This place was really interesting! When I found out all the cocktails were on tap, I was a bit skeptical. What do you mean you're not going to mix my cocktail right in front of me? However, I was quickly proven wrong. Not only was the service topnotch, but the drinks were surprisingly delicious and refreshing. There's a ton of options which is also surprising considering the tap only format. Upon further reflection of how tiny the bar is, it makes sense why they would go this route. It would be challenging for one person let alone two to be behind that bar shaking and stirring. I also heard there's a back area with more seating but we didn't explore much further than the front bar stool seating. Came here for happy hour as our dinner was in the area. The happy hour deal is great! Old fashions/Manhattan/daiquiri/margarita for $8 even on weekends feels unheard of in the area. We were lucky to grab 2 seats at the bar as the rest of the seating actually seemed a bit cramped and uninviting. They advertise a heated back patio but I don't think the heat was on and no one was there, which is a bummer. Regardless, the theme is nice with everything attributable to their "laboratory" ambience. Everything is served in beakers or similar glasses. It can get a bit crowded sitting at the bar as that's where everyone orders drinks but otherwise this was quite enjoyable. Will definitely keep on the list for HH. read more

We came here on a Saturday afternoon for happy hour and it was pretty dead but you really can't beat a bar that serves happy hour drink deals everyday of the week! Ingredients are measured with droppers and beakers. Lots of prebatched cocktails on draft. They were understaffed on a Thursday night with one bartender managing the entire front of house. He absolutely hustled but a second and possibly even third compatriot would have been preferable. I had one of the mezcal based cocktails. It was fantastic. I highly recommend you come to Yours Sincerely! It's a super quaint and charming cocktail bar with the nicest bartender, Amy. Amy listened to my preferences and offered suggestions, including some with ingredients that I wouldn't have ordered! It was fun to try new things and expand my palate. I recommend the Desert Spoon ($13) if you like mezcal (smoky flavor) and drinks that are a little sweet but well balanced. It had watermelon, mezcal, sotol, lime, peychaud's and aquafaba which makes the drink frothy. Also, the re-animator ($14) was delicious- it was made with cardamaro, coffee, branca menta and orange. It was definitely better than espresso martinis since it had more depth. The El Nino ($12) was also very good if you like a margarita. It had saline which worked very well, like if you had salt on the rim. The prices were reasonable, and the drinks well thought out. I'll be back! read more

Seems like lots of chemistry involved in making sure the pre-made cocktails stay fresh and have right flavors. The positive is that no matter who the bartender is the flavors are consistent. If you're more keen on super fresh ingredients this might not be your spot. Things we wish they could improve on: better ice. Walking down the streets in Brooklyn's Bushwick neighborhood at night, it's easy to miss this unassuming bar. The outside is marked with a red vertical sign spelling "cocktails" in neon lights. When you enter through the black wooden door, a narrow hallway greets you with the bar and a number of taps on the wall that dispense the alcohol and cocktails at this establishment. There's a couple of booths available (maybe no more than 10), a couple of standing tables, and not much standing room to sip your carefully crafted cocktail in this dimly light, intimate space. While we initially started at a standing bar, one of the staff was kind and pointed out a booth had opened up and ushered us to sit down. We order a number of drinks including the administered dose (penicillin), the desert spoon, the last goodbye, and re-animator served in little beakers that gave a science-y laboratory feel. Each drink was roughly $10-15 and felt distinct from each other. In case you have trouble deciding, they provide a flavor map on the back of the menu to help you choose your cocktail adventure. Best thing on the menu: Re-Animator - cardamaro, coffee bean, branca menta, and orange. Extremely well balanced and tasted like an Andes chocolate mint with a hint of orange and cardamom. I've gone to this cocktail bar a few times now and think it's one of the more COVID-friendly cocktail bars in the area! They have a small indoor area with a few tables to sit and a charming backyard with cute lights and wooden benches. Even on super cold nights, I've been able to sit in their backyard area and not freeze to death. They have many heaters going so that almost every party has their own heater, and a roof and some insulation so you don't feel much of the cold temps or wind. The bar has a chem lab theme so all the drinks come out of a tap and are served in beakers which can be fun! My go-to drinks are the margarita and old fashioned. The margarita isn't overly sweet and has some sort of salt infusion so that you get the taste of salt without an actual salt rim which I found interesting. They also have happy hour from 5-7pm (might be even be from 4pm) most days where I think the drinks are around $6, a great price for a cocktail in Brooklyn! I love an Old Fashioned, Manhattan or a Gin Fizz for summer. There first two are classics for bourbon lovers. It was a bit nippy the night I went so I stuck with bourbon. They have all their cocktails on tap here. I don't know how I feel about that. Im so used to my cocktail bartender friends spending like 15 minutes making each drink and it literally is a work of art. I did however, not mind the price tag...all drinks were basically $8. What a steal! Especially a deal when living in NY. I ended up ordering the Old Fashioned, here it's called Swipe Right. Swipe Right is made with a date infused bourbon. The taps all have these tiny porcelain heads glued on. They're perfected large ice ball in each beaker cocktail and then the cocktail is poured in. My drink was strong looked great but didn't have those Old Fashioned flavor I was looking for. And I wasn't getting much date flavor. I also missed my orange zest and the brandied cherry that not only adds to the flavor but also hits the smell sensor adding to the experience. I like the different spin on cocktails but I would prefer to keep a certain level of cocktail culture alive and kicking. I'm constantly on the prowl to find great cocktails bars away from the obnoxious trust fund babies in Bedford, and decided to try out Yours Sincerely with a friend after work on a Thursday. It's a couple minute walk from the Morgan L in East Williamsburg/Bushwick area and has that industrial feel that's familiar with the area. When we arrived around 5:30pm, there weren't too many people there, but that made it all the more attractive for me. They have a great happy hour from 5pm to 8pm - many cocktails, including margaritas, for $5. They're served from a tap in beakers you'd find in your high school science lab with a big ice ball in the middle. They're cute and kitschy, but not big drinks. But hey, $5. Their regular menu is divided in a couple different ways - cocktails (no bubbles) such as daiquiris, old fashions, negronis, margaritas for $10, a special featured cocktail for $12, carbonated cocktails such as aperol spritz for $10, and cocktail shots for $5. They also have a chart-like map to help you make a decision on what kind of cocktail you want, which is kind of cute. Overall, solid spot for an after work drink if you live in the area or are wanting to hang out in East Williamsburg. I'll be back for more happy hour margaritas! read more

They call themselves a "Cocktail Laboratory," and that totally excited our geek sides. I don't really know what vibe they're going for here. I mean, as far as the whole science lab thing goes, sure, they serve their drinks in beakers. That theme abruptly ends there. This place looks and feels like someone's grandma's farmhouse (complete with horrendous yard sale art of rural landscapes in faux distressed frames) which of course is the end-all-be-all of any hipster joint. And right in line with that theme, the drinks were both pricey and generally underwhelming. Their take on a piña colada, or a "Pineapple Express," is a piña colada so sweet, you'll get the diabeetus. You only order at the bar, but the bar is very small and all seating so you're ordering over people, none of whom could care less that you're just trying to get some drinks (right in line with this kind of crowd). That said, the unnecessarily renamed Old Fashioned (the "Swipe Right")--albeit seemingly small (I'm sure it was an illusion because of the small beaker in which it's served) and despite being flavored with "organic date" (tf?)--while not winning any awards, was not disappointing. Also, we expected cocktails on tap to be super weak, but were pleasantly surprised. They packed a punch. Ultimately, in a city full of great cocktail bars, this spot was just okay. read more

The Penicillin (has a different name in the menu that I've forgotten) here is absolutely the best I have ever had. Literally knocked my socks off. I liked it so much that I bought two. The scent was very strong but the drink itself was smooth. Big worm - absinthe, cognac, and agave bitters. A very strong drink and according to the man who suggested it to me too many of these could be a night ruiner haha. Ruby Slippers - gin, hibiscus agave, and grapefruit. So the drink is very girly looking and in my opinion just okay in the taste department. Folsom Fizz - bourbon, Coca-Cola syrup, and almond. Oy, this was tasty like literally the most adult soda you'd ever had. El Nino - basically a margarita. The drink was good but to me nothing to write home about, there definitely was a pronounced salt taste. Overall, I think that Yours Sincerely is pretty impressive.
