Local CT distillery, great people and spirit! Amazing aroma! Bourbon great enough to share around the country! To walk in... warm and inviting are but understatements.

Very enjoyable! Arrived a little later so joined a couple who were about to start a tasting. You get 6 samples (3 of which are chosen by your guide) for the tasting plus a sample of the maple syrup at the end. Loved the Honey Gin (not on the menu yet), Espresso martini, and the cinnamon bourbon as my extra 3. Loved all, especially the Honey Gin (tasted like honeysuckle smells! If they would have had some for sale, I would have bought it.) Additionally appreciated the water bottles they had available on the table for us as we did the tasting. Loved the atmosphere, decor, merch options, and the really friendly and knowledgeable staff. After our tasting and purchase, they threw in coasters and stickers, which was a nice touch. If I lived in the area or they were able to ship to my state, I would be their spirits and bourbon regularly. (Pro tip: for those who like mixed drinks with bourbon, their Straight 4 year whiskey, or standard base, is great for mixing!)

Not a bourbon fan but came for a tasting and tour for some expansion. Tried some fruity and flavorful vodka. Informative and educational experience during the tour with breakdown of their process for distillation and production. Maple syrup was so good. Tasting was informative with a selection of tastings to choose from.

I'd heard that the tours here were fun so when a bourbon-loving friend was in town we came here and had an amazing time. Our tour guide (Mike?) was informative and entertaining. The tastings were great too...I was able to try a couple of things that I was interested in and ended up buying some bottles. I also found out that they work with a producer of maple syrup to make wonderful syrup that is aged in bourbon barrels. Definitely a great way to spend some time on a weekend and support some local business people.

First time here, what a great experience. We did the tour and tasting. For someone who is a wanna be bourbon drinker, I learned so much. So many to try and enjoy. Not to mention how helpful and knowledgeable the staff was. The distillery itself was so warm and welcoming inside, made you want to hang out in front of the fire with a glass of bourbon. Great place!!

First visit to a distillery. We had a great time! I love how they take this time to explain the process. Extremely interesting! Then came tasting! Yum!

What a great tour of a small Connecticut distillery. We were given a tour of the distilling equipment and an explanation of the distilling process. We then went to warehouse and shown the aging barrels and the various steps of the aging process. After the tour we walked back to the front store/sampling room and were given multiple sample shots of aged bourbon, vodka and flavored bourbons. Tour and tasting takes about 2 hours. There was no charge for the tour and tasting. Guaranteed after this you will walk out with a least 1 bottle purchase of your favorite.

The Litchfield Distillery with free tour and tasting was outstanding. The tour was very interesting and insightful. The free tasting was very at thing to do on a rainy day!

    Hand sanitizer at Litchfield Distillery.

FREE hand sanitizer to medical personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic -- that's much more than 5 Stars in my book. I couldn't find hand sanitizer anywhere, and my company isn't supplying it either, even though I handle and transport COVID-19 specimens daily. Many thanks to Litchfield Distillery for making and giving away hand sanitizer during these difficult times -- it has been very appreciated by me and my fellow co-workers !

This property is just stunning. It is rustic, homey and has the loveliest people working here. The inside is small, they had quite the gathering of moonshiners. They offered us samples of the Cranberry and Apple Pie Moonshine. These are potent and so tasty, just as the names suggest! We sat outside, enjoying the sunshine while sipping on the Moonshines. When a lady came out distributing more. One serving of each was plenty for me. Shortly after I went inside to pay. I was expecting it to be around $30, because there was a sign that each shot glass is $3. Well, it was all on the house, just because it was our first time! Full Moonshine is open on Sunday 12-5.
