COSMETICS YSL: ask for TIFFANY, she's a cute blonde. Always use her as my personal shopper. She walks me through all departments and helps me find accessories or other cosmetics. Love the girl, she definitely never rushes me or makes me feel pressured to purchase. Clinique: ask for TINA. She's a cute little brunette. Always very attentive and has great taste in shoes. I actually purchased a pair that she had recommended. I also opened up a Nordstrom Credit card with her! :) Mac: CATHERINE and REGINA are seriously AMAZING. They definitely know their stuff. Estee Lauder: my main lady there is FLORA. She is so sweet and always shows me the best options for me. She is able to work with multiple guests at a time without feeling overwhelmed. Lovely lady. read more

Had a wonderful experience today! I had a few last minute items to shop for and the last thing I wanted to do was go to the mall... I've used the buy online/pick up service before but like I said-who wants to deal with the mall this close to Christmas?! I called and Megan Mort in Customer Service was so kind and told me that they offer curbside pick up!! Great news since I had my 1 year old with me, it was raining and the mall was crazy because Christmas was 2 days away. When I got to the store I called Customer Service again and Jerry Martinez was so helpful and accommodating. He verified they had my order and quickly delivered it right to my car!! I know they must be so busy with last minute shoppers like me but it really meant the world that they took the time to make my experience quick and easy even without stepping into the store. read more

Today I ventured to Nordstroms to purchase some candles I had been fond of at a friends house. Not completely sure of the name, I headed to the Tom Ford counter to ask for assistance. Caitlyn S. was more than helpful with helping me find the candles as well as ensuring that I would be satisfied with my purchase. After having a few less than stellar experiences at Nordstroms in the past, Caitlyn definitely help rekindle the love I had for the store. Working in the customer service industry myself, it is a breath of fresh air to be treated well when making any size purchase. I definitely will be doing more shopping in store now rather than online. read more

Jennifer my cutie gal thank you so much for making my pit stop into here so quick. I love coming in getting exactly what I am looking for and leaving. I stopped in today to get a specific style of heel for a wedding this weekend and I literally found true love as soon as I walked into the shoe area. I found the most dreamy pair of heels and a lovely associate to help me. Jennifer was super sweet and got me the shoe I asked for so quick. I was literally in and out in 5 min. Well of the shoe area I should say. Aside from the heels they have an amazing selection of fall booties I am dying to snag. Today I was in too much of a hurry but I'll def be back to stock up on some new fall styles! read more

This is a review of the personal styling service at the Brea location. Three weeks ago I received an email from my Nordy Club account advertising personal styling appointments. I decided to try it and booked an appointment for today. At the time of booking I was asked to provide my sizes and the type of clothing I was looking for, which I did. I also provided information on what I DIDN'T want. I received a reminder 24 hours in advance. I left work early today for my appointment and it was disappointing and a complete waste of time. I thought that booking 3 weeks in advance would mean the stylist would have been prepared with what I was looking for. I asked for no sleeveless, my room had three sleeveless tops, and the rest of the clothes were almost all not the correct size, either way too big, or so small I couldn't even button them. If you book online it seems they just grab a few things that are on the floor right before your appointment and stick them in a dressing room for you. Well, I could have done that myself! The stylist told me she was only given my appointment the night before at 4pm, which was the same time I received the reminder. She said if I booked direct with her she would drive down to South Coast Plaza and pick things for me. Why would she need to do that? Do the store associates not have access to any of the items online like the consumer does? The stylist went back onto the floor and was bringing me more clothes to try, but she was bringing me pants 2-3 sizes too small and told me to try them on to see how they fit....I couldn't even pull them over my hips. I shop at this location frequently, either in person or online ship-to-store and usually don't have a problem. I have purchases all my work, trouser-style pants in-store, I put in my appointment request that I was looking for work clothes, sizes and brands, yet there not a single pair of work trousers in my size. Everything was either too small or too flowy and casual. And I don't mean that they were in the size I requested and cut smaller, but they were completely the wrong sizes. There were a couple of pairs of black jeans that were the correct size, but I walked in wearing black jeans, so I was in the market for something else. As far as the tops, two were too small and skin tight, three were so big that I was swimming in them, and the rest were these hideous flowered shirts that honestly look like they should have been for sale at Walmart, not Nordstrom. I was prepared to buy some clothes today and pay extra for tailoring and after 45 minutes I walked out empty handed. The stylist said if I would like to try again she would drive to South Coast Plaza for more selection, but its just easier to shop online and try on at home. I just went online and found a lot of stylish clothing in my size, The only saving grace of the whole experience was that I didn't designate it as a double Nordy Club points day in advance. read more

Shoppers BEWARE with your purchases here! Nordstrom's employees are poorly trained ( especially at the Santa Anita and Brea locations) and they do not take accountability for their errors. They do not inform customers entirely of their new purchase/return policies and expect customers to just know them. Then they make the customer out to look like criminals. I have been a loyal customer and have been shopping there for 30+ years. Never experienced such poor, degrading service from the cashiers and "acting manager" like today. These people lacked people skills and professionalism. No wonder they are closing stores. Better just stick with Saks and Neiman. read more

I've always had great experience and outstanding customer service but today was THE worst. I had ordered a pair of shoes online (that have been sold out for weeks) and received the email that they were ready to be picked up. I was SO excited. I patiently waited for Jessica S.(employee) to find my order and while I was sitting there another employee noticed that I had been waiting for a while and decided to go and help look (which I thought was very helpful of him). 15-20 minutes later she came back and stated that she was unable to locate my order. Confused and upset as to how that mix up would have happed since I had the email confirmation AND on their end stated the shoes were AT the store and ready to pick up. Every question I asked she avoided answering and only stated she could refund me. I didn't want a refund in hopes they would have found my order THEY misplaced. That way if they located it, it would still be under my name and not be placed back on the shelves to be resold to another customer. VERY disappointed in how they handled the situation and the insincere apology and customer service I received from her. Hoping situations like these are handled in a better way and they're able to figure out better solutions to avoid this happening to future/returning customers. read more

This past Sunday we were at the store and it was a bit disappointing. The bathrooms were disgusting, my husband and I went to customer service because someone had peed all over the floor in the men's room. The women's bathroom looked like it hadn't been touched since the day before. No seat covers, the feminine product disposals were over flowing in the stalls, I've been in gas station bathrooms that were cleaner. We never got the chance to talk to customer service because there was only one woman working and she had her hands full with a customer who didn't speak English. Kind of surprised that on a Sunday afternoon there was only one person in customer service, but then again I was also surprised at the state of the bathrooms. read more

Went to the Nordstrom Bistro. It's OK, nothing special. I recommend going to the Cerritos Nordstrom Bistro, the people there are a lot more energetic and they actually have french fries. This location does not. As for the Nordstrom itself, theres nothing special about it. I had the best experience at the Nordstrom Brea about a month ago! Alec D. in the Women's Shoe department was wonderful! He was so helpful. I enjoyed working with him so much that I called the store back a few days later to help him track down a hat for me that I needed for my upcoming trip to Europe. He found the last hat at a Nordstrom in Hawaii and had it shipped to me with free shipping which was such a pleasant surprise! I will definitely be coming back to Nordstrom Brea and working with Alec. Such a job well done! read more

Nordstrom's is the best place to go when you want to buy shoes I find the very best shoes when I come here uncle Tommy

False advertising! We saw this watch case it said, "50% off or more." So when I inquired about a watch I liked and asked what the original price was compared to the sale price it wasn't 50% off. It was more like 30% off. The manager said it was only select items and was "up to 50% off." We then went to see the sign and it said "50% off or more." He said the sign was wrong there was nothing he could do about and thus I declined to buy the watch. I was super disappointed because it would have made a nice birthday gift for me. I thought honest advertising still existed at Nordstrom, unfortunately I was wrong. read more

My SA at Santa Anita Nordstrom was able to track a Longchamp small "Le Pliage" in the color I wanted down over at Brea Nordstrom. Chris from their handbag department helped me over the phone and was able to find it in the back, ready to be sent to the Rack for an even lower sale price. The Nordstrom sale price was $60-something and the Rack pricing was $43, so I saved even more! Originally, Chris had told me that he couldn't ship it to me because it was technically a Rack item, which was no problem as I was ready to drive over there ASAP to pick it up. He double checked for me and for some reason, he was able to ship it directly to my house. I don't know how, but I got super lucky and I'm super happy Chris was able to find my bag for a lower price! read more

I have to give this location 3 stars and I'll tell you why. The ladies working at the shoe department are fabulous, they helped me find what I was looking for. Shoe after shoe after shoe I asked for in my size never once did they give me attitude. Love it. When they didn't have a particular shoe in stock they found it online and ordered it for me. Quick service. 5 stars. The lady working the Encore department. Always very sweet when I come by. Makes sure I have a fitting room ready. She always knows what particular piece I'm talking about when I'm trying to describe what I'm looking for. 5 stars. Now let me tell you about the two overweight jerks working at the MAC cosmetics counter. I'm walking towards I see one guy chatting with two ladies. Okay he's helping them out. I get it. So I wait, walk around looking at the products. See some things I might want to get. Up comes another guy, I say hi. He never looks my way. Doesn't greet me at all. Say hello again, he says "Yes..?" I ask about the Pro Longwear nourishing waterproof foundation. He points at the NARS counter and goes back to ignoring me. I try to get his attention again but to no avail. I look around for another employee nobody there. There were like 5 other women waiting at the counter for someone to help them. These two guys weren't paying attention at all. I had to leave because I wasn't going to give my money to these jerks. Those two men apparently think work is just chatting up your friends and ignoring potential paying customers. Just because you sell MAC Cosmetics doesn't mean you're hot sh!t darlings. Come back down to Earth. ZERO STARS FOR YOU, BOO!! Why does MAC have the worst employees?? I love your makeup, but why do your employees have major attitudes?? How am I supposed to spend my money at your counters??? Don't you want my $$?? 3 stars even it out. read more

This is a review regarding the BP shoes department. I'm disappointed to say the least and wish that I took a picture of what I saw. 4 employees, all standing there, in the middle of the floor when there was a bunch of people looking for assistance. I've been to the BP shoes department multiple times and every time, I'm never approached and asked if I need assistance. It's upsetting because I don't think that my age should be a deciding factor on whether or not I'm going to make a purchase that will give them enough commission. Not to mention, a female employee in the group was standing there texting. I also noticed when someone who seemed like the manager asked an employee to check for something in the back she gave attitude to not only the customer but also the other employee. I'll stick to online shopping because the search bar's a lot more helpful than those 4 employees were. read more

Hate Nordstrom's. Wonderful decision to be just like Macys. Bought my last item from them. A pair of cheap $79 shoes online they wouldn't take back & I can't wear...I guess I'll help the homeless. Searched on line for some of my favorite things I used to buy at Nordstrom's. The cologne I returned tonight was $89 at Nordstrom's. Online $49. Tommy Bahama about the same price with better selection. Same for my $150 Bugatchi shirts. I always knew I could save money online, but I liked to touch...not anymore more. I'll take my $5 or $10K a year elsewhere. Another brick n mortar going Toys R Us...goodbye. read more

Since I am reviewing a department store, I'd like to address one of the biggest mysteries of all time...... Why do some people call Nordstrom, nordstroms? I'd love to hear an answer. I normally stay away from these type of places. I'm a guy so I guess it's safe to say that I don't like to shop unless there's going to be zombie apocalypse. But I have to highlight my experience at this Brea Nordstrom since I got an exceptional service this morning. Today is the start of their anniversary sale for 2015 so it was already quite busy at 10 am. Needless to say that all of their associates are running around at the men's shoe department. I was looking for a pair Sperry and quickly spotted the exact style that I wanted. So I stood in front of the register, waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. A Spanish speaking short guy (I heard him speak the language) made eye contact to me and for a couple of seconds, I thought he was gonna say something but nope, he flat out ignored me. Finally, a guy named Fernando noticed me and told that I would be assisted shortly. He eventually referred me over to a guy named Eric which was genuinely helpful. I asked about the early access signs and he told me that it was for exclusively Nordstrom cardholders. I told him my wife has one and he gladly suggested that I could use the benefits of her membership by just providing him a photo of the actual card. While I was waiting for the photo message, I tried a couple more pairs and quickly decided on one. Once I got the photo, and showed it to Eric, he happily rang me up and I was out the door with a new pair of summer shoes. Give this guy a raise. read more

Went in there after soccer practice to buy a gift for my mom. Since I was in soccer shorts no one wanted to help me. I sucked it up and bought my mom the gift cause I had already saw it. Bought her a Michael Kors handbag that she wanted. Again took me half an hour to get someone to talk to me. Paid for it and they were a little nicer. Passed by the men's department and three employees standing around said something. Didn't pay much attention to it until I heard it again, "there's some hangers you should go pick up" and they started to laugh. I was so furious! Never have I been so disrespected in my life. Will not be going back. Bought the same item at Macy's. read more

**UPDATE** 03/14/16 I swore i would never go back but this one the only Nordstroms that had the Burberry bag i wanted in stocked. So who ever worked the handbags area it was a blonde and a male during 12-1pm .. Were extremely rude! again no one asked if i need help which i did!! i dont understand why the employees here never help me.. they help everyone around me.. yes i was wearing work out clothes but trust me i could of bought that bag cash but they would never know since they didnt help me or offer i ask or would walk towards them n they would just walk the other direction.. Thought they maybe talked to their employees or did extra training on customer service but i guess not. I mean im more than willing to take their position if they dont want it, since thats how it comes across. I rather drive all the way to South Coast then give Nordstroms in Brea my money again ..so sad ... Can i just start off saying i love Nordstrom's but every time i come to this one i leave feeling horrible and angry. I went on sat the 16th and tues the 18th and i got the worst service .. if i can even call it service.... I went on sat to go buy a Minkoff bag and i was there asking for help and standing there and nothing so i walked away and went to the mac area which is right by the handbags and i couldnt get helped either i was looking for a lipstick and then finally a girl just pointed to the lipsticks and said this red is nice and walked away then this girl with purple highlights in her hair stood next to me for like 5 min with out asking me anything! i was so annoyed at his point i walked out, i just dont understand nordstroms.... i have money to spend but your employee's see me like i might not have money and dont help its a shame!! last time i go this nordstroms !!!! read more

I love me some Nordstrom, but this review is solely for their bridal suite. I made an appointment here and brought a few of my bridesmaids. Their bridal suite is in a tiny corner on the 2nd floor, and their selection is.. well, pathetic. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. There were only a handful of racks with dresses, and their variety was small. Some of the dresses were so outrageous, and some of them were so tiny, like 000 size pretty much. I wanted to just leave, but I had dragged my girlfriends all the way out to Brea, so I just kept the appointment. My consultant was... not warm. At my request, I only had her help clip me into the dresses, but as I came out and looked at them in the mirrors, she just stood off to the side. Sometimes she left and had side conversations with her coworkers, other times she was texting on her phone and didn't even hear me when I would call and tell her I was ready to be clipped. She offered no advice, was reluctant to describe the dresses and the materials to me, or any alterations that could be made. Frankly, she seemed like she hated her job and wanted to get the appointment over with. My girlfriends and I all felt uncomfortable. I expected Nordies to have a way better bridal suite. More dresses, bigger selection, and nicer consultants. Words can't even describe how disappointed I was. read more

This review is SOLELY dedicated to the rep who helped me out this past Saturday at the Philosophy section of Nordstrom! I think her name might have been Monica? She's from Sacramento, but she was super nice and helpful. She was so nice to me, even after I purchased the Micro delivery Vitamin C Resurfacing peel she wanted to continue asking me about my personal life and getting to know me and kept complimenting me. :) She has awesome Customer Service and I would recommend her to everyone, if only great reviews can give reps a raise, she definitely deserves it. read more

I'm usually one to write a positive review. For the most part I write reviews of the places I enjoy. However, this experience was the worst I've ever encountered. I've never felt more uncomfortable in a store. I went in the store for a pick up of makeup products that I placed I order for at home. First, I glanced through the makeup section just to have a look at anything that would catch my eye. Most associates ignored me and continued on what they were doing when finally one asked me if I needed any help. I asked where customer service was and that associate asked another. They told me where it was then one of the associates I caught looking at me up and down. Which made me totally uncomfortable! I walked away to reach the third floor and again, I may be old fashioned, but some of the associates are so busy or focused on what they are doing to even acknowledge me. When I got to customer service. There was one person there and she asked me to wait while she helped another customer and someone else come help me. Finally, someone came up and this individual seems very nice. Even acknowledged something I had in my hand. Which I thought would spark more of a conversation. It was evident when this person stopped acknowledging me and started ease dropping on the conversation beside us. Which I though was totally rude! Then just handed me the bag without even looking at me. The only thing that made up for it was when one of the girls for the Anastasia section helped me pick out an eyebrow color. Let me tell you, she was so great! I forgot her name but I think she said she was there on Fridays. She helped me with the products that I bought. Showed me how to use them. She didn't ignore me. She was so sweet and not once did it seem like she was just there to be there. That's the only reason why I'm even giving this review 3 stars. read more

I visited the Chanel cosmetics counter and was helped by Anita Luna (she gave me her card). I went to try an eye shadow palette I saw in Glamour and the second I slowed down to look for the eye shadows, Anita approached me! She was incredibly warm and inviting. She graciously offered to show me how the colors would look, and offered to show me other products. She was incredibly sweet, and wasn't high pressure at all to purchase (as in, she didn't make me feel guilty when I didn't purchase). I wanted to try the colors to give my husband ideas of what to get me for my birthday. I would HIGHLY recommend Anita and the Chanel counter for high customer service, friendliness, and knowledge of the cosmetics and skincare line. Thanks Anita! read more

Horrible service here at Nordstroms. I've walked around the same department for 20 minutes now with no help offered...

Nordstrom is my happy place. Sometimes I come here on my lunch breaks when I have nothing else to do. Recently, the bf somehow managed to rip his dress pants, which he bought from Nordstrom almost two years ago. I have $100 in free alterations thanks to my Nordy's card, so I brought them in to be fixed. The associates in the men's department are SO helpful, calling the tailor right away and tried to find the same pants at other locations since they didn't carry them at this particular location at that moment. The tailor ended up fixing the pants at no charge and had them ready the next day. I would eat my lunch here everyday if it wasn't so frowned upon. read more

this is definitely my favorite Nordstrom! mainly because it's the closest so i know where everything is and because i know the workers in the areas i shop in which is a HUGE plus. making a relationship with them makes it easier for me to shop. they call me when there is a sale, double/triple Nordstrom points or if they have a gift with purchase (in the make up area) i also noticed that the employees here are nicer than other nordstroms (ie south coast) i love this Nordstrom it's convenient, clean, well organized, and great service. read more

I gave a 2 star rating because I had a really bad experience at the watch counter. I brought in a Micheal kors watch that I wanted to return and did not have the receipt for. I have never had a problem returning anything at Nordstroms which is why I always shop there. The assistant manager Kristen was extremely rude to me. She refused to return the watch or even exchange it for me because she couldn't look it up. There have been plenty of times that an associate wasn't able to look something up for me but I've been able to exchange it. Nordstroms guarantees a 2year period where they fix anything that goes wrong. They wouldn't even fix the dead battery for me. I will not be returning to nordstroms Brea anytime soon. I've never experienced such horrible customer service at a Nordstrom of all places and will be advising all my friends and family to stay away as well. Really disappointing. read more

I'm uncertain why this Nordstrom makeup counter fails so badly. Apparently Nordstrom is having their half-yearly sale so it was hectic. I like buying my makeup at the Clinique counter so I attempted this store even though I've not had success in the past. I waited for well over 10 minutes and nobody said a word to me, but my sister has no patience and walked to a different counter and asked for assistance, this person said she couldn't help because I needed darker foundation she asked me to wait for the Clinique specialist. We didn't wait we went to the Macy's Clinique counter and were waited on immediately. read more

Very disappointed. My husband bought La Mer foundation for me for valentines day and this past weekend I took it with me on my flight to Phoenix. Opened suitcase and it was everywhere. I have traveled with makeup including foundation and never had this happen. I was upset also, because it's expensive and now it is all gone. So I went to Nordstrom and explained and the manager of the store said It's my responsibility to take care of my makeup. I do take care of my makeup this is clearly a malfunction with my make up bottle. I showed her that I can't tightened and it had a cap that should have prevented the pump from releasing foundation. This was my first time with this product and expected some resolution, this is a problem with the product not the consumer. This manager needs to reevaluate her lack of problem resolution and making customers feel bad over a product problem. I can shop anywhere and will not be giving Nordstoms Brea anymore of my money. Customer service is not the greatest at this location. Went into the mens section to buy something specific. Some guy that was helping me gave me the vibe that he was annoyed by me asking questions about the particular item I was looking to buy. He rushed my items to the cash register and rang me up when I wasn't done asking questions. I felt rushed. On top of that, he picked up a call while he was in the middle of closing my transaction. Still on the phone for at least a good few minutes. While he was talking, He just handed my receipt without bagging or boxing my purchase. I had to ask for him to please bag it or whatever they do for the holidays. Store is nice. Customer service not so great. Ive had better service at other locations. read more

I love Nordstrom. It is my favorite department store. I love their selection, their return policy, and their willingness to help their customers. I however, had a horrible experience at this location with a lady working a makeup counter. I have never felt so unwanted or like a nuisance in my life. This lady was on her phone, like a teenager looking at Tik Tok. I mean consumed by her phone, so much so that I was browsing the Charlotte Tilbury counter for a solid 10 minutes before I asked her if I could exchange something because she never looked up from her phone to acknowledge my presence. Even after asking her, she still was looking at her phone for a solid like 10 seconds (awkward af) before directing me to the service counter to exchange. And when she did tell me, it was loud and rudely, like how dare I have the audacity to make her look away from her phone. Anyway, when I came back after I got my return to do the exchange, she's still consumed by her fucking phone and doesn't realize I'm there. Her coworker from a makeup counter across tells her that I'm back, and she rolls her eyes and acts like she wants to help. She didn't know shit about the brand and was like there really aren't many options for what you're looking for with Charlotte Tilbury, idk probably as a means to rid of me and get back to her stupid phone or she's just discriminatory because I'm brown skinned idk. read more
