High Top Table in the tasting room

Found this place on a Saturday afternoon motorcycle ride. What a hidden gem! From the employees to the bourbon to the decor and the vibe ... I will definitely be back! Very reasonable 15$ tasting flight and you get to keep the tasting class . I sampled a variety of 40-60$ bourbons and I will definitely be searching for this brand in Queens NY where I live! All in all it was a perfect end to my ride and I will be back every time I am up north! Thumbs up!

Fantastic place! My friend and I did a tasting together Saturday afternoon. They had several bourbons and rye whiskey to choose from. They also make a great gin! You get to choose 3 samples per person. Staff was excellent especially Jonathan who was our bartender. Everything we tried was great! The double barrel maple bourbon was my favorite. Absolutely love their logo and all the merch they had for sale. Whoever does their design work is awesome! The tasting room was very warm and inviting. We had so much fun we decided to stay longer and got some cocktails to enjoy outside and look at the beautiful view. Lots of outside seating and a great atmosphere overall. Will definitely return again in the future!

This is a great little addition to the area when breweries and distilleries are popping up all over the area. They truly are the legit one that belongs. Their bourbon is delicious. They offer a tasting for $15 that allows you to try 3 of their offerings. I went home with a bottle of their mizunara which is aged in Japanese oak barrels. Truly complex and delicious. I'll let the people with more refined palates break the flavor down but I notice some sweet with caramel flavors and a hint of spice. I just know that I enjoyed it. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The setting is nice. You can enjoy a mixed gin or bourbon cocktail, or neat if you prefer that, In an Adirondack chair with a decent view into a valley peppered with cattle. It's in a remote location but the drive was nice and peaceful and allowed for some nice views along the way.

Learned about Taconic Distillery from dutchess county tourism. Distillery website didn't list any times for tours so I had to contact them directly. They responded quickly that they are open for bourbon tasting. We visited sprout creek and twin star orchard before the distillery. The space is rather small. They have a great looking wooden bar and a front shop area with lots of merch (maple syrups, hats, tshirts). The bar has lots of great expensive bourbons (including pappy) on the top shelf and local bourbons from NYC area on the bottom shelf. You can't buy them but they can give u a taste. The tasting itself costs $20, it includes a snifter like glass with Taconic dog and a taste of their 2 bourbons and a rye. The portions were tiny, they didn't offer any ice or water. There was however a wooden platter with cheese, crackers and grapes. The owner who served us at the bar was very knowledgeable. They don't offer tours yet because the facility is still not completely set up. The entire tasting was over in 15 minutes and was a bit underwhelming. I would not drive there from NYC again. I'd rather go check out local wineries.

Very good bourbons & ryes (as well as a very interesting rum aged in bourbon barrels), & knowledgeable and warm staff.

It provided a detailed and hands on explanation of their entire process and the history of the property. It was truly exceptional! Their distilled spirits are excellent. I'm a whiskey fan and their product does not disappoint! While I'm not a huge gin drinker, their gin is incredibly unique and provides a complex tasting experience! Their vodka has a unique creamy texture on the tongue and was also excellent! The final tasting was performed in a beautiful private room where they rent out liquor lockers to frequent visitors! I only wish I lived closer so I could be a regular visitor!

A flash of "maybe we should've left the kids at home" thought entered my mind but was quickly reassured by friendly staff greeting us and seating us promptly. A pleasant surprise that they have Thai food here at the distillery. No kids menu but my kids love regular menu food, so no issues. We shared the veggie spring rolls as appetizers. The spring rolls were very small, probably 2-3 bite size, but delicious. We are all very happy with the portion and taste of our main dishes: green curry, spicy minced pork (forgot the name), and pad Thai. Veggie in the dish tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. We all finished the dishes without any leftovers with just enough room for dessert. They only had 1 dessert: NY cheese cake with Thai sauce. I'm guessing this changes from day to day, so we ordered one to share.... Good thing we did! The dessert was $16! Yacks, it was good, but I thought it was a bit pricey. Then again, this place is quite fancy so we knew it wasn't going to a cheap lunch. For reference, the main dishes range $22-34. Mixed drinks $14-$18... Our bill came to $175ish, so a little over $200 meal with tip. They also have a large outdoor space for the kids to run around. Cool large slabs of stone formation. You can order more drinks at the bar and bring the drinks outside. Very nice place, we'll be back.

Title: Exceptional Tour and Truly World-Class Spirits…read more My visit to the Hudson House Distillery was an outstanding experience, elevated by a personal tour with the founder, Charles. The location itself is breathtaking, set in a beautifully restored historic mansion right on the Hudson River. However, the real highlight was getting a behind-the-scenes look at their distillation process. Charles was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate as he walked us through their production of rye, bourbon, gin, and vodka. A must-try is their vodka, which Charles proudly explained is distilled a remarkable 12 times. I can confidently say it is the best vodka I have ever sampled--exceptionally smooth. I was also impressed by their other spirits: Northwest Passage Gin: This gin stands out because it uses naturally soft water sourced directly from their artesian wells. Black Creek Bourbon: I was fortunate enough to sample a limited Founder's Batch of this bourbon. It is truly hand-crafted, made using limestone-softened natural artesian well water. The depth of care and quality put into every bottle is evident, and the personal details shared by the founder made the spirits taste even better. If you have the chance, I highly recommend asking for the tour--it provides an incredible appreciation for the craftsmanship at Hudson House Distillery.

Very cool distillery and restaurant in the Hudson Valley. I can't really speak to the service…read morebecause I was there with a large group of college alumni (nearly one hundred folks). But the food was so well prepared that it should be recognized. We started with a very tasty pork belly bao with hoisin sauce. Their house salad was a very well presented and interesting salad. But they knocked it out of the park with their entrees: roasted branzino with asparagus in a beurre blanc sauce and a strip steak served on a bed of caramelized onions and mushrooms in a bordelaise sauce. In particular, the steak, ordered medium rare, came out tender and perfectly cooked, and was of very high quality. Finally the sticky toffee pudding cake was served warm and was delicious. I would highly recommend the food here. Kudos to the chef!
