    How wine grows

This place was very cool. A good selection of homemade wine. The owners were really cool. They shared details Of their business and even gave one of us a tour of the cellar. They had a great food truck that served amazing grilled cheese and cheese covered fries. Plus animals. Dogs, goats, and mounted animals of various types. Recommend.

When I say coming here felt like returning home, it would be an understatement. This small, family run winery had the best wine we tasted during our trip. They had fruit wine made from fresh blueberries and raspberries that were legitimately one of the most delicious things I'd ever tasted. Their dogs were adorable and sweet, charming guests with their puppy dog eyes and affection (don't feed the dogs!). They were so incredibly accommodating and hospitable, we didn't want to leave! We will have to plan another trip, just to visit Home Range.

I was so glad to run across the Yelp review otherwise I would have missed this gem! On a dreary Sunday afternoon drive thru the Berkshires. Easy off the highway this charming well kept eclectic nod to a family farm has a little something for everyone! A working farm- yes You can by eggs(chicken and duck)and veggies during the season. The vineyard is across the street! The tasting room is the renovated family barn- clean and so many fun nostalgic items for the curious eye. The owners Peter and Susan are knowledgeable and open like your old friends. They are also quick to acknowledge neighboring craft breweries and wineries in the spirit of networking Everything was covid safe and they have outdoor seating and heaters chickens, ducks, pigs coming next. The wine flights are reasonable and Serve with a nut assortment or crackers They even had a few chocolates with the dessert type of wines. This was a lovely afternoon and we walked away with a bottle of wine I would definitely go back when the weather was a little nicer maybe enjoy some of the food truck and entertainment.

Vino di Vino in the Berkshires!…read more What's not to love when you find a hidden winery that has a gorgeous atmosphere and friendly faces. Valentines weekend called for a trip down memory lane and to one of our favorite places, The Berkshires. Upon arrival our room was not ready so we looked for a wine bar/winery on Yelp. We were so thrilled to find Balderdash. They were pretty crowded since it was Valentine's Day, but we were able to grab a table in front of the live music. I ordered a wine flight (mostly from California vineyards) they don't grow any grapes here and my husband had a beer. What I also love about this place is that you can bring in your own food. I did see a bunch of couples sharing crackers and cheese. They had a cannoli cart pop up which was delicious! The live music was also great! I honestly didn't want to leave since we were having so much fun. I wish we lived closer we would be here all the time. If you get a chance, check out this winery and enjoy a glass and some music on me! Cheers

Last time, we came on a Saturday afternoon and it was crowded inside, but there's plenty of seating outside. There was also live music and it was a great vibe. You can bring your own food, but they also have a food truck outside usually. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The person helping us this time let us try the wine before we bought it which was nice. I have gotten the flight once before, but the amount they give you to try for each wine is very small and for the price, I recommend just getting a glass of wine. My favorite is the truth serum rose blend.

We were hosted by the most knowledgeable and gracious couple (Lisa and Francis) who were welcoming and made our first experience a memorable one. We learned about the history behind the vineyard, the amazing artwork that decorates it (inside and out) and left feeling more well versed with wine. I am normally not a Chardonnay fan but since their Chardonnay is made in a steel barrel, it doesn't have the same buttery taste that an oak barrel would.. and I LOVED IT! (if y'all read this review, I hope that's correct). I also was surprised that I really liked their Sherry, which is one of the highest proofs spirits that they serve. It was strong but it was something enjoyable to sip on! (Def went home with a bottle of each) We happened to arrive in a night where us wasn't busy so if you arrive and it looks quiet, do not leave! We ended up receiving VIP one-on-one service that may have been different if the place was packed (which they mentioned it was the night before) The couple who spent time with us were so friendly, and after noticing a gift basket assembly on the table, even let me purchase it since I live in the city and wouldn't be back up this way for a while. Our only regret was not getting there earlier in the day so that we could enjoy the outdoor experience of the venue, since the property is covered in beautiful grassy fields and sculptures that are even on some of the bottle labels. This is a highly recommended place! Ask about their cute gift baskets and make sure to go before the middle of December before they close for winter. They will reopen in April... and I will def be back!
