9/14/25: Love coming to Fjord Vineyards! We came for their Oyster Party Weekend. Marilyn greeted us when we checked in. She escorted us over to a table with a marvelous view of the vineyards. Maria was our wonderful and charming server. She came over with a complementary glass of their wonderful rosé wine. I'm not a rosé drinker, but it was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful flight of wines. Our favorite was their '23 Double Fall Line $32. It has a marvelous smooth blend of Cab Franc, Merlot and Blaufränkisch (Austrian Blue) Grapes. Two bottles came home later. : ) Of course, we had to indulge in some wonderful lobster rolls. Each lobster roll was $23, plus for an extra $9 you get a nice dollop of caviar to top it off ! The lobster was from a company called Oyster Party in the NY area. I think the lobster rolls were some of the best I ever had. Just a couple of notes: - It appears the hill leading up to the vineyard was recently paved. Previously, it was extremely uneven. - Be sure to make reservations online. - Parking is available within steps of entering the vineyard. Can't wait to return! : D read more

3rd stop. Very interesting drive up. Such an amazing spot. We have got to come back here in the spring or summer. John and Andrea took such good care of us. We had a table full of wine to taste and the service was awesome. Pretty busy given the weather but since we had reservations, we had a table ready. This place was buzzing! Very festive atmosphere. Got our wines poured and a couple of bonus pours. Our table looked like a chandelier when they were done. All the wines were pretty tasty, even the whites which I am usually not a fan of. read more

What a beautiful spot to take in the beautiful fall weather with a wine flight. We came by for a birthday and they reserved the fire pit. The wine is delicious and the spot by the fire pit is amazing. Since they don't serve food, you can bring your own which is great. This winery it's very pretty but on the small side. The views of the vineyards are stunning and it was great to get a table right in front. However I felt a little like I was in someone's backyard. What a beautiful vineyard! The tasting room is on the smaller side but so cozy! We wanted to sit outside but it started raining and thankfully there was a table available inside. They accept walk ins but recommend making a reservation cause this place is busy. The service here is outstanding and top notch; they were all so friendly. Since we had to wait for a table, the wine steward gave us a glass of Albariño on the house, which was delicious. I had the wine flight and shared a cheese board with a couple of friends. The Double Fine Line was my favorite and had an oaky taste to it. The pour here is also very generous. Highly recommend stopping by! read more

This was a beautiful place to enjoy some very good wine. It was a nice day so we sat outside. The service was excellent. We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. The owner stopped by several times, and even offered to take pictures of us in one of the scenic areas, as well invited us to walk through the vineyard to see the vines and the grapes just starting to develop. read more

One of our favorite wineries in the Hudson Valley. Their wines are great, personally I come back for the unoaked cab franc and their rosé which has a little bubble to it. The views are amazing. For your first time, id recommend a reservation to sit in the main area, but if you don't have one it's not a big deal. They take walk-ins and have picnic tables and chairs in the back. The fall is the best time to go when the leaves are changing color, the winery is just beautiful and vibrant. They do allow leashed, friendly dogs. They have a really great selection of cheeses, meats and crackers for you to make your own board, all very reasonably priced and locally sourced. And I appreciate that you can pick and choose what you want á la carte. We had the McGrath extra sharp cheddar and the goat cheese which are now personal favorites. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there is only one restroom and there can be a bit of a line at times, it just depends. They have a cute fire pit area as well with blankets you can sit by and cozy up. Sometimes they also have oysters and lobster rolls which are very good. It's the perfect way to end a day. read more

Delicious, vibrant wines and breathtaking, sweeping views make this place feel so heavenly. Mentally I am always here. I recently learned that the micro climate in the Hudson Valley has optimal conditions for good wine grapes, and my recent visit proved this to be true. Fjord Vineyards was the last stop on a little winery tour my partner set up for the two of us last season, and as it turned out we saved the best for last. It had a very modern flair but also felt cultivated by folks who are well attuned to good wineries. So much about visiting a vineyard is about the views and sprawling green lawns as it is about the wine itself, and Fjord nails it at every step. It makes sense when you learn that they are part of the Benmarl family that owns the oldest winery in the area and in the country. We were some of the only visitors on a quiet weekday afternoon and so we essentially had the place to ourselves. We would've loved spending our whole time here luxuriating on their plush outdoor seating, but the rain brought us inside. While the inside wasn't really build for customers to spend time in-- boxes and piles of paper were stacked all over the place-- we didn't mind at all with the friendly company of our sommelier. She was so chipper while guiding us through our wine tasting with accompanying cheese, wine, hummus, cracker, and jam accoutrements that the wine wasn't a thought in our minds. The wine (and the cheese) were the highest quality of everything we had on this tour of wineries we went on. I continue to wax poetic about it to anyone who will listen. read more

Beautiful vineyard tucked away in the hills of Milton! I've been 3 times already and every time has been amazing. The wines are great - a nice selection including whites, sparkling, rose and reds. Their dry Riesling and Albariño are my favorite. I don't typically like sweet rieslings but this one is perfect - not too sweet and so enjoyable! They have lots of options for food like cheese, meats, bread, crackers, olives, honey, hummus, etc and have regular food pop ups The best part of all is how kind and friendly their staff is. I've been to almost every winery in the Hudson Valley, and Fjord is one of my absolute favorites! The owners, Casey and Matt, are so welcoming and knowledgeable, and they are so passionate about what they create, that it only enhances the wines which are already amazing. My personal favorites are their Cabernet Franc, Albariño, and Late Harvest, but honestly, they're all delicious! I also love their selection of local cheeses and their seasonal mulled wine. The grounds are lovely, and they're perfect for cozying up and escaping the rest of the world for a little bit. Fjord is truly a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it. read more

Located up a gravel driveway you will find Fjord Vineyards. As soon as we entered we were greeted by staff and were able to choose a table outside to sit. We did not have a reservation although I would recommend having one if you go so you can do a tasting. The group I was with ordered several glasses of wine. Additionally we ordered several things to eat including cheese, olives, hummus and chocolate which were all located sourced. The wine was delicious and the views were truly gorgeous. I absolutely love this vineyard in so many ways. Key thing to understand: - This is the ultimate boutique winery feel. If you are looking for a finger lakes/Napa scale winery, this isn't it. IMO this is better with the bespoke winery experience of a local gem Why I love this place: - The quaint experience. Fjord is a great spot to spend an afternoon enjoying wine / delicious snacks (or head there on day they are having a food truck or pop-up!) outdoors with family or friends. We met the owner who is incredibly kind and knowledgeable about growing grapes locally (as well as how the art of wine production works in other areas of NYS!). This place is amazing. We stopped by this vineyard in April on a rainy day. The apple orchard is filled with blossoms and the scenery is beautiful. John is a very welcoming, professional, and a knowledgable owner who recommended me three wines that all fit into my preference. Food and wine are all very well priced and the atmosphere is very welcoming and intimate. Our puppy was greeted too by the owner and other customers! I felt compelled to leave a review because I have never in my life experienced such kindness from a stranger. Not only was the wine and atmosphere amazing (as stated in many other reviews) but I accidentally left my wallet at this location only to have Nell hand deliver it back to me in Brooklyn. This woman is a literal angel and it is so rare to find people who just genuinely care and want the best for others. I will forever support this vineyard because of her.
