Spirited is a lovely spirits, wine and charcuterie shop with plenty of supplies for your next party, picnic or any celebration. They have a wide variety of wines, aperitifs, spirits, from around the world, accompanied by an exquisite selection of cheeses and cured meat. Plus a large selection of micro brewed beer. First time ordering a charcuterie board from here for tanglewood and I was VERY impressed. They customize your board with anything specific you do or don't want, then you provide a price cap and the talented staff create a masterpiece. I ordered for a group of 8-10 people with a $150 price cap, and we had plenty to go around with leftovers! It was a big hit and highly recommend for any charcuterie/tail gate/ party needs! read more

Cannot say enough good things about these folks. My wife was staying in Lenox and I wanted to send her a split of champagne for our anniversary since we were apart. Not only did they deliver it right away so it was at the hotel when she arrived, they included flower balloons, which my wife loved. Very good specialty food and wine store in the Berkshires area; we had to stop by after we had a terrific cheese plate at a restaurant the evening before and the waitress told us all the cheeses came from Spirited. Well, I was very impressed with Spirited's selection of cheeses in that many of them are locally made artisanal cheeses from central NY and MA farms. I came home with: Grace Hill Farm's Hilltown Bleu (creamy and smoky), Robinson Farm's Swiss (fine holes, rich and mellow), and Old Chatham "Nancy's" Camembert (OMG, like buttah but bettah!). The attendants are very friendly and happy to offer you a taste of just about everything. The shop also has a charcuterie section which also had several varieties of regionally made pates; I indulged in a pate de campagne and it was super - luscious, smooth, meaty, as good as I've had in France, and sure to raise my LDL's (but at least I'll go happily ... ). Spirited's deli section also makes delicious-looking (and smelling) panini's to-go and next time we're there, we'll have to try these for lunch. This store absolutely deserves all the 5 star reviews it receives! At first glance, it looks like your typical liquor store, with an impressive and diverse selection of wine, beer, and liquors. However, what makes this store so special is the food section, where they make delicious paninis or curate picnic baskets of cheese, meats, crackers, jams/honey, etc. for you. We had a chance to sample a few of their amazing cheeses (I still dream about the aged gouda) before finalizing our charcuterie box, and if I am ever in the Berkshires again for a Tanglewood concert or to enjoy the Naumkeag Garden, this will 100% be our first stop. read more

This is a very interesting and cool place. It is not only a liquor store but there is also what looks to be a deli of sorts in here as well. I didn't visit that area but from what I saw they had some great looking sandwiches and cheeses. The beer selection here is pretty good but the prices did seem a tad higher than what I am used to seeing. But man, when you can get Uncle Jacobs Stout and KBS on the shelf it's not a bad day at all. Whenever I leave on a trip somewhere, I always search for restaurants I should try, events I should attend, attractions must visit, and locations where I can purchase some craft brews. My trip to this coast started out in Philly. But unfortunately for me, I had a tight schedule and could not visit any of the stores/breweries I bookmarked. After Philly, I thought I would be SOL because I was heading to the Birkshires, an area I naively believed to be a sort of craft beer wasteland. So when I was walking down the street from my Inn, I noticed this store and decided to walk in. Wow. This store had quite the assortment of wines and liquors. There was an even a section for local gourmet cheese! But I digress. I really came here for the beer. As soon as I entered the store, I made a straight line for the beer isle and immediately grabbed a couple bottles of pumpking. Then came the daunting task of deciding what else to purchase. Several other bottles were on my wish list but I only had a limited amount of space and still had to save room for beers in Boston. I ended up with some resin and creme brulee. I also noticed a sign for founders breakfast stout but they were all out. The guy working up front was rather helpful and informed me that the next shipment would be the next day. He wrote up my order for some breakfast stout and I was notified the following afternoon that my order was ready. So thank you! Fantastic little shop! We stopped in to pick up some wine, cheese and bread on the way to a Tanglewood concert. This is a serious outfit. They're one of those encyclopedic stores that basically stocks everything that's available in the state. What's more, they put together excellent deals on mixed cases: all white, all red, or both. In addition, though, their deli case is out of this world and--as other reviewers noted--you can, for about $25/person, get a picnic supper that will turn into 2-3 meals. Seriously. I'm a beer person, and I stopped here for that specific reason. Wow, great selection! Craft, local, not so local, cheap, you name it. And most of the beer? Actually cold, in a fridge! Not on a shelf staying warm. Seriously though, I was amazed of the selection, especially since the store is not huge. They had a ton of wine, which I did not look at, and they have fancy cheese, which my parents always purchase. The staff was helpful and so friendly. We have huge beer stores in Florida, but a place like Spirited would be great there, because it has a great selection but not too overwhelming.
