The beautiful view of the Hudson in December.
    Val C.

Ate her today and the food is very fresh and delicious. Staff is nice. Drinks were okay. Wasn't thrilled that my white sangria was orange. It was more like a mimosa. The beef taco appetizer was delicious and so was the fried fish taco. So, so, so good. The whole branzino with fresh salad was delicious and prepared to taste. The restaurant is on the Hudson. A definite ambiance for dining. I just love eating by the water. Will definitely come again.

Came in for Happy Hour and it was great. We ordered a lot of carnitas tacos, that was the hit of the table, the carnitas were tender and delicious. The charcoal chicken tacos were also good, a sweetness to them with the pineapple added. The chips and guacamole was great, fresh guacamole never misses. I had three margaritas: Blood Orange, Passion Fruit and Pina en Fuego was my favorite. Customer service was prompt. Tori and Ariel were polite and friendly coming and going making sure if we needed anything. Mike and Keith were quick in anything we ordered whether it was food or drinks. The place was packed but the vibe was easy going with a well balanced playlist to set the mood. Overall it was a bit chaotic for our table, I couldn't het pictures of everything we got but I enjoyed the food and the experience. I'll definitely come back for summer time.

Not a bad spot here! Competing with the rival Hudson Taco Bar, we came here because their wait time was was shorter than the other spot. I was pleased to receive good service, fair prices, and a nice view right on the Hudson! Their guacamole and chips were delicious, along with their Mexican street corn (which you can have on or off the cob). Among the trio of tacos I got (chorizo, crispy fish, and tuna tataki), I have ti day ghe chorizo and tuna tataki really stood out to me. Overall a great experience for us! I just wish portions were a tad larger.

This was my first time in Newburgh, and I came up specifically to try this spot. It's super cute and trendy, with a great vibe. They don't take reservations, and when we arrived, the quoted wait time was 45 minutes--but luckily, we were seated in just 20. Our waitress was a doll, she checked in on us frequently and gave great recommendations. At first, the taco portions looked small, and we were a bit skeptical, but the food turned out to be just the right amount. I had the crispy fish and the birria tacos--both were excellent! Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly done. Definitely worth the trip. Bonus: they have happy hour every day, which is always a plus!

$1 tacos in this economy? Yes please! They're tiny but so worth it! My favorite are the chicken and veggie tacos. We also tried the churros and they reminded me of churros I had in Mexico City. That should say it all. This place is delicious!

I drove here from Queens for my friend's birthday (almost two hours) since they have a pretty good happy hour deal. $1 tacos and $7 margaritas. The place inside was aesthetically very beautiful with a gorgeous outdoor view of the Hudson River. It was a pretty large party (9 people) and we all ordered food and drinks. Some of us ordered off the happy hour and some ordered items off the regular menu. I ordered a duck taco, chicken al pastor taco and a carnitas taco. Honestly, the duck taco was underwhelming and lacked flavor. The chicken al pastor was very tasty as well as the carnitas. The tacos, keep in mind, are very tiny. You need around 4-5 to get you somewhat full. The only $1 tacos are the chicken al pastor, carnitas and veggie. I ordered their watermelon margarita off the happy hour and was disappointed. It was very watered down. I tried their blood orange margarita and it was much better but nothing impressive. Our waitress did let us know that they were understaffed and I felt really bad since I saw her serving tables and bartending. Although she was overwhelmed, what I didn't like was that no one passed by to check on our table even though we wanted more drinks and food. She would stop by every 45 minutes to an hour. I saw the manager pass by several tables but never ours. I did ask to speak to the manager and explained the situation how we did not have the best experience. He did provide us with a gift card for the trouble which I thought was a nice gesture. I'm not sure if I would come back since it is very far from me but if I'm ever in the area, I would give it another chance to see if it was just an off day.

Beso Bowl with chicken and veggies. Popular dish and delicious!

Came here for a birthday gathering. First time for me. It was really nice place, nice atmosphere and right on the water. View was beautiful. Food was great and service was good. Drinks were tasty too only thing I didn't like was the fact there were only 2 bathrooms, so fora place that gets busy, that kinda sucks. So prepare to wait in line. Other than that, I would definitely come back.

4/25/25-great place . Inside and outside seating . Right on the Hudson River. We ordered the wood grilled Caesar . Split. The 2 of us had a couple of taco's, . The View you can't beat. Beautiful.

What I love: - waterfront views and lovely ambience - delicious tacos - absolutely delectable margs - friendly service What I recommend: - all the tacos, but especially the Al Pastor, Birria, duck, and tuna tacos are MUST-tries - queso fundido - tres leches cake - churros - the Beso margarita The views combined with the delicious food has earned Beso a spot on our favorites list, and we've been back multiple times. Love Beso!

Wow ! What a spot. My girlfriend and I stopped by for lunch and a drink, the weather was a bit windy but it was still nice to be able to sit and see the water. Not many people on a Saturday afternoon but I'm sure once there is better weather that will change. The decor and vibes of this place were so nice. The food was okay. Nothing special. I enjoyed the dessertthe most, the churros .. omg the best! I will be back for more this summer!

Water front is amazing- fish tacos are official! Had to order 2 more Stay to the strip because a mile away the area can get shady. The restaurant location along with the others is not bad at all and especially if you like the water ambient. Victoria was great as well and always attended us. Pińa colada and Margarita was great also. I would come back. Btw the chicken tacos amazing also but the fish? Uffggg

We enjoy coming here for the atmosphere and the Happy Hour! You can't beat $1 tacos and 1/2 margs! The tacos are pretty darn good....bartenders are really great and attentive. The hot dog is great. Love the Queso fundido also! The mariposa marg has chambord...yum. And the pina fuego is pineapple jalapeno infused tequila. Also yum, spicy! Def worth the try!

This place is definitely decorated in such a vibey way. It's right on the water and it seems that you can open the windows fully for one of those indoor out door experiences. The actual restaurant isn't that big. There is a nice bar in the middle and the service was great. Our waitress was very nice and patient. We got a few appetizers for our table including the guacamole and the shrimp ceviche. I liked both of them! For the drink I got the night in tulum. It wasn't my favorite. It was a gin based drink with blue curaçao but it had this interesting slushy consistency. I would never of thought my drink would look the way they did based on the description on the menu. I wish I would have ordered a different drink, it wasn't my favorites This isn't to say all the drinks are bad I tried my friends and some of them were fantastic and others were just okay. They all looked very pretty though. As for the tacos they range from about $3-$6. They are tiny but they were all delicious. I got the duck, carne asada, and the ahi tuna taco. Let me tell you that ahi tuna taco is something I still dream about! It was 10/10 amazing, like hands down one of the best tacos Ive ever had. I also had the besos fries which were curly fries with like this chipotle mayo sauce on it and a pico. They were delicious but I wish it had more sauce on it. All in all it was a good experience. I didn't like how all the tacos came out mixed together. We were a table of about 10 people so with everything coming out mixed together it did get confusing trying to figure out who had what taco. I definitely see my self coming back to this place. It's pretty and the food was pretty good! I don't know if they have a happy hour but if they did this place would be fantastic.

For comparison...that white dish was the size of a cell phone.

On a trip to Colorado, Kihlmire visited a shop that featured an abundance of books and records. He came up with an idea to open a similar shop that would also feature craft beer. Kihlmire initially opened The Vinyl Room by himself in Wappingers Falls. In addition to beer, records, and video games, customers could also enjoy pizza by ordering it through a special window that connected to the Wagon Wheel next door. Although the concept was well-received, the small space and constraints from the landlord limited the full potential of the business. In July 2021, it moved to a new space at 344 Main Street in Beacon. Customers could order food from Roma Nova across the street. Unfortunately, the space was still too small and the owners received numerous noise complaints from apartment tenants upstairs. In August 2023, The Vinyl Room moved down the street to 393 Main Street to their third (and hopefully forever) location. For the latest version of the business, childhood friend Kane Licari came on board as a partner. This also marks the first time that The Vinyl Room features a kitchen with their own food. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, rice bowls, tacos, wings, and various bar bites. In addition to craft beer, the bar also serves wine, craft cocktails, and mocktails. I recently visited The Vinyl Room for lunch with my two sons while we were visiting Beacon. Any place that features craft beer, records, and classic arcade cabinets sounds like Heaven to someone like me. I really liked the whole vibe of the interior with the industrial design and all of the pop culture and music references. My sons and I grabbed a booth and looked over the menu. For food, I had the "Crunchy Chicken Bowl" (sushi rice, pickled onions, avocado, arugula, charred corn, chili garlic crunch, creamy garlic sauce), my older son had the "Grilled Cheese" (Vermont white cheddar, havarti, slow roasted onions, roasted garlic butter, sourdough), and my younger son had the "Return of The Mac" (smoked gouda Vermont cheddar cream, buttery breadcrumbs). We were all very happy with our choices! To drink, I had a draught pour of Upward Brewing's "Summer Camp" (Helles Lager). After finishing our delicious meal, I scrolled through the impressive record collection. Then we all headed downstairs to have a blast in the arcade. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Equilibrium Brewery's "Tidal Balance" (Double IPA; collab w/ Sand City Brewing). We all had such a fun experience at The Vinyl Room and we hope to return in the future!

We went around 5pm, and saw the sign "Seat Yourself & Order At The Bar". Ok... So I asked a bartender for 2 menus, and found a booth. We decided quickly, and I made my way to the bar. Others were ahead of me, so I patiently waited to order: Tripple Smash Burger, Honey Buffalo Salad, Purple Rain (2), Diet Coke. I paid at the bar, served the drinks and waited for our food. The music was 80's MTV Themed {Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Bruuuce, Billy Idol}. Jenga, Horrible Couple and Cards Against Humanity were on the tables to pass the time. Or flip through the many records available for purchase until the food arrives. The salad was large in size and very good. Been a while since I had a burger, and this filled the void. Fries were not that hot, but we ate them anyway. Afterwards, we went downstairs and played some old school arcade games and then headed out. Upon leaving we saw someone was having a birthday party, which was nice to see. I'm sure in the summer this place gets packed. They also have a selection of draught beer (The proper way to spell it). Good choice for food, although it wasn't cheap. Bill w/tip was $100. I think having a server on staff for all hours would be a good decision for TVR to make, in order to TCB !

We went for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how attentive the service was. The setting alone is quiet, scenic, and relaxing, adding to the experience feeling special. We're particular about cocktails, and the specialty drinks leaned a bit sweet and light for our taste, but switching to a Grey Goose martini solved that quickly. The standout of the meal was the special appetizer, the Lobster Escargot. Between the bread service and the rich, bisque-like sauce layered over the classic preparation, I could have happily ended the meal right there. We left no trace behind. I followed with the crab cake and wedge salad. The crab cake was generously sized, very fresh, and exactly what I hoped for. My husband ordered the branzino, which was absolute perfection, beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The sides, however, were less memorable; the smashed potatoes and green beans felt under-seasoned and a bit boring compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, it was a lovely anniversary lunch with memorable dishes and a beautiful view.

The main theme seems to be fresh fish, seafood, and it seems fresh everything else. (Confirmed that they get fresh shipments daily). With reservations for 9 at 6:30 on a Monday, where many places are closed, we walked into a fully booked restaurant. Our giant table stood out amongst all the other full tables that were in various stages of dining. So, we took up a decent amount of the restaurant space. A reunion with family and so were happy to talk and have some bread, and drinks while they were wrapping up their other patrons also enjoying themselves. The main purpose seemed to be to time taking our orders in a way that they would come out properly. As the food came out, it was one wonderful dish after another. I could name and describe eschar one, but fresh and flavorful is the best way. I can imagine that at the time when we arrived that the kitchen was hopping. The chefs seemed to focus very well on each individual order, so of course it took some, but not excessive time. As it took a little while to start we also were not rushed out. Perhaps if we had gotten there at 5 then I suppose we might have been moved along some, since restaurants need to get some turnover at the peak hours, we were happy to offer some well rewarded patience, which was reciprocated with polite, warm, service and great food. This is a regular place for locals who know what they like. It is well worth putting some effort in to explore the various foods and drinks offered, as they were all exceptional. So, I must give it 5 stars. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is unique and actually stunning, especially during daylight where you are overlooking the Hudson and into the mountains across the river. Thus, it is a great landmark establishment of the Newburgh area.
