Hand-written cocktail recipes!
Eve S.

This place is amazing and Lucas Duval is the BEST tasting room host ever!! I came in to re-up on my stormy gin, which has been amazing since the "mistake" that led to its creation like 12 years ago, and had to try some of their new offerings. Lucas wrote me not one but TWO cocktail recipes on VIP tour cards to make the stormy gin have even more bang for the buck (See Pic)! They also offered their buttered rye recipe on another visit. If Lucas is working sit down and have a tasting - likely you'll learn something! (Also posted this review on Google)

Great local distillery home town feel, great whiskey tasting section. If your a whiskey lover stop here and enjoy!!!

Really excited to finally stop in after driving by this location 100x times. Perks of visiting the brick and mortar is there are 2-4 non distributed bourbon or whiskey products only sold on site (e.g. maple bourbon) which I got for $45, same price as some of their retail store items. Knowledgeable staff, great for gifts. Hangout patio outside!

Ethereal Gin

Bought this limited edition bottle out of town. Tastes like good quality gin from the Berkshire's.

I like learning stuff. Learning stuff that I didn't know before (especially about delicious boozes) always makes me happy. And the tour at Berkshire Mountain Distillers went over the process that they use to make their delicious spirits. Some of it I knew, like charring the barrels and what makes bourbon bourbon. But they also have bit about labeling and gin and how they turn Sam Adams beer into whiskey. Cool stuff! The gift shop has all of the Berkshire Mountain Distillers products, plus a bunch of extras. Not the cheapest, but good. It's a fun way to spend an hour or so.

G&T for Tanglewood tonight!

Sign said open for tastings yesterday, so naturally had to pull in and check it out. I have had their bourbons before and recently dined at a fine food establishment in Huntington, NY where the only gin in the bar was Berkshire. It made for a herbaceous dry gin martini (three olives please). The sign at the tasting bar said up to 6 samples and unlike New York, they were free of charge. The distiller ws passionate about his craft and explained the differences between his spirits that told a troy of each one's origin. They distill vodka, rum, bourbon and gin and have a number of variations. The ethereal gins were very floral, the cask aged bourbons unique. I left with a 4 pack of pre-made cocktails- gin and tonic, made with their own tonic water which had a light amber hue and was unlike any other tonic I have had before, well nuanced and balancing sweet and bitter perfectly. (they were the perfect beverage for late afternoon, early evening sipping at Tanglewood!

Their botanical gins are exceptional. They change each season with a few staples. Worth the drive.

I knew their bourbon was fantastic, but what we discovered when we visited here is that their gin is amazing!

The drive here, no matter where you're coming from will have you grateful for this vibrant season, full of the most beautiful colors. Any New Englander, or their guest is sure to appreciate! This property is just stunning. It is rustic, homey and has the loveliest people working here. The inside is small, they had quite the gathering of moonshiners. They offered us samples of the Cranberry and Apple Pie Moonshine. These are potent and so tasty, just as the names suggest! We sat outside, enjoying the sunshine while sipping on the Moonshines. When a lady came out distributing more. One serving of each was plenty for me. Shortly after I went inside to pay. I was expecting it to be around $30, because there was a sign that each shot glass is $3. Well, it was all on the house, just because it was our first time! Full Moonshine is open on Sunday 12-5. Please stop by and support this small business that makes delicious Moonshine!

It provided a detailed and hands on explanation of their entire process and the history of the property. It was truly exceptional! Their distilled spirits are excellent. I'm a whiskey fan and their product does not disappoint! While I'm not a huge gin drinker, their gin is incredibly unique and provides a complex tasting experience! Their vodka has a unique creamy texture on the tongue and was also excellent! The final tasting was performed in a beautiful private room where they rent out liquor lockers to frequent visitors! I only wish I lived closer so I could be a regular visitor!

A flash of "maybe we should've left the kids at home" thought entered my mind but was quickly reassured by friendly staff greeting us and seating us promptly. A pleasant surprise that they have Thai food here at the distillery. No kids menu but my kids love regular menu food, so no issues. We shared the veggie spring rolls as appetizers. The spring rolls were very small, probably 2-3 bite size, but delicious. We are all very happy with the portion and taste of our main dishes: green curry, spicy minced pork (forgot the name), and pad Thai. Veggie in the dish tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. We all finished the dishes without any leftovers with just enough room for dessert. They only had 1 dessert: NY cheese cake with Thai sauce. I'm guessing this changes from day to day, so we ordered one to share.... Good thing we did! The dessert was $16! Yacks, it was good, but I thought it was a bit pricey. Then again, this place is quite fancy so we knew it wasn't going to a cheap lunch. For reference, the main dishes range $22-34. Mixed drinks $14-$18... Our bill came to $175ish, so a little over $200 meal with tip. They also have a large outdoor space for the kids to run around. Cool large slabs of stone formation. You can order more drinks at the bar and bring the drinks outside. Very nice place, we'll be back.
