I finally got to try it with my friend, and we had a great experience. The pasta was super flavorful, and the portions were absolutely huge. I loved my gnocchi so much! We split a Caesar salad (again huge portion for $10), which was a great starter. Definitely had that distinct anchovy taste that I feel other restaurants shy away from. I loved it. Service was very attentive. Our server, Alex, was kind and checked in on us often. The entire staff was so hospitable from the host at the entrance, to the server, to the others who kept checking in to make sure we had a great evening. The ambience was great. Cozy, clean, very Italian feeling. The restaurant had people in it, and it hit the sweet spot of busy but not overly crowded or loud, especially for a Tuesday night. Parking is on the street since the restaurant is on 6th Ave, but I easily found a spot and walked over. Happy to return!

I think the first couple of times I came here before the pandemic were best. Although, I haven't been back in quite some time so I'd definitely give it at least another shot again in the future. The most recent time, I just remember the bread tasting stale. I didn't like my eggplant parmesan very much, had it so much better at basically every other place I've had it, and a shrimp appetizer was sweet, which I don't want my anticipated savory food tasting sweet. Cute spot and they are often very busy on weekends.

However, I have dined here 5 times over the last 12 months and each time I have experienced 1) servers that neglect the solo diner and 2) lazy bartenders. All five times I have gone here, to both eat and drink, I have been sat at the bar. I normally enjoy the experience of sitting at a restaurant's bar, however the experiences at Spuntino have been unpleasant. 1) When you sit at the bar, they have a server attend to you instead of the bartender standing right in front of you. This would be fine except the server still has a full section in another portion of the restaurant and they tend to forget about their customers sitting at the bar. All five times I've ate here I've constantly had to flag down my server to order, get the check, have my drink that's sitting at the bar handed to me, order another round, etc., which greatly takes away from the dining experience. This leads into the lazy bartenders issue. 2) Despite sitting in front of the bartender as they make your drink, they refuse hand you your drink once it's made and instead will walk a longer distance to place your drink on the service well where it sits until your server comes to deliver it, which in most cases has taken 5-10 minutes. So you're sitting there staring at your drink watering down because the bartenders are too lazy to just hand it to you even though the drink ticket shows that the drink is for a customer sitting at the bar. There have been a handful of occasions where I've had to flag down another staff member to ask them to deliver my drink because my server hasn't come behind the bar and the bartenders will completely ignore you when you try to get their attention. I experienced these problems the first time I dined at Spuntino, and I've tried several times again hoping the experience would be different, but each time it has been the same which has been extremely disappointing and ultimately deterred me from wanting to dine and spend my money here.

I ordered the half portion, and it was plenty; my husband happily finished his full one. A gentleman whose name I didn't catch poured our wine. He was so kind, and we enjoyed chatting with him about California wines. Later, after our cannoli arrived, he came back, pulled up a chair, and asked us about our love story. Such a thoughtful, personal touch. We truly felt the family spirit of this restaurant. It says so much about the owners and their team, the care they show their guests shines through in the service. I had been wanting to try Panzano FOREVER and finally was able to book a reservation for restaurant week. We arrived early for our reservation so we were able to hang out in the bar for a few. I started my night with a tasty glass of prosecco. Who doesn't like prosecco?! For restaurant week, I was able to try the fried brussel sprouts--they came with pistachios, thinly sliced green apple and a maple type dressing. I think those were my favorite item. We also had the calamari. While it was good, it wasn't anything to talk about. With that said, does anyone do calamari outstanding? Probably not. Next up, salads. I had the spinach salad with green apple, gorgonzola and walnuts. The gorgonzola were these little light bits scattered around my plate. Not too little and not too much. My date ordered the caesar salad which had crispy capers and anchovies. The capers were great toasted, I think it mellowed them out a bit. On to the main course: He ordered the rabbit confit gnocchi, I opted for the Pastiche. I couldn't even finish my Pastiche as I wanted room for dessert. Not that the portion size was large. Both our entree dishes came in mini dutch oven type pots. I probably had two meatballs in there with a couple tortellini but it was plenty after all that food. For dessert he had the tiramisu and I opted for the chocolate creme brulee with salted caramel. The creme brulee was great, but I definitely preferred the tiramisu. Light, not soggy, perfect. Their wine list is impressive and we definitely indulged. Our service was great and I will definitely recommend Panzano to everyone and anyone. Thanks for making our night extra special! read more

Hotel dining is never my scene. I know it sounds so un-big city of me, but that is because typically in the second and third tier markets the best food is never found in hotels...not the case here. Panzano is excellent. Negatives - bathroom location Positives - just about everything else. I went with a boisterous...borderline obnoxious group of friends and the server handled us with not just a grin and bear it attitude, he managed to pretend he actually enjoyed our racous ways. The starter special was a burrata that was out of this world good. We also got the calamari and it was good. Cooked perfectly, but calamari just doesn't get me going like the burrata. Then the group ordered the bolognese, the scallops and the veal. Hmmm..how to rank them. Bologenese or Veal which to put first. They were both excellent. One of the best veal dishes I have had in Denver. But the bolognese is something I could crave on a cold day, a day after too much drinking or a day that I am just craving pasta. The noodles were perfectly al dente and covered in a rich sauce, layered with flavor. I was full half way through and continued to eat the entire bowl. If I would have been at home, I think I would have used my fingers to get every last bite of sauce. My husband and I are never restaurant repeaters when we travel, but this restaurant converted us. Homemade pasta, incredible flavors, & excellent service left us craving more when it came time to pick our dinner spot for night two in Denver. The first night around we sat with Chris who took excellent care of us, especially considering we had landed in the city about an hour before sitting down and were squeezing in a nice meal before heading out to a concert. She was excellent. The second night, the staff remembered us and took extra special care of us - seating us at the chef's counter at the kitchen where we were given some additional bites and sips to experience on the house. You can tell the chef loves what he does and we enjoyed chatting with him intermittently throughout our meal. Everything we ordered tasted incredible from the appetizers to dessert. Their pasta and bread are all made in house and you can tell the difference. I especially loved the Ricotta Ravioli which was filled with an amazingly creamy cheese mixture and topped with a flavorful San Marzano tomato sauce. We also loved the Brussels sprouts which were perfectly crispy & topped with an apple cider reduction and julienned green apples. First off let me say that for the previous 3 years, I was raving about how good Panzano was. Each of the last 3 years whilst on a Colorado ski trip, we made sure to visit at least once, it was that good. We ate from the lunch menu, the dinner menu and the happy hour menu. All were amazing with my all time favorite being the Lamb Ragu. Roll on to Feb 2017, we visit Panzano for the happy hour menu on our last day in Denver. Immediately upon studying the menu, I sensed a red flag. For a start the amazing papparadelle pasta with the lamb ragu was replaced with a ragu and beans served with toast. Between the 4 of us we each ordered 3 of the dishes including the "new" ragu dish. The new ragu dish was like a watery bean soup, it lacked even basic seasoning. I questioned our waitress as to what happened to the old ragu and was told that they had a new chef. The new ragu tasted like it came out of a can, i'm sure it didn't but it may as well have. Sorry Panzano you are struck off my list and we will do some research and find a significantly better establishment next year. read more

Ate dinner here with a couple of my gal friends and it had been about 10 years at least since The last time and just got reminded why I loved it so much the first time. You guys this place is a must try! It was simply amazing; from the service, ambiance and the most delicious food! I wasn't a fan of having to pay for a bread basket (Italian restaurant, shouldn't have to pay for it) but man their food is freaking delicious. I had the venison (night special), was scared at first cause I had never had venison before, but I love steak, so I gambled. I literally asked the waiter how often they have this special. It tasted AMAZING! Melt in your mouth meat and the flavors of the purée just was perfection. Had all my friends try it (one of them loved venison so her opinion was important) and she agreed that it was the best she's ever had. It came with some cauliflower purée which was smooth , citrusy and so freaking good. Paired amazing with a side of their Parmesan risotto I ordered. Not cheap but so worth it. I loved this place. I came here on Sunday night with friends for a lovely delicious dinner. Our server, Maggie, was the only down point (and the reason for the lack of stars in the otherwise wonderful evening). Three times members of our party went to the bathroom and saw her on her cell phone and/or playing Sudoku and we all stopped realizing why she was so inattentive to us (we waited for her to ask for more bread, if we could get more tapenade, and later, for our check - for everything - and she would just disappear and leave us sitting there like idiots). It was such a shame because everything else was terrific, the food, the drinks and the atmosphere, we would definitely be back (without this waitress, of course). read more

I recently dined at Panzano and was so pleasantly surprised! House made bread that changes daily with food made from the freshest ingredients made for a dinner that kept me dreaming of the experience long after the evening ended. I had the pancetta wrapped, date stuffed prawns over polenta with pine nuts and gorgonzola crumbles and it was as fabulous as it sounds! They have a very extensive happy hour menu in the bar with great special plates that are more than reasonable in price.....but the homemade bread baked daily in and of itself were worth the trip. I'm a little suspicious of the higher priced Italian restaurants in town when I know a few authentic Italian places that are reasonably priced. But everything about Panzano's was fantastic. The atmosphere, the drinks and the service were great, and the restaurant week menu they had served up some of the best looking dishes on their menu. The gnocchi al coniglio is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. The grilled caesar was a delicious surprise, and the chocolate creme brulee far exceeded my expectations for a creme brulee. One of our favorite restaurants in Denver has fallen from grace. Reality is they miss their chef, Elise Wiggins. In our first visit back to Panzano since her departure, we found a changed and uninspired menu. Pasta lacked flavor, risotto was undercooked and lacked seasoning, a dry aged steak was smothered in a thick, sweet sauce. The meal was a flop. Additionally, the prices have escalated dramatically which leaves an even worse taste in your mouth. Sorry Panzano, but we will won't be back. Barolo Grill is a much better option at this price point. read more

Had dinner here one evening and were not disappointed. A great meal of; calamari appetizer, smoked pork chop over pumpkin gnocchi with cranberry rosemary marmalade entree and tiramisu for dessert. The food was very good, the service was OUTSTANDING. Our wait staff were fast, knew the menu well and were extremely helpful with all of our food. The manager and assistant manager visited our table to check on us, the water and cocktails were refilled immediately and the dishes cleared on time. Bland lobster bisque and pasta that could have used salt and been much better, but there is no salt on the table and the server did not return. The salad was missing mint and basil. They subbed linguine for the tagliatelle in the Carbonara without warning. And the service was nonexistent. We had our food served and cleared, not much else. This is a historic Italian fare that has been in business in the Denver downtown area for a long time. However, the surrounding areas is a bit shady! The food was solidly good and authentic but not at the level that I would say it's other worldly. The staff is friendly and very attentive, which makes up for some of the shortcomings of the food and made our dining experience more enjoyable! read more

I find myself coming back to this restaurant over and over again. Whether it's happy hour with friends or dinner or brunch, the food is always good the service is always excellent and I always leave happy. The prices are reasonable, and I'd consider coming back the next time I'm in town.

Today was the annual family visit to see "A Christmas Carol" First, it is not cheap. It is the restaurant for the Four Seasons hotel, and of course in downtown. We really think it is worth it, though. A major reason for that is the staff. Helpful, friendly, all-around great. Will do almost anything you ask. My granddaughter had a very specific order not on the menu and it was easily and correctly accomodated. The brunch drink menu is small but nice - the espresso martinis really went down well with some of the group. Today I had the Breakfast Quesadilla, which I thought was great - though while most of their plates are a reasonable size, this thing was HUGE. Maria and I could have split it and still had leftovers. Two others at the table ordered it and said it was "special" and "delicious". A great thing about Edge is that they offer a meat-alternative breakfast sausage (Impossible) which I subbed into my quesadilla. They have added a buffet sometime in the last couple of years, and it is not your typical hotel buffet. My grandson did it today and had a great meal. It looked really delicious - my only issue was the meager fresh fruit selection (when I looked, anyway) but it is almost winter... The Country Fried Steak was really enjoyed by my son-in-law. The dining room is better than hotel-standard. Open, light, and airy. We have also hit the bar for drinks and apps after other shows, and it is a pleasant place to hang. They will validate your ticket for the hotel valet parking, which makes it price-competitive with other parking options while being very easy. And the valets are also great.

'Twas the night before Boulderthon, and 'tis my merry tradition to carb-load the eve before a race. I booked an indoor reservation for 6:45 PM on Saturday, about two evenings beforehand. They started us off with bread and what I believe was an olive oil and balsamic vinegar mixture. Be aware that there is a bread service fee per person, which seemed to be around $2 each. For my salad, I got the Spinaci: baby spinach, toasted almonds, orange segments, goat cheese, dried cranberries, and raspberry vinaigrette. Really nice combination. For my entrée, I chose the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe e Tartufo, which I had already decided on before arriving. It came with Roman-style egg spaghetti, pecorino, black pepper, and black truffle sliced tableside. The server actually shaved the truffle onto the dish right in front of me when it arrived, which was a nice touch. The pasta was very creamy and cheesy, although this version of cacio e pepe was different from others I've had before. I'm used to a thicker or more tubular pasta, while this was much thinner and spaghetti-like. Because of that, it wasn't quite my favorite version flavor-wise, but it was still pretty good -- and surprisingly filling despite the portion looking somewhat small. Others at the table ordered the Rigatoni con Salsiccia with spicy Italian sausage, and I tried some of that as well. It was creamy, filling, and very tasty. They also ordered an extra side of Fettuccine Alfredo. Overall, the food was pretty good and the interior had a nice atmosphere. We did have to wait about 5-10 minutes past our reservation time for the table to be ready, but nothing major. Parking, on the other hand, was a nightmare and nearly made us 15 minutes late -- but what can you do on a Saturday evening in Denver? Overall, Venice was a really nice experience, and both my family and I enjoyed it. I'd happily come back if I'm visiting Denver or Colorado again. I went on to run my half marathon the next morning. This time I had intentionally chosen a vegetarian pre-race dinner just to experiment with whether it worked better for me than eating meat. I'm not convinced it did, so next time I may go for that spicy sausage rigatoni instead and continue the highly scientific carb-loading research. Last visited: September 26, 2026

I think it would have been smarter for me to try the spicy vodka rigatoni, the hot honey glazed salmon, or the burger, or even the herb marinated chicken sandwich. It's totally on me for not trying something new. All of their drinks were decent. The margaritas were classic. The Girl with the Red Balloon (Titos, ginger, clarified lemon, grapefruit seltzer) was refreshing and not too sweet. The High and Dry (gin, aperitivo, elderflower liqueur, orange blossom, cava, grapefruit) was dark and moody and savory. Service both times was attentive. The restaurant itself is open and has tall, broad windows and modern decor. This is a good hotel food option, but I would just avoid the steak frites.
