I worked with Diane in Via C last night and she was AWESOME! I worked for Nordstrom for 8 years and its nice to see someone who is still giving old school Nordstrom Service-Thanks! read more

Gina Santana in the Home section upstairs is so wonderful! She knew exactly what I was looking for after she listened to me. She gave the greatest advice. THANK YOU!!! read more

My absolute favorite Nordstrom location. Tara at the Chanel counter is amazing. I love when someone takes the time to explain things instead of getting impatient waiting for me to buy something. I always love their topshop selection and their cafe bar section downstairs. Always amazing. read more

Nordstrom Cafe sucks.... ordered the following pepperoni pizza crispy thin crust and the herb chicken with roasted vegetables. Pizza was not crispy... crust was soft Herb Chicken with roasted vegetables... it was a salad with pieces of vegetables. False description here. Roasted vegetables means a whole cor, large pice of bell pepper etc.... not a salad with these ingredients. 30 dollars later..... feel ripped off read more

i'm a very loyal nordys customer since i worked there during every summer in college. they treat their employees very well and the customers even better. i come to brea nordstrom for just about everything. from makeup to shoes to clothes and accessories. the return policy can't be beat. years ago i had a favorite franco sarto boots that i wore for 2 years and one heel broke. when i went back to the shoe section to find a similar pair...the sales person searched their system and couldn't find it; and i didn't like anything they had-- so she decided without even the manager's approval to give me a full refund of the original price from 2 years ago! AMAZING service! i felt sort of bad, but i took the money and ran! ..ran to the TBD which is now my all time favorite department. i love the brands they carry from Splendid to FreePeople and Hudson. although ppl say their prices are high, i think its pretty much the same as anywhere else in comparison. the anniversary sale is my favorite time of the year. they bring out fall clothing in the summer at 20 to 30% off. i always kill at this sale. you really have to come on the first three days or do the presale because the best items sale out quickly. you also can dtc (direct to customer) for free shipping, which is fine, but i like to get my stuff right away. i'm also really short, so i have to tailor all my clothes pratically. nordys does basic tailoring for free and a small fee to keep original hem or make a new one. i love the full service they provide most. read more

Terrible customer service! Even on slow days, they don't even acknowledge you. I walked by several times to get their attention and even stopped and looked at the merchandise which was in front of the cash wrap where all of them were hanging out at. Very disappointing for a big company! They're lucky enough to get three stars cause I love shopping here for my shoes which most places don't carry ( 5.5-6) read more

I used to LOVE the brea mall. They had relatively nice stores but since Jcrew has moved out and there are more teeny bopper stores than young adult stores I find it hard for me to shop at this mall. This Nordstroms particularly compared to other locations has a very poor variety of clothes. They are always out of sizes and their customer service is not great. I asked 2 associates what time they closed and neither of them knew. How do you not know what time the mall you work at closes??!!! read more

Came in ready to buy shoes in the men's department. There were 5 salespeople working the floor, but 3 of the 5 were busy pandering to one customer. After waiting for over 20 minutes one salesman finally acknowledged me (wasn't hard I was holding a shoe right at the check out counter) and asked what size I needed. 10 minutes later he brings out the wrong shoe in the wrong size then rushed off like he couldn't be bothered. I figured I wasted enough time here and would not be spending money for this horrible quality customer service. If you see him: about 5'10, ashy brownish blonde hair, hipster clothes and matching hipster glasses, with a 5 o clock shadow, turn around unless you have time to spare waiting around on him. read more

Experienced the old Nordstrom today. Alex at kiehls counter was awesome with her service. Really makes us want to drive way down here in brea instead Arcadia read more

Had such a positive experience with one of the Mac make-up stylist! Katie was very patient with going over a variety of color lipliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses, even sharing awesome colors and suggestions, for everyday use! I always feel nervous going there on a day off, without any make-up, and all the woman who work at the counter are always so gorgeous. I feel silly to ask for suggestions. But, Katie made me feel so comfortable, and absolutely understood what style and colors I was looking for!!!! I felt she was very kind, positive, and so comfortable to talk with. I loved all her suggestions, and I am looking forward to scheduling with her for makeup, at my next Christmas Party! I HIGHLY recommend Katie, for anyone looking to try new colors, makeup styles, or beautiful, professional looks, to have for everyday!!!! From now on, I will ALWAYS go to the Brea location, with Katie for more make-up!!!! I'm now excited to learn and try all new ideas! read more

I been shopping for many years at this store, I'm also a credit card holder, last time I went to this store I had a terrible experience due to their discriminatory practices, I tried to buy a pair of earrings, when the employee scanned it showed $43.00 price then she said that she had to adjust the price due to the fact that it was a returned item sold at discounted price so she said the current price was $64, at the same time next to us there was another employee telling her customer "that she was buying a returned item and was very lucky because she was getting the item at a discounted price" the price the original customer paid when item was on sale, the customer was Asian and I'm Latina...does race discrimination exist at Nordstrom brea? read more

I bought a wool sweater at Nordstrom and then took it to the dry cleaner to get it laundered. When I got it back, it had shrunk up to almost half the size. I then took it back to Nordstrom to get a refund, but they refused to give me my money back and the sales lady was extremely rude about the whole matter. I will never shop there again!! read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Horrible customer service. Came in to look for bridesmaid dresses with my best friend for her wedding. The employees gave us dirty looks like we weren't good enough to be shopping at nordstroms. Not one person asked if we needed help either. Absolute awful people. They give nordstroms a bad name. read more

Good customer service! Always a pleasure to shop here! 4 stars because they do not carry ample of items and sizes as other nordstroms. Other than that love shopping here. read more

I was very disappointed in the poor service that I received today in the designer handbag section. The lady was rude and disrespectful and I was never so embarrassed in my life. I spent thousands of dollars a year at the store and do not deserve to be treated like that. read more

I've been shopping here since it was built and I want to recommend Earnest in Woman's shoes to be your personal shoe shopper he goes above and beyond for me for all departments I get the best nicest sweetest service from him Always! read more

Went to the Philosophy counter. Asked the girl about a product and if she had samples to which I got a quick "no".....knowing damn well she could have got a sample cup. I used to work for a nordstrom, it's very easy to make a sample for a customer. Went to sephora and I got my sample PLUS more, without even asking. NOT RETURNING TO ANY NORDSTROM AGAIN read more

I absolutely love this store. Everyone here is so helpful and they seem genuine. You can tell that most of the sales people want to be there because of how hard they work. If you want probably one of the best coffees you'll try, and don't want to go to Starbucks, the E Bar is amazing. They have a lot of options besides coffee, like a piña colada smoothie! I recommend this store so much because you feel valued! read more

Totally love it here. The center is always clean and has great inventory. The staff are always delighted and content to help customers. I think this is possibly the best Nordstroms out here is Orange County. read more

One of the best department stores to shop. This location is a bit smaller than others, but they can order whatever you desire and ship it to your home for free. Great customer service. read more

For the Men's clothing dept. Was on my way to wedding and my wife had an appt at the MAC store for her makeup. I decided the purple shirt I was wearing just didn't seem right. So I thought I would head over to Nordstrom and see if can buy a shirt real quick that hopefully wasn't to wrinkled. I am always a "man with a mission" look on my face. Eric noticed this quickly and asked if there was something he can do for me. Told him the scenario and he quickly recommended a couple shirts, gave me his point of view on how they looked. He then offered to iron the shirt for me while I waited. I know that this is service that is expected from Nordstrom but when you have that "feeling" that someone is genuinely wanting to and trying to help you out is a good feeling. And that's what this review is about. I'm not one that is hard impress, but once I am I am a customer of yours for life. Eric thank you. I will be back to purchase more from you. read more

Matt in customer service was outstanding! I had an issue with a DTC and he went the extra mile to rectify the problem. He was incredibly apologetic on the sales persons behalf and demonstrated the utmost professionalism. Now that's great customer service. Thank you Matt! read more

I am (was) a regular customer here, but have come to realize that unless you are dripping with diamonds don't expect to receive decent service. I've asked for help from someone in their department and been told to find someone else. Wow. If your staff can't or won't help a customer it is 'their' job not mine to find someone who can or will. This store has some snooty staff that needs some serious customer service training. Or maybe the store's customer service training needs overhauled? read more

I was in the women's clothing department, specifically lingerie- and Joy helped me. She was very helpful. I had called prior to arriving to the store and asked her if a chemise was available in large or XL. She said that it was really busy in the store, and asked me to call back. I appreciated her tone and she didn't brush me off like I was a nuisance while she was in the midst of assisting other clients. I came to the store and tried on the chemise and while in the fitting room, she asked if I wanted to try on any Chantelle bras while I was in there (good upselling!!!) I said yes, told her my size, and she promptly brought them over for me to try on. At the register, while making my exchange and new purchase, I asked about a different color for the bra. She said that it would have to be mailed to me, and was very attentive. I recommend you ask for Joy, when visiting this location! She is marvelous! read more

Used to love this store. Still like the merchandise...customer service has gone down a bit....but what I REALLY HATE is the obnoxiously loud music.... I can't stand it anymore!!! Seriously, I'm in the dressing room and I hear these lyrics playing throughout the store....."When do I die, when do I kill myself..." I AM SERIOUS!!! ( I can see why this song would be appropriate for , uh..like..maybe bathing suit season..) I couldn't wait to get out of the store. My friends have told me the same thing...they used to enjoy the store, but now it's just irritating. Nordstrom USED to be an oasis from all the other department stores in a mall....but now, if I buy from them, I buy on-line. I used to return my online purchases to the Brea store, and browse/shop in the store...most of the time buying something I would keep. Now I can't wait to get out of the store. BRING THE PIANO BACK! Or, at least play music that is background music, not overly loud, club music. Entertain your sales assoc. AFTER the store closes...not while I'm shopping!!! read more

the best department store at this mall

Nordstrom's are usually very good places when it comes to the quality and selection of their stuff and customer service and this one is no exception..... Umm.. Yeah, that's all I got. read more

Customer service is good... BP seems to just make the same clothes over and over with different prints... I would like to see more variety... don't like their policy of using only 1 credit/gift card tho... read more

I really don't think I need to review something that is obviously so good at what they do. Everyone that works there is really nice. They mostly have everything that I want in stock when I order online for pickup. But their customer service line can get pretty long and I've gotten impatient while waiting. They might need more people in that dept. read more

Got Minnetonka moccasins here and Danielle was super helpful and friendly :) actually All the workers were friendly.

Thank you Alec in women's shoes. I did not have all the info I needed about the purchase I wanted but you were patient and so helpful. Nordstrom's employees are the best. read more

It's about 3rd time I go to Nars counter and for some reason I get the worst customer service every time it's always a wait and the Nars employee take their sweet time I have no idea why they talk amongst themselves act like they are looking for something. I waited more just for a return I had to ask someone else and Princess looks at me and tells me to wait.. and takes another 10 minutes she was the one giving me snotty, horrible attitude telling me I need to return the gift it came with which was some dime size foundation samples.. I told her I didn't know we are supposed to return them I've NEVER HEARD THIS from a Nordstrom's staff. I will bring them back to her since she's dying for them how tacky of her. She rolled her eyes at me after telling her I'm not going back to my house and try to find them then that's when she tells me "ok this will be the last time but next time can't let you slide" I didn't appreciate her attitude over some samples.. really move on it's samples for everyone..this is ridiculous I hope management deals with this.. I know I didn't do anything to her to deserve her tacky attitude.. so I went to to Tom Ford amazing! I got me a great foundation.. thank you Stephanie!! read more

There are good Nordys and bad Nordys...Definitely one of the best Nordstroms I've been to. We have shopped in the bra/lingerie department, men's jeans, women's and men's shoes and have had excellent service every single time. The more expensive it is, the better they'll treat you :P. But either way our experiences have been good every time. And they have a good selection (although I haven't been to women's clothing). read more

This will definitely be my new Nordy's location. I came to return some ties that just didn't go with my wardrobe. Their selection here was pretty incredible, the department manager who assisted me was top notch, the store was clean. What else can I say? It's Nordstrom. read more

It's Nordstrom - while I made a quick in and out for what I needed, employees are always helpful and never pushy.

I'm most likely the first to say this on here but - I am not a big fan of department stores. In fact, I hate them! However, Nordstrom doesn't seem to annoy too much and in fact, yesterday I went to the Brea Nordstrom for the anniversary sale (which wasn't too packed thank God!). It wasn't until I went to the Chanel makeup bar that I was having a good time and wasn't so irritated. My sister got her makeup done by a lovely lovely lady by the name of Kim! Kim was super nice and gave my sister such a good makeover with her skills (her eyeliner job was on point)! I can't tell you how much I am not into going to Nordstrom, but I can tell you that I really like Brea Nordstrom and won't mind coming here anymore with such friendly service! Thanks Kim! :) read more

Absolutely love this location! They always have what I'm looking for and available selection and sizes! By far one of the best Nordstroms I have been to. I don't mind making the trip from South Bay to this location because they always have what I am looking for. I've never had a bad experience as far as customer service. Love! read more

I hate coming to this Nordstrom. It's hard to get people to help you out either checking out, asking questions, or even trying to get a dressing room. I don't know if they profile everyone but I do go in usually in workout clothes and after the gym. That might be a factor. I don't know if there short staffed or what but I try to stay away. Fashion Island or Irvine Spectrum Nordstrom are WAYY better. So maybe shop here if you dress like you have alot of money or otherwise go somewhere else to be treated better. I will gladly drive 25 more minutes to have better customer service. I mean if you are spending a chunk of change you might want to be actually treated decently. read more

I rarely write reviews but this deserves a 5 star to Hayley at the sunglasses counter. Great service! I came in to get a screw for my favorite sunglasses (a screw fell off). They normally have extra screws but the other day I came in they ran out. She was so kind and helpful. She gave me a BRAND NEW PAIR of sunglasses! I was completely surprised and was sure thankful! Thank you Hayley!!! read more
