Very nice place on Liberty street with good vibe. Had a great burger with Irish coffee. Limited seating so be prepared to wait or eat at the bar. Staff is friendly and personable. Recommend! read more

It's fairly rare that we find a spot where we both love our entrees, but the pork chop and kale salad w/chicken were excellent. And then the Nutella w/banana desert was so good we're still talking about it the next day! Nice vibe and service as well....a very safe bet for a quality meal. read more

The food here was delicious not a single person from our 6 person group complained. We ordered chicken burgers, steak, soup, way too many fries and a salad. The cocktails are good but need work, and they actually fix them if ask them too. Overall if your in these neck of the woods this is a great spot to fuel up. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Ms Fairfax, staff was friendly and incredibly helpful, my plate was delicious, I got the steak fritas. The fries seem like double fried as they are super fluffy in the inside and nice sharp crispy texture outside, the burger and tacos were great too. We tried the specialty soup of the day but didn't fall in love. However everyone else was happy and left content, no complaints! read more

Great food, great service, and a good selection of wine and beer. Had dinner at this location two different nights whileing town. Had the fried chicken sandwich the first night on Stake Fritz the second, both were very good. I would recommend a visit if in Newburgh. read more

We stopped at Ms. Fairfax for lunch on a Friday afternoon. There was no wait, we sat on the back patio. It's super cute back there, with plants and string lights. I'd love to see it all lit up at night. We ordered the BLT and a Cuban sandwich. The BLT was superb, the bacon was crispy, the bread was lightly toasted, and the tomato was slightly grilled or roasted. This was unexpected but added so much flavor. The Cuban was on point with tender pulled pork, gooey Swiss cheese, and crunchy sour pickles. My husband ordered a local IPA which was crisp and citrusy. I ordered the bourbon ginger lemonade which was very refreshing. read more

Excellent!! Nice cozy restaurant with a small bar. Comfortable and was pleased to see "masks mandatory"!! My husbands hamburger and soup was to die for....very good grade of meat cooked perfectly! Soup was just right in heat and spices. My grilled cheese with tomato was also very good....never had a grilled cheese on a baguette roll but it worked!!?! read more

Great atmosphere and great food especially for the prices. Service could improve but overall a great experience.

You really must go! We had planned to get dinner here, but schedule shifted and happily arrived just before the end of lunch service (NOTICE: kitchen closed 4pm-5pm for changeover). But it could not have been better. While we were close to the only patrons, this blend between coffee shop/bar/fine restaurant is absolutely a home away from home with a staff that was incredible friendly and welcoming. And to boot, the food was great. We got sandwiches, crepes and side salads. And we left wanting more of everything - who ever wants more side salad?... Definitely want to come back for full dinner service! read more

The food is absolutely mouth watering. We had the steak and frites the pork tacos and the burger. Everything was great but we always come back for the pork tacos. read more

We hosted a ladies brunch on their beautiful back patio and it was perfect! Wonderful service, amazing food, beautiful scenery!

A local recommended this restaurant to us, and I'm so glad she did. We went for brunch on a Sunday, and the food was really something special. They put a nice twist on the usual brunch menu. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that was not the usual. It was on a french baguette, with applewood bacon, sriracha aioli, arugula, and Vermont cheddar. I am drooling just thinking about it. My husband had the breakfast burrito, which was packed with sausage, bacon eggs, herbs, and gruyere....yummy. Everything we saw come out of the kitchen, looked great too. The place is cute, though I wouldn't eat out back, the picnic tables were crawling with ants, they were literally coming out of the space between the wood slats. So we ate inside instead. My only real complaint was that the service was a bit slow and overall lackluster. But that will not stop us from going back when in the area! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g48254-d10695971-r843893870-Ms_Fairfax-Newburgh_New_York.html# read more

I love this place. I love Maggie. I love Philippex2. Aleise. So much to love. Their events, BBQs. Happy birthday Ms. Fairfax! You've had a great year. But, as I told the bartender today, the food I've had in the BBQs and in events don't match up with the brunch or food I've eaten in the restaurant. I can tell it's not the same chef or food prep. I had charred burnt pancakes today. The compote saved the day to mask the charred blackened bottom pancakes. The quiche Lorraine was to die for. I'm assuming it's obviously because it wasn't just made, as it was a slice, and wasn't made by whomever prepared my charcoal pancakes. They were awful. The French Toast I'd had before we're OK. Unmemorable and I didn't even review because they probably were Unmemorable. I don't remember loving or hating them. The tiramisu was also OK, and it's my favorite dessert ever. I didn't like their version. As stated, other food I've had here is AMAZING. To die for. Slap your mama worthy. And then I dine in and I know whoever is back there isn't holding down the fort like Miss Maggie. At all. Not even close. So, what do you do? Maybe I'll stick to special events. Either way I love this place, the drinks, people and ambience are AMAZING. I just wish I knew who was cooking when, and to come only on those days. read more

Good food and atmosphere, server BORING. Would have given 5 star, part of the establishment is the server. Hopefully if any of you go there again you will get a better server. read more

We met a local friend here for brunch ..What a great place . Friendly , helpful and the food was excellent. I had a Lardon Salad and my husband had a sandwich . I also saw a delivery truck there from the Chefs Warehouse , which is a quality purveyor who sells to very high end restaurants..Highly recommend this one . Worth a drive ..great street ..there was a bakery down the street that had a steady stream if customers so also must be good read more

You might think your in a warm Brooklyn cafe or pub dining and enjoying a great micro brew. But it doesn't stop with the hops... The wine menu is wonderful and AFFORDABLE and pairs well with their eclectic food and tapas. You might also enjoy the conversation with the local bar tenders that can recommend other local treats! It's a new staple! read more

A friend from the unit took us here for lunch and no regrets. I had the special of the day which was a sandy with omelette. It was delicious but my friend order the grill cheese sandwich. It was not the typical grill cheese. It looked and smell amazing and now I know what I'm going to get next time. read more

The food was great, decor lovely and what makes up the rest of the stars are the food allergy accommodation. What takes away the stars would be the waitress and host. I understand that it's a small town so some form of hospitality would be expected. Best brunch in the area ? Unfortunately yes, yes it is. read more

Ms Fairfax - Sparking Rose & Procecco - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Newburgh, New York

We found this place on a fluke. We couldn't get into the place we originally wanted but I asked the owner his favorite places and this was his first recommendation. I'm not from here and my friend who lives 30 mins away was a little nervous about the area but it turned out to be the best find ever!! We knew it was gonna be good as soon as we pulled up! The menu had just enough selection and variety. We both got salads which were so good! I got the frisée and bacon and the steak. It was PERFECTLY cooked and the herb butter on top was sooo good. I literally licked the plate. My friend got their version of the Cobb salad maybe called the Fairfax salad. She said it was the best salad she's ever had! And the French onion she loved too. The best part was the prices. Such a great value. We went on an off time so I couldn't really speak to the vibe. But it was set up and decorated very hip. I got wine but specialty drinks sounded good too. Such a good find and I will definitely recommend to all my friends who live here! read more

Went to Ms Fairfax not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Cool little cafe spot . The BBQ nachos were an elevated version with some amazing sauce, not your typical piled-high nachos. Really good. I was a tad underwhelmed by my chicken dinner but would go back for the nachos and try a different entree. Recommend giving Ms Fairfax a shot! read more

Totally amazing brunch. The best bacon lettuce tomato sandwich we've ever had. Really good egg / vegetable scramble and also fantastic diner special. We'll definitely come back if we're in the neighborhood! read more

Really delightful place with interior brick wall and original wood flooring. Our group of four enjoyed brunch here, and every dish was delicious. We tried the trois fromage grilled cheese, breakfast burrito, and goat cheese omelette - all very good flavors. I had the smoked trout salad (generous amount), with mixed greens, pickled red onion, croutons, capers, and a tasty lemon vinaigrette. Such a delight on a hot summer day! I will remember that delicious trout for a long time. Service was timely and the place was clean and inviting. Excellent! read more

All I can say is who puts salt on a salad? Not so much a salad but what looked more like leaves,no tomatoes, cucumbers or onion or carrots.Just salt and very tart vinegar. read more

Was so happy when they started take out after pandemic closures! I love the ambiance & cocktails here, but the food is just as good to-go. The artichoke appetizer was a highlight! read more

let me start by saying I do believe this establishment has the potential to produce and serve decent edible food when you order in for sit down service, unfortunately for me and my guess we placed an order to go. The French toast and pancakes were burned to a crisp and we were told the added vanilla might have created the brown texture, Sorry I know the difference from a brown texture from flavoring and burned. They say you get one time to make a good impression and my first one was extremely disappointing. You might not want to order food to go with this establishment. read more

It frustrates me to have to give less than a stellar review in a city that I spent 18 years living in, so I will chalk this up to the Restaurant/staff having an off type of day. We ordered two double shots of Espresso over ice and asked for cream. On this note, we never received spoons and the cream was given to us in a huge insulated canister (just odd). My boyfriend ordered the BBQ duck sandwich and the first thing I said to him was "where IS the duck?" He then proceeded to pull a sizable piece of duck skin (sans the actual duck) from inside the bread. I will say the bread was outrageously delicious as was the spicy slaw, however the price warranted some hearty portions of meat. I also think the addition of the Gerkins was a little strange. We had two servers, the blonde was bubbly and sweet and the brunette looked as if she really didn't want to be there. It's a local establishment, so we will give it another go and hope we can revise this review. read more

Food is decent. Backyard area is pleasant. Waitress/bartender Sarah is loud and obnoxious. Wouldn't go back because of her. She is rude and hostile. read more

Placed an order on Yelp, pre paid, showed up and they looked at me like I was crazy saying they were closed between 4pm and 5pm so that it's impossible I placed an order. I said I pre paid and the counter person was super rude basically dismissing me without seeming to care at all and continued working without talking to me. Told me to call and get my money back. So now I have to waste my time trying to get my money back for their mistake of putting wrong hours on Yelp and then taking no responsibility. Their attitude towards me is the biggest turn off for me, so I won't be coming here ever again. read more

Had a great outdoor space with heaters! Loved our meal, wonderful service. Definitely would recommend!

Haven't gotten food yet so can't speak to that, but the service is absolutely terrible. Have seen people around our table get up and leave after an hour of not being waited on. The restaurant is either ridiculously understaffed or the staff is not trained well. It took 20m for someone to pour a cup of coffee. We're 45m into waiting for food and nobody has come around to check in on us. At this point, who cares how the food is?!? Another few minutes and we walk out of here. read more

Food was pretty tasty. The service however was extremely poor. On a Sunday morning, with open tables (small place) we were waiting for them to take our order for about 20 min. The floors were dirty. I stepped in whipped cream and when I asked if they could clean it, they swept it up with a broom smearing the whipped cream over the floor and I still couldn't put my feet properly under the table. The server could have had an off day but did not say anything to us other than the bare minimum. No smile no greeting. Just an annoyed look. I had to ask for napkins two times. It was just terrible unimpressed and I really wanted to like this place since it is so close to home. read more

Hidden gem if you don't live in Newburgh. Great breakfast spot..... recommended...

My sister took me here on a cold rainy night. The ambience was warm, friendly and intimate. A cozy bar that served beer and cocktails and a menu that appeased my semi/veggie tastes.
