I can't believe I had never been to this winery in all the years I have visited this area. I came for the Wine 5K Run and from the minute we entered the premises I was in love with the grounds. This winery is stunning and it reminded me a lot of the wineries in Tuscany, maybe it was the hills and big trees. After the 5K we hung around and got to explore the winery. We didn't get to the a wine tasting since they weren't offering this due to the event. I did get two try two different wines and I enjoyed them. I will definitely be coming back.

This was fun serious for 30 mins $18 with a souvenir wine glass and 6 tastings and wearing of wine was fun. The knowledge and learning the wines from the local vineyards was amazing. They have an amazing walking trail and also you can see the actually grapes. They had a food truck which was Maine lobster who was outside so they had food. The beat part I thought was genius was the outdoor picnic that your family can come and eat it you purchase the wine from the vineyard. Loved!!! I will be back for sure for the reserve wine tasting ...

Really enjoyed our time here. Family friendly. Lots of space to picnic and enjoy their wines. Food available but you are able to bring your own. Wonderful scenery, whether you want to be by the vines or by the water. Will be back!

My wife and I drove 2 hours from Massachusetts to Visit Millbrook The grounds are nice . The wine is OK but the experience really sucks. It's too commercialized. It's like go to your wine tasting as a group. Nothing is personal. Nothing is intimate other wineries nearby are beautiful. Better experiences elsewhere. We purchased a wine tasting. For one it's over priced. They tell you to go outside to a tent. Where your seated on plastic chairs around a U shaped table of 20 people or so give or take. With an identical table near us so as your wine tasting is going on. There's another group going as well and you can hardly hear your wine person. Trying to tell you about the wine with the amount of noise inside the tent so there's nothing really personal. It's just like here's your wine. This is what it is blah blah blah enjoy yourself and they go so quick you don't have enough time toeven enjoy the wine. Let alone the amount you actually get is not even worth it. You can't even taste the wine. Here's your half a shot glass of wine. I recommend you skip this winery. I would recommend you check out other wineries nearby. Such as Milea Estate Vineyards

Beautiful vineyard and huge. Here for Food Truck Friday. We thought there would be more trucks than 1, but that was it. There was a cart selling crepes, but it's not a truck. The one truck there had a couple of decent options but the line was easily 30-40 wait. I can see if you're a local it would be a nice way to spend the night.

We did a wine tasting then bought a bottle and took in the breathtaking views. It was a wonderful experience and way to spend the afternoon.

My in-laws and I enjoyed a tasting with Ron. He was both funny and very informative. He was excited to answer lots of questions. After, we enjoyed food from the BBQ Crew food truck. We ate the food overlooking the vineyard and family playing cornhole.

Millbrook Vineyards & Winery is a craft winery that opened in Millbrook, New York in 1985. It was founded by husband and wife John and Kathe Dyson. While a student at Cornell's College of Agriculture, John bought a bottle of wine to impress a date at a party. This started a lifelong interest in wine. He later met Kathe while they were both working in Washington DC. In 1982, they both decided to purchase the 130-acre Wing Dairy Farm in John's hometown of Millbrook. The plan was to turn the property into a vineyard; the gravelly soil proved excellent for viticulture. The first vine plantings occurred a year later. John Graziano was hired as the winemaker in 1984 and the winery's first commercial vintage was produced the following year. The winery officially opened for tours and tastings in 1988 and today produces between 10-15,000 cases of wine annually. The Dysons later purchased two additional wineries in California and a third in Italy. My wife and I visited Millbrook Vineyards this past weekend while we were celebrating our sixth anniversary in the Hudson Valley. We were staying at Wing's Castle, which sits on a hill overlooking the vineyards. We couldn't check in until 2PM, so we headed to the winery first for some lunch, a tour and tastings. We ordered a couple of wood-fired pizzas from a food truck outside and enjoyed them in the taproom paired with delicious glasses of Pinot Noir and Rosé. We then went on a guided tour of the facility where we saw the production area and learned about the fermentation process. Our visit ended with tastings of Grüner Veltliner, Tocai Friulano, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Hunt Country Red. The latter (with notes of berries, smoke and spice) was easily our favorite! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Millbrook Vineyards and would definitely come back!

Gorgeous winery. The property is big and beautiful. Staff is very nice. They have brick oven pizza that was so good. The wine was pretty good and the flights were a great price. Would def come back here

Millbrook Vineyards is one of my favorite in the Hudson Valley...great wine and views. It's a staple in the region and less than 2 hours from the city. I highly suggest their wine tastings to get a feel for their selection and pinpoint a bottle to purchase. My most recent tasting was with Ronny and he was an excellent guide. Highly recommend their Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Johnny Rock. What can I say? I love them all.

Such a gorgeous vineyard, and plenty of space for social distancing too! The grounds are large, so even though it was crowded there was plenty of room to park and spread out. There is a large field with a stage for the band. You can either set up shop in the grass (they even have sectioned off areas for people to distance) or snag a picnic table. Just note you'll need to get there pretty early if you want a table. There is also an entirely different outdoor area where you can sit out and enjoy wine if you don't care to be near the music. There are food trucks outside and you can bring your own food which is a nice option. There is a large indoor area with a tasting room and a shop for buying wine, beer, snacks, merch, etc. Again, even though it's crowded the indoor area is so large that space does not feel limited. Most importantly, wine is delicious and there are lots of varieties to enjoy! Prices are fair and there are several different price points. There are many wineries in the area, but I'm glad we choose Millbrook and I'd definitely return.

OMG what a cute vineyard! We went on a beautiful 'picturesque; September Saturday and I'm so glad my gf suggested this place, because I was so enamored with it! They have tons of picnic tables setup in the front of the vineyard - and they let you bring your own food, which is nice. They also had a BBQ food truck. The vineyard is huge and surrounded by this beautiful body of water, so people set up picnic blankets with food & wine along the water and up on the hill where the vineyards were. The actually tasting room is quite large and filled with lots of bottles available for purchase & an indoor bar (although not sure they are open with COVID). Anyway, we went inside and grabbed a glass of wine before our 5pm tasting began in the large tents outside. Luckily for us the 5pm tasting was pretty quiet, so we had the table to ourselves. The woman walked around and poured all 6 tastings for us, and took the time to describe all of the wines. Very professional & knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back here! I recommend the white wines!

Why is the bathroom like this.

It's a very nice winery to visit. Only issue is the men's bathroom has a privacy-shaming-stall design. I have always been a stall man, please fix your bathroom.

Our day started with a Chinese tea ceremony in the barn and then a catered lunch. About 6:30pm, the ceremony with a live music started followed by passed hors d'oeuvre, fresh oysters, and wood fired pizza. The wood fired pizza was very delicious and I enjoyed the blackened shrimp and the arancini. I tried the cider and the rosé, but they were too dry for my taste. Then at 7:45pm, we went into the reception pavilion. The menu consisted of a salad as first course, a duet plate of salmon and beef short rib for entree, and dessert. The summer citrus salmon with the multi grain pilaf was very good. After first dance, father and daughter dance, mother and son dance, and speeches, the DJ told us to step outside. After a few minutes, the sky exploded with light. It was a beautiful fireworks display from the hillside. The bathrooms were stocked with essentials in the toiletry baskets. Red Maple Vineyard offers a rustic barn and reception pavilion, massive green grounds, and a beautiful garden.

9/14/25: Love coming to Fjord Vineyards!…read more We came for their Oyster Party Weekend. Marilyn greeted us when we checked in. She escorted us over to a table with a marvelous view of the vineyards. Maria was our wonderful and charming server. She came over with a complementary glass of their wonderful rosé wine. I'm not a rosé drinker, but it was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful flight of wines. Our favorite was their '23 Double Fall Line $32. It has a marvelous smooth blend of Cab Franc, Merlot and Blaufränkisch (Austrian Blue) Grapes. Two bottles came home later. : ) Of course, we had to indulge in some wonderful lobster rolls. Each lobster roll was $23, plus for an extra $9 you get a nice dollop of caviar to top it off ! The lobster was from a company called Oyster Party in the NY area. I think the lobster rolls were some of the best I ever had. Just a couple of notes: - It appears the hill leading up to the vineyard was recently paved. Previously, it was extremely uneven. - Be sure to make reservations online. - Parking is available within steps of entering the vineyard. Can't wait to return! : D
