aperol, cynar), which is one of those drinks that's excellent in its simplicity. Rich, bitter, satisfying. My only small critique is that it is served over a sizable handful of ice cubes, which ended up diluting the drink quite a bit as I neared the end. In a perfect world, one square ice block would do. Please understand that I am very picky when it comes to cocktails and this drink was very good overall. Usually I end with food and drinks, but ambience and vibes get their due here. Indoors is cool, though there wasn't much going on in there while we were there. Still, there was a fun projector screen and a DJ so perhaps dancing starts at a later point. Then there's the patio, which was fairly busy but not packed. I think we grabbed the last two open seats out there. This is the kind of place I could see myself hanging out at for hours on end with the right group of people. Tons of seating, lights, a few trees that are so magnificent it's strange to see them growing in the middle of Williamsburg. It's just got great energy. Part of that is the crowd -- pretty diverse in all aspects. We're in our early 30s and I felt like we were probably the average age there, but there definitely was a good range. Folks were friendly and unpretentious and not obnoxious loud. Pretty much all you can ask for in a bar. And while it doesn't seem like they'll take/deliver your drink order out here, staff will occasionally come out to clear empty glasses. Sometimes I like a fast-paced and high maintenance place but sometimes it's nice to pretend a new place is just your backyard for the night. read more

If you want a chill place with a great HH to grab drinks with friends, go on a date, pet dogs, and feel like you're in a neighborhood bar--then Blinkys is your spot. One of the loveliest, friendliest and most special bars (and places) in all of New York! The team at Blinky's was kind enough to let us host our wedding celebration there and they could not have made it more amazing. Every member of the staff, led by the amazing Rhoades, was courteous and professional, even with a large wedding group. The drinks were amazing, the space was perfectly clean and had great vibes, and they were flexible with all our special requests, including pizza delivery, a DJ, charcuterie, and an ice cream truck. I know that it's an amazing spot for a casual night too, but for a big event it could not have been more phenomenal. Blinky's forever!! My favorite cocktail bar in the neighborhood! The pick me up is my go-to. it's a twist on an espresso martini but better. The rose gold gin cocktail is good as well - light and tasty with a subtle kick from the hot honey. And would it be a true review of Blinkys without mentioning the spicy margarita?! Literally adore this place! A cute, cool, neon-tinted bar right in between East Williamsburg and Greenpoint. I figured my friend and I would grab a quick drink before heading out for our Italian dinner, but we ended up staying for almost two hours because of how great of a time we were having. The Rose Gold drink was spectacular and our bartender was really funny and sweet, making it a point to chat up all of his patrons and make sure we were welcome here. He offered to make us a couple original drinks that he thought up on the spot, which were also amazing. Seriously, such a lovely experience (complete with a solid music playlist). Since moving to Williamsburg I've come to this bar at least five times. The reason being is that everything from the vibe, to the service, and even the events (yes, events) here have been on point! I stumbled upon this spot after walking down Grand street taking in all the new options I had right after moving to Brooklyn. Like most people, I was first drawn in by their ambient hue lighting that gives it an almost retro 80's vibe set in modern times. After coming in I was greeted by friendly staff who were knowledgable about drinks and made one of the best martinis I've had to date! When you explore the place even more you discover that their backyard is just as cool as their interior! Lots of open space with tables throughout, it seems like the perfect spot to enjoy a few drinks with a small group of friends. Since I've been back they've had comedy shows, game viewing parties, and specialty food tastings - all posted on their instagram account for the public to know about and come to. I had a great time a few weeks ago with a bar back named Laney! While she was working as a bar back, she gave me awesome service and was super attentive and fun. The bar itself was lively and had a great vibe and the happy hour was great. I loved hanging out with my drinking companion as well as the one eyed dog, who was also a lovely employee of the bar. There's a great outdoor space in the back, so you can have a few friends at your own table too. 10/10 would recommend :) read more
