The only "negative" thing I can think of is the long wait times & this business still not taking reservations after all these years. Staff are friendly. Our waitress was great! The food is always fresh & delicious! The drinks...just say they don't hold back on the liquor....soooo GOOD! The views are amazing from this restaurant & its so exciting when the train comes by.

If you're heading to Hudson Taco--be prepared for a wait, because this place stays busy, and now I fully understand why! The moment we walked in, the vibe was very energetic! Great music pumping, a lively crowd, and that perfect balance of trendy and relaxed that makes you want to stay awhile. Despite the packed house, the service was shockingly quick. Our food came out fresh, hot, and beautifully plated in what felt like minutes. Every bite was bursting with flavor-- exactly what you want from a spot that takes its tacos seriously. We kept ordering "just one more thing," and before we knew it... we were absolutely stuffed. Zero regrets!! The empanadas were so crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside! The sauces and guac that came out were greatly seasoned (and they gave us containers to take them home- with extra chips!!) Hudson Taco is a must-go for anyone craving great flavors, good vibes, and a fun dining experience along the riverfront.

    Pork belly and scallops tacos

Ive been here a couple times and they always have great food and great service, but I saw they were having a special this week on scallops tacos and I had to try them. I wish they had these all the time because they were amazing. The tacos were over flowing with beautiful sautéed scallops. And my all time favorite taco the pork belly is one you have to try. Another go to is the plantains with aoli sauce. They are cooked perfectly and are nice and sweet. I highly recommend coming here. The food is top notch, the bartenders are ontop of everything and are true professionals who can mix anything together and if you do go to the bar ask for Liz, she is super fun and knows her stuff

What a very cool spot along the Hudson! We got there without a reservation and only had a short wait. Our server was super friendly! The tacos are kinda insane. Such unique flavors and combinations. I also love that they were kinda tiny. We were able to really share and try and bunch. I think the empanada is next level. It's a busy spot but the ambiance didn't feel overwhelming. It's a wonderful place for dinner and drinks. A definite place I'd go back to!

I was in the area about to head home and decided to get lunch first. I checked Yelp for some good food spots and this place had excellent reviews. Parking was easy to get but this was on a weekday afternoon. I was warmly greeted as soon as I entered the restaurant. I was surprised how big the establishment with beautiful views of the Hudson River. I requested a seat by the window and enjoyed the scenery in and outside of the restaurant. It was packed inside with the lunch crowd. The young lady who served me was a sweetheart. She made recommendations and explained how to order your tacos on the little pad they had each table. I ordered the chicken, the gringo(beef) and general tso chicken taco. The tacos were small so the server suggested at minimum three. I also ordered the street corn but not on the cob and you had your option to choose how you wanted it. I also had the spicy cucumber salad and a drink. Everything was delicious. The portion sizes were just right and I ate everything and didn't feel stuffed. I really enjoyed this spot and would definitely check it out again when I'm in the area.

This was a nice stop on the way back home. Tacos are really good and drinks were freshly made. Fried fish taco was my favorite! You mark what you would like on the paper menu and can submit as many times as your heart desires. The staff was friendly and she was very helpful the place is interesting, as they redid an old train station. They also have a pizza spot in between the taco place and seating area. Great for the summer or fall, as there are real trains going by, so great for kids too. There is street parking and just a nice view overall since you see the across the river. Definitely recommend at least trying once.

The food was good, bite size food yet satisfying. Faith was our server. She was great, professional and warm. The ambiance is trendy and creative with a view of the river that is so peaceful and beautiful. The music is sooo good that I want that playlist!!! Had me dancing in my chair ready to get up!!!!!!!

This is a cool spot for some seriously tasty tacos. The margaritas were great, and the guacamole was fresh and delicious. The tacos are small, which makes it easy to mix and match and try a bunch of different flavors. One hiccup: our group of six got all our tacos on one tray, and the server wasn't sure which was which--so I'm not entirely sure I ate what I ordered. But hey, whatever it was, it was good! The location is beautiful, with a stunning view of the Hudson River. Just be prepared for the occasional screech of passing trains--it can be a bit jarring.

So good. Great food and view. It was very packed but we were still able to get a booth. The tacos were great, and the price was ok. Had a great time. Will go again.

Hmmm... What can I say about Hudson Taco... For starters, the starter... We enjoyed the Guac, my Wife noted it as maybe the best she's ever had, but didn't love the tostada shells in lieu of actual tortilla chips. Out of 5 stars I'd give the Guac 4 stars. Oh and to back up. Ordering is done on a paper sheet, one per table, the server then picks it up to confirm. Please add up the amount per item on the designated line (ie. Steak Tacos- 4 or IIII.) As other Yelpers have mentioned tacos are tapa sized so order a few, maybe like 5 if you have a large appetite like I do. Choose your tacos essentially between top and bottom shelf or one could say traditional vs fusion. I went with 1 chicken and three asada, while my wife switched it up with Shrimp, fish and Filet Mignon. Unfortunately, we found all the tacos dry and lacking that epic flavor that would set Hudson Taco apart from their competitors. I guess we could have drenched them in one of the three provided bottled taco sauces on the table but we found those lack luster too. To be safe, I ordered their traditional margarita, the Hudson Taco Marg, it had a beautiful salt rim, aesthetically pleasing but the oversized paper straw took away from the experience for me. So instead I sipped it. The Margarita was well balanced and classic, again nothing that made it stand out from other Taco spots. Service was great. Server was knowledgeable and attentive. No reservations here so walk-in and cross your fingers. The two of us were sat almost immediately on a Friday night so no complaints there. Music was extremely loud, gives me post club vibes, just drinks and stuffing your face. My last gripe was the not so clean shared bathrooms. Hudson Taco seems to be in a sort of food hall, sharing the restroom outside the restaurant with a pizza place. One single upstairs and a Women's and Men's restroom downstairs with about 3 tiny stalls each. Very small, very unclean. For me Hudson Taco will only live in my past. For such a beautiful and busy place, I just wasn't impressed. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

Probably the best tacos I have EVER had!!! This place is out of this world!!! My wife have been dying to come try this place out and I'm glad we did First of the tacos are amazing! So tasty ! The perfect size! An amazing PRICE! Just unbelievable! The location is so beautiful!! I love the Bricks dividing the seats, the music is so on POINT, you can't help but to dance while you eat ... The staff are so aesthetically beautiful lol So kind! There's plenty of free parking The only thing that I found odd was the train. You literally see it and it's so loud! Idk how to feel about that lol

For starters, is this a club or a restaurant? Music was so loud, I feel bad for the workers that have to deal with it. Felt like I was yelling at the girl to give her my name for a table. Ordered a drink, something with pineapple? I can't remember the name. Was thinking it would taste like pineapple since there's so many pineapple flavored ingredients that went into it, it didn't taste like pineapple. Was the pineapple in the room with us? Did you whisper 'pineapple' to the drink and hope it did something? We ordered guacamole, onions and cilantro just on top? We couldn't just mix it in? Had chicken tacos, chicken tasted like it was reheated my husband liked his food but I will not be coming back too expensive for sub par food.

    Corn bread with brisket
    Bridgett S.

We had a few different flavors of tacos and they were all WONDERFUL! The service was great! The view of the water added to the ambiance. The best dish we had that night was the corn bread with brisket. It had so many wonderful flavors incorporated in one dish...a bit of sweet...maple syrup...the bbq brisket was tender & the corn bread was buttery too...GREAT DISH!!

I was craving something hearty and healthy so naturally, I went for the pearly bowl which originally comes with couscous, roasted cauliflower, golden raisins (trust me these add THEEEE touch), pickled red onions (YUM), tahini sauce, avocado, and a lemon-mint vinaigrette - THISSSSSS. I ended up substituting the couscous for quinoa which was perfect for the type of meal I wanted before traveling. Can we talk about that lemon-mint vinaigrette? It's perfectly green and brings the whole bowl together, SO GOOD. Wish I would've gotten a whole side of that. Ordering delivery through Yelp is so easy thanks to DoorDash and I was so thankful I didn't have to be stuck eating chips and m&ms - love these but I needed a little something more. Next time you're taking a flight from Newburgh airport be sure to get delivery from Ms Fairfax. Can't wait to try their crepes and green goddess wrap from their breakfast and lunch menu!

She was taking care of the entire restaurant and didn't miss a beat. The food is fantastic. The chicken and waffles is the way I like them, with tenders not bone in (controversial, I know). But I swear, that may have been the best tender I've ever had. The flavor was insane! The brisket hash was rich and warm. Topped off with their in-house made hot sauce, it was a perfect meal. Also, the music was so on point. Just tied together a wonderful experience.

The bistro has a cute exterior offering a few outdoor seats and a minimal but stylish interior and is perfect if you want to stay and chill or get your food to go. This isn't Subway so the sandwiches are priced above $10, but considering the quality and quantity (and maybe because I'm just acclimated to paying ridiculous prices in the City) you definitely get your money's worth. I heartily enjoyed the sliced hanger steak sandwich and found the mix of horseradish mayo, sautéed mushrooms, and arugula on a toasted ciabatta to be perfection. I also tried the fried chicken sandwich which was well seasoned and made all that much better with the sriracha mayo and pickles! I will be back for certain to explore the rest of the sandwich and salad options, especially the capers and oyster mushroom sandwiches and roasted beet and goat cheese salads. They also offer baked goods from Newburgh Flower Shop down the block as well as a variety of coffee and tea drinks. If you get pickup, call the restaurant directly because the prices through Doordash are higher to compensate for the fees the restaurant has to pay. Good to have Toasted on the Liberty Street scene!

Even though it may a cost a little more than a sandwich from a national chain, the food is made with lots of care with fresh ingredients and the portion is enough for two lunches (at least for me). It was a little messy so I was glad I was outside to enjoy it. It's a small space inside (perhaps 5 square table for 2 each) and it's almost kitty corner to my favorite shop, Oliver & Chatfield. The standout of the meal was the special appetizer, the Lobster Escargot. Between the bread service and the rich, bisque-like sauce layered over the classic preparation, I could have happily ended the meal right there. We left no trace behind. I followed with the crab cake and wedge salad. The crab cake was generously sized, very fresh, and exactly what I hoped for. My husband ordered the branzino, which was absolute perfection, beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The sides, however, were less memorable; the smashed potatoes and green beans felt under-seasoned and a bit boring compared to the rest of the meal.
