    Wine tasting!
    Sabrina P.

My boyfriend and I came here during Memorial Day weekend and it was such a pleasant experience! We sat at the bar and each did a wine tasting. The pours were generous and the bartender was informative. I didn't realize the owner was also behind the bar, but he runs a great business. I would love to come back and try more of their wine selection and their regular food menu. What a great spot in Beacon!

Authentic, love the concept. Represent breweries, wineries and distilleries from New York State. Stopped in, post dinner in beacon to check out the new storefront. The staff was genuine and honest. Refreshing to spend time at a place with a clear passion for detail. Highly recommend and wish all the best for a future of success!

Their intention is to keep it all local to New York because let's face it, New York State really does have it all from farms to wineries, doesn't it?

9/14/25: Love coming to Fjord Vineyards!…read more We came for their Oyster Party Weekend. Marilyn greeted us when we checked in. She escorted us over to a table with a marvelous view of the vineyards. Maria was our wonderful and charming server. She came over with a complementary glass of their wonderful rosé wine. I'm not a rosé drinker, but it was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful flight of wines. Our favorite was their '23 Double Fall Line $32. It has a marvelous smooth blend of Cab Franc, Merlot and Blaufränkisch (Austrian Blue) Grapes. Two bottles came home later. : ) Of course, we had to indulge in some wonderful lobster rolls. Each lobster roll was $23, plus for an extra $9 you get a nice dollop of caviar to top it off ! The lobster was from a company called Oyster Party in the NY area. I think the lobster rolls were some of the best I ever had. Just a couple of notes: - It appears the hill leading up to the vineyard was recently paved. Previously, it was extremely uneven. - Be sure to make reservations online. - Parking is available within steps of entering the vineyard. Can't wait to return! : D

We had a table full of wine to taste and the service was awesome. Pretty busy given the weather but since we had reservations, we had a table ready. This place was buzzing! Very festive atmosphere. Got our wines poured and a couple of bonus pours. Our table looked like a chandelier when they were done. All the wines were pretty tasty, even the whites which I am usually not a fan of.

Finding out that Brotherhood Winery bills their self as 'the oldest winery in the country' , I was pretty stoked for this tour. Unfortunately, what they should really say is "we are the oldest continuously operating winery (except for a couple times we stopped briefly) in the country (but not actually owned by people in this country)"... Our guide was full of interesting knowledge and fun trivia which she imparted over the course of our hour-long tour through the original wine cellars and museum, before taking us upstairs to the tasting room. Sadly the tasting was less of a guided exploration of their wines, and more of a choose your own adventure. 12 wines were grouped into 4 lots of 3, and choose which one you want to try. - All well and good, except the groupings were all haphazardly mixed and I felt like we were playing "one of these things is not like the others".

Awesome winery with delicious wine!…read more When you walk into the back area with the gorgeous views it feels like you're somewhere in Europe. It doesn't feel like New York and it is the most beautiful place to celebrate, come out with your girls or spend a sunny day in the outdoors. We came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was super quiet and peaceful with not a lot of people, the perfect place to come to while family was out of town. Fun fact: 8 different wines are grown, harvested, fermented and bottled in their winery. They also have different flavored sangrias! Loved ordering the mix and match flight where we got to taste the sangrias and wines. My ooooonlyyyyyyy thing would be I wish the pours were a bit fuller since they're more of a sample size (or at least it felt like it). Can't wait to be back and enjoy more of their menu and gorgeous views!

We were able to find a couple of picnic tables and spend a few hours enjoy the beautiful weather and sunset. At some point, live music started up, and while they asked for $15 to sit close to where the music was being performed, you could hear it just fine from further out. We didn't make it to the wine tasting or tour, but we did get a small taste of a few different options from the window outside before ordering a bottle to share. They do flights upstairs, but pets aren't welcome upstairs (we had our small dog). We were, however, informed that pets are very welcome on the tour. If we weren't with a large group, we would have taken the tour...they depart frequently throughout the day. There were three food truck options available when we visited, and the 2 we tried were delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

Aquila's gives a 30-minute grace period, which helped since the area gets very dark at night and the roads are narrow. I knew ahead of time there would be a lobster food truck and a live salsa band. When you arrive, you check in with the hostess, though there's no clear hostess stand since she's stationed at the end of the bar. The inside was crowded with no available seats, but we weren't there for the band anyway. Our igloo had a heater, but two would've been ideal. They recommend bringing a blanket, which I forgot, but it wasn't too cold--around the high 40s. We tried the "Sweet Wine Flight," which included Sparkling Rosé, Moscato, and white and red wine slushies. The white wine slushy was my favorite. It started raining while we were there, and everyone with fire pits cleared out, so I was extra glad we chose an igloo. They offered a cheese box, but it looked too small, so we stuck to drinks. Our server was polite and brought everything out quickly. Reservations give you two hours, and we had a great time. I like the variety of reservation options they offer. For suggestions: it would be nice to have a real charcuterie board instead of tiny cheese and veggie boxes. The indoor space could also be larger, especially for people coming for the live band, and there are no seats around the bar. Overall, though, it's a cozy spot, and I enjoyed the experience.
