Absolutely ridiculous: HWM is a high-end niche business based on Warren Street's fancy clientele. A liquor store across from a gas station two towns away, selling Wild Turkey and Popov, was no threat to HWM. I was a regular when Michael and Marianne owned HWM, but I'll never spend another penny thete because of this petty behavior against a great Livingston family.

I went there because the Nejaimes used to run a grocery store in my hometown of Harwinton, CT…read more (They then went on, in the 1960's, to open "Nejaime's Stockbridge Shop," a grocery store which was immortalized in a painting by the renowned artist Norman Rockwell.) I found out (from Mike Nejaime, a relative who works at my local liquor store--Ponte's Torringford Liquor Store) that even though the grocery shop has changed hands, the Nejaime family runs a couple of wine shops in that area so I wanted to speak with one of the Nejaimes. (My dad was Lebanese, so I am half, and they are Lebanese, so we also had that fond connection.) When I walked into the Lenox store, I was greeted warmly by a man working there and a nice lady as well who asked if she could help me. I said I'd like to speak to a Nejaime, and she went into the back and brought back Joe Nejaime, the proprieter, who is the son of owners of the little grocery store in Harwinton, CT from my childhood. Joe was nice as could be, and we talked and reminisced about the store from our childhood days. I ended up telling him that I saw him and his store on an episode of "The Real Housewives of New York City." He told me that Dorinda Medley (one of my favorites) has a house close by there. I was so excited to buy her signature Bourbon, and Joe even took a selfie with me! The store is immaculately clean and has an amazing selection of wines and liquors. I can't imagine you'd get better service, as well. Stop in sometime! (They also have a Stockbridge location as well as the Lenox store.)

They have created the most beautiful space full of an incredible selection of wines, craft spirits, and really any type of alcohol you might need. You will find wines from California to New Zealand and anywhere in between. As soon as you step into the shop you are greeted by an artful display of wine featuring some theme or place they have decided to highlight. The ambiance in this place cannot be matched and I always feel welcomed when I visit. Tony remembers my group of friends as the AMC students who jumped around in the rain last year, this greeting cannot be beat! Be sure to follow their Instagram to be in the know of their events and updates. Some Friday evenings they organize wine tastings and collaborate with local food vendors that set up booths outside of the shop. We've had dumplings, empanadas, and desserts during our different visits. This place is always such a vibe and we always leave, looking forward to our next visit. We bought a bottle of a Shiraz/Cabernet blend to enjoy outside, but there were definitely other contenders that I would have been happy to drink. Another fun feature to Les Trois Emme is that you are given a plate of little snacks to pair with each wine; things like sliced avocado on a rice cracker, a small quesadilla triangle, and smoked salmon. All the food is prepared in a small kitchen area behind the bar, and is tailored to complement your wine choices. Definitely worth a visit!

The outdoor space is relaxing and tranquil since it's a relatively small winery. I also did a small tasting ($1) of their pumpkin wine, because, pumpkin and wine. It is a light white wine with pumpkin spice notes. Immediately bought two bottles. While we were enjoying our wine and cheese the owner, Wayne, came out to greet us and he was so friendly and kind. The winery is a family business and the name is inspired by three women whose names begin with the letter "M". Can't wait to stop back here on our next visit to the area.
