Here it is sort of another St. Patrick's Day, more for drinking beer than anything else. To each his own. Regardless of what you order from the menu; everything is plated very well, appetizingly, and over 140° F. The interior is modestly decorated, more for dining than partying. The staff is more than happy to enlighten you on the regional foods of Mexico. Which is more than just tacos and burritos, and other street foods. Of course there are entrees that most people are familiar and comfortable with. The kitchen can modify the piquancy of some dishes, to your taste. There is a full bar and a wide selection of premium tequilas. The main dining room is separate from the bar and TV. There are a semi-private tables near the entrance. Food is extremely well seasoned and prepared from appetizers to desserts. Portions are hefty and only fall short on presentation. But you'll forget about that from the first taste. Service is welcoming, friendly, accommodating and very menu knowledgeable. Staff is knowledgeable enough to assist with your dietary needs or taste. The OldSeasons has been renovated, CASA's decor is very modern and airy. Big bar separated from the main restaurant, they also have a nice patio to dine al fresco. Our waitress Denise was super pleasant, explaining some of the dishes and very knowledgeable. The tortilla chips, served with three sauces; the only tasty one being the warm bean dip, were store bought and tasteless!! I had the Tacos de Birria, 3 small Tacos, very tasty with shredded beef in a crispy corn quesadilla, onion, cilantro, lime and Birria broth on the side. I enjoyed them. My husband had the Fajitas de la CASA, steak, chicken, 3 big shrimps, onions, peppers, served with rice, beans and tortillas. Lacking taste all around, kind of under seasoned, very bland, specially the steak A BIG NO NO , is charging for three extra flour tortillas, when we all know there are so cheap! Our friend both had the Fish Tacos and raved about them! Now for the drinks. I had a Michelada , Bloody Mary n beer, well worth missing for $10.00, lacking taste, no Bloody Mary there. My friend enjoyed the Modelo beer and the Strawberry Margarita $12.00. As for desert, they liked the Churros, the kind you can buy frozen, and the Chocolate Tres Leches cake. First time here and ordered the beef tacos. Lacked flavored. The chips with assortment of salsa dips was nice. The margarita was good but pricey. The side of rice and beans was ok. The rice lacked flavor and it had pees and carrots inside. With a name like casa I thought I found a spot full of flavor. Went here for dinner at the recommendation of a friend telling me it was the the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. We are no longer friends. Don't even bother wasting your time, money, or tastebuds. Worst Mexican food in the area currently. Lacks flavor and seasoning. This place will only please people who lack the ability to taste anything. The drinks are the only hope for this place. The hot sauce is also excellent. Plenty of parking space. We finally checked out Casa Mexican Kitchen for dinner and we enjoyed it! The food was authentic, plentiful, beautifully plated and delicious!! Our server was excellent and friendly and everyone who dropped off food and picked up plates was polite and professional. This a family run business and their food, service and decor exemplified that they truly care about providing an enjoyable and tasty meal. I did take out tonight for myself, my husband, and 8year old. My husband got chicken tacos which came with a side of guacamole. The whole thing was brown like it was made from a rotten avacado. He said it was overly salty and couldn't finish it. My son's burger was wayyy undercooked and the fries it came with tasted like microwaved fries and a bit cold. I got enchiladas with mole sauce. It was ok but I emphasized when I ordered to please not include onions. I can't eat onions. Guess what was in the mole sauce and on top, onions?! The food was great! It really reminded me of home and my grandparents. My grandfather is from Sonora and everything was prepared so well! The queso fundido was spot on. This is traditional style Mexican cuisine from northern Mexico which cannot be compared with what I feel most people are complaining about (if you want over seasoned food Taco Bell is open not too far away). The homemade tortillas are probably the best tortillas I have had in the Hudson Valley!! You also cannot go wrong with the churros. The service was INCREDIBLE! I do not think I have had this great of service outside of NYC. Truly phenomenal work and everyone on the wait staff was so kind. They brought out some tortilla chips with three different types of sauces and all three were delicious. I had the steak burrito which was to die for I ordered a side of beans which was also delicious the rice, which was just the yellow rice was so so my husband had enchiladas and his were also delicious. And my wife's burrito? No bueno. She did not like it even though there wasn't anything wrong with it. Is that my wife's fault? No but I'm not going to say that to her. I really wish I could give this restaurant a better review since it's so close to home, but overall, I left disappointed. The highlight of my meal was the margarita, which was excellent. They start the meal with three different salsas, but unfortunately, none of them stood out to me. The portions were oddly uneven--the spiciest one, the habanero, was filled the most, yet we didn't care for it at all. The red salsa, which I usually crave at Mexican restaurants, lacked that fresh, bright flavor I was hoping for. All of the salsas tasted cooked rather than fresh. My husband had a beef burrito, which he seemed to enjoy well enough. I ordered the steak fajitas, which come with sour cream, rice, and beans. I really missed the addition of fresh pico de gallo and guacamole (though I did order guacamole on the side, which was tasty but too salty). The fajitas were served with peppers, onions, and mushrooms, but they arrived without the expected sizzle and the steak tasted more stewed than grilled. On top of that, everything was overwhelmingly salty. I do believe they make their own tortillas and tortilla chips, which I appreciate, but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the flavor or texture of those either. The service was fine. The ambiance is nothing special. Overall, while there were a few positives, the food didn't meet my expectations, and I'm not sure I'd return. read more

Had a terrific dinner at Casa Mexican Kitchen in Brinckerhoff/Fishkill. My husband and I decided that it's the best Mexican restaurant we've been to in the area. Everything we had, from the guacamole on up, was top-notch (down to and including the napkins). Every dish had the freshest ingredients and was lovingly presented. Even their tap water was good, which is a plus in our book. We met the owners. They're a young couple whose family has been in the restaurant business for decades. They truly love what they do and are very proud of the space and the food they prepare. If you're in the mood for some kickin' authentic Mexican, this is the place. Our first time there, I got the baja fish tacos. I was disappointed as they lacked not only spice, but flavor as well. They were edible, but very bland. The wine pour was "BOUJEE". Very little wine for the price. (The price for a bottle was worse!) The restaurant was immaculate and the staff and bartender were very nice. The service was also good. On our second visit, I got the enchiladas. I chose the "red salsa". When it came out, the enchiladas were swimming in more of a red sauce (not salsa). Although it was too much sauce for me, the dish was flavorful and the portion was generous. I haven't ruled out going there again to try other menu options (tie breaker). read more

Not an extensive menu, but I hope they add some combo offerings. You can't get any variety of tacos, because they all have to be the same protein. Yet the Fajitas come in 3 proteins? Sad that a fish taco ($19.00) is only made with burned breaded chopped up fish with zero taste. They call it Baja style fish. I call them tasteless chopped up dough balls. (I thought I ordered Shrimp Tacos?) Anyway, even the flour tortilla wasn't tasty on my tacos Sangria was sub par as well (1 slice of apple only) and REALLY tasteless. The good news is my friend's deep fried Red Snapper was tasty ($33.00). Oh and the Guacamole ($16.00) wasn't anything to write home about either (hate to say tasteless, but it was). We had to stir it in order to get the flavors to blend. Overpowered with onion too. The only redeeming factor was the 3 small dipping sauces for the tortilla chips. The Habanero was our fav. My second time here but this time it was for dinner. Got seated and then 2 other tables were seated and we waited as the two tables that came AFTER us were waited on right away. The food is good but when it gets busy - you are basically forgotten. I had to get up and give the bartender my check because we got tired of waiting for the waitress/owner to come over and take it because it was a cash payment.
