My breakfast plate was so good!

We were in Brooklyn only to board our Transatlantic Cruise, so not familiar with the area at all, but somehow landed at this wonderful place to have lunch. The neighborhood is adorable and staff at the restaurant were not only welcoming, but provided the best service. We actually sat at the tables next to the bar, which especially on a rainy day, felt really cozy.

First time visit for brunch and I'm going to bet that other meals here follow suit similar to their brunch. I think Luana's has been around for two years and I had the opportunity to visit today for a holiday weekend brunch. Sometimes, a pub or tavern lends to a reputation that the food is kind of well, bar food---satisfying but not the best quality. Brunch at Luana's was the pub exception to the rule. For one thing, the space was beautiful, whether indoors or outside on their patio. We originally started outdoors, but bees started to swarm around the area which was when we took things indoors. To start, we selected a drink from their Spritz menu. Mine was Limoncello while the other was Hugo (Elderflowr). For brunch selection, I finally went outside of the (always ordering eggs) box and selected French Toast. The other order was the Ricotta Pancakes. Opinion? They believe in serving more natural products/high quality ingredients. The syrup for griddle orders was pure Maple Syrup and not the high fructose variety found on store shelves. Big plus for me. French Toast was unlike anything I've ever tasted: two thick Brioche slices, light and served with a berry compote and fresh cream. This was to die for and I was ecstatic to pass on ordering anything related to eggs/omelets. I tasted the Ricotta Pancakes which was also extremely good. Both dishes were excellent. My experience today merits five stars: delicious food, service and ambience. I'm eager to return again. I viewed the dinner menu and there doesn't seem to be many choices that aren't fried or red meat. If I could select a healthy option, I'm willing to try and will update my review. Visiting Luana's Tavern for brunch was a great kick off to wrapping up summer during this holiday weekend. But don't fret, there are celebrations taking place here all year long.

Luana's Tavern in Carroll Gardens is our favorite neighborhood tavern serving hearty dishes in casual, warm space. We came by on a Sunday night after we decided we couldn't be bothered to cook and wanted to try a new spot in the neighborhood. We ordered some drinks, Franks in a Blanket and two of their daily specials, the spicy vodka rigatoni and the smash burger royale. We were honestly thrilled with both. For dessert we had the rich chocolate cake and brownie sundae served piled high in an old-fashioned milkshake glass. This is the type of place we want to be regulars at. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the service is great, and the food and drinks are delicious

Excellent service and food. Ordered the bolognese, shrimp tacos, and a smash burger. The outside seating is a great location for people watching and enjoying the neighborhood. They have a few large tvs playing whatever popular sport is on at the time too if you're into that

A favorite local restaurant for my husband Tom and me; we go often. A very nice corner restaurant with a large antique marble bar, a spacious dining area with a party room (with fireplace) and a very large outside area (enclosed with heat for the winter), for excellent sports watching. Family friendly; super for groups; great food; something for everyone. It's definitely a neighborhood lovely feeling type of restaurant we all need and love!

After dinner nearby, we stopped by here for drinks and dessert since we saw the nice outdoor seating. The outdoor space is covered with faux grass and plenty of seating, which would be perfect on a sunny day. I ordered a Specialty Old Fashioned ($17), which was pricier than the regular but not really sure what the difference even is to be honest. We also got an order of Cheesecake ($17) and Franks in a Blanket ($14). While both dishes were good, they were super pricey for what we got. Overall, nice spot to dine on a sunny day out. The service was great as our server was friendly and quick to bring everything out for us, but the price just wasn't worth it.

Good apps, entrees, and drinks! The tavern burger & smashburger will leave you satisfied. The chicken frites was a table favorite as well! Wonderful service and chill ambiance. Absolutely coming back!

My friend and I went to Luana's Tavern at 6pm on a Wednesday. I made a reservation, but it was not necessary for the outdoor space. I was not super attentive to what was going on inside, but it also did not appear to be packed. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and the outdoor vibes were fantastic! My only small issue was they seated another party of two immediately near us when there were plenty of open tables available. I got the smash burger ($23) and my friend got the wild mushroom pappardelle ($21). We split a brownie sundae, but I didn't inquire about the price. My friend enjoyed the pappardelle and had no complaints. I thought the fries were done better than the burger but the dish itself is nothing special, especially for a $23 price point. The patties on the smash burger are so thin they have to cook it medium, and nothing about the sauce or flavor on the meat was outstanding. The brownie in the sundae was also on the dry side, slightly compensated for by the ice cream, but also unimpressive. Service was phenomenal, and I wish I caught the server's name so I could recommend her! She did very frequent check backs but in a friendly, not pushy, manner. Overall, I would recommend Luana's if you're looking for a more upscale dining spot with decent food and excellent vibes.

It's everything anyone would love. Outdoor seating. Street parking. Friendly staff. Tacos delicious. All the reviews said the burgers were great. Sadly not me. Made me nauseous eating my burger. Was not my cup a tea. I recommend for appetizer and drinks.

I visited this place when it first opened, and I'm so glad I did. The interior design is stunning. They have a beautiful vintage-looking bar that takes center stage, as well as lots of seating (including outdoor). The waitstaff was patient and kind, and they answered every question we had about the menu. This place is known for its burgers and duck wings, so we tried both of the burgers on the menu and the wings. The burgers were the best burgers I've tried in years. I don't know what it is about them. They're full of flavor, as are the wings. The crispy chicken sandwich was also really good. You can't go wrong here. It's a great neighborhood spot and I'm looking forward to going back!

On a weekend, there was surprisingly plenty of seats both outdoors and indoors. The waitresses are very friendly and I loved how they engaged with the children. The corn ribs are just an easy way to share an elote. The ricotta toast was soft but crunchy for the crust. They gave a generous amount of ricotta. It was less exciting than I expected it to taste. It was lackluster. The fries for my chicken burger weren't good, but my partner got egg Benedict. Dipping it in their hollandaise egg yolk was yummy. The burger itself had a bit of a kick to it- not too spicy. It was very meaty. They could've put more apricot jam to make it more unique/ the taste more distinct. They have a deal on inkind for $25 off $75+ otherwise I probably wouldn't be visiting again.

That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together.
