My favorite spot for sipping hard ciders and making new friends. Wine tasting, cider doughnuts all with a cozy fire place. Cheers

We find this to be a fun place to bring visiting friends and family. The orchard also has a store and bar. They usually have fresh cider donuts, various jars of pickles, jellies, popcorn - all from local sources. The bar area is fun with a big fireplace for colder days. During the summer, pick your own apples. And the staff, friendly and fun.

The atmosphere at Hilltop is always welcoming and friendly. We tasted some award winning wines and donuts.

Sara and David always provide a quality tasting experience and excellent customer service. The cider donuts are heavenly and made year round. The hard cider and wine tastings are the best!

Incredibly friendly staff. Came in and did a wine/cider tasting. HAD to get some apple cider donuts while we were too (they were delicious)! Lots of snack items and things to try while you're here. Indoor and outdoor seating (a lovely fireplace inside for cool days) There is apple picking here too! Overall a nice visit here!

We visited in the summer Cute little winery. Nice selection of ciders Sara was very sweet and accommodating. I'm sure when the fall rolls around and the orchard is open for apple picking it would be amazing!!

A beautiful temperature outside made us not to miss to enjoy the weather. The first thing we thought was going to the closest orchard where we were staying. This place offers the best cider and cider donut in the area. Definitely worth trying , was not disappointed of it that made us want to come back on Apple season to enjoy further what it offers. Due to Covid, their wine tasting for the season was closed down but offers a simplest form of enjoying their wine produce , in a packed container. The place follows social distancing procedure. Staff is friendly. Beautiful place to stop by.

Make this your main stop in the Berkshires! We popped in about an hour before they closed without a reservation, expecting to be turned away but oh the contrary! Sara greeted us with the warmest welcome, she truly is such a light. We were visiting the Berkshires from CA, and felt right at home in seconds. We joined in on a tasting she was hosting and tried a glass of Apfelkorn apple wine, safe to say I met my match. Ordering as many bottles as I can before the holidays. We hadn't even tried their apple cider donuts yet, I was already in heaven and those sent me over! The grounds are beautiful, the people are beautiful, the cider and wine are beautiful. Can't recommend enough!! My only complaint is our visit was short, but that's our fault!

This place has the furnace winery in the back. It is a hidden gem. Sara is the vintners wife. During your tasting she will tell you about all of the stories behind the wines the have. It makes the experience amazing! Not only did did this place have wine but awesome jellies and delicious apple cider donuts. I recommend stopping in for a visit!

Wow amazing cider donuts! We were very impressed with the donuts. Super fresh as they seemed to have been churning them out on a Saturday. There is limited outdoor seating although it's nice they have some shaded picnic tables. I initially found this place by searching for wineries so was expecting a bit more in terms of wine and winery ambience. It's basically a donut / cider shop selling some wine and cider at a bar in the back. Atmosphere definitely lacking so I didn't try any of the wines or ciders. If you just want to come pick up a lot of cider donuts and cider though I highly recommend. Careful with the gravel driveway. Parking at the bottom of the hill.

Stopped here for apple cider and donuts. We were there first thing in the morning. The Apple cider donuts were hot and delicious. I also had a container of cider which was cold and delicious. We bought apples and wine. The grounds aren't very appealing. And the inside doesn't have much to offer and not a lot of character. Staff is very helpful I just don't know that I will go back.

Valentines weekend called for a trip down memory lane and to one of our favorite places, The Berkshires. Upon arrival our room was not ready so we looked for a wine bar/winery on Yelp. We were so thrilled to find Balderdash. They were pretty crowded since it was Valentine's Day, but we were able to grab a table in front of the live music. I ordered a wine flight (mostly from California vineyards) they don't grow any grapes here and my husband had a beer. What I also love about this place is that you can bring in your own food. I did see a bunch of couples sharing crackers and cheese. They had a cannoli cart pop up which was delicious! The live music was also great! I honestly didn't want to leave since we were having so much fun. I wish we lived closer we would be here all the time. If you get a chance, check out this winery and enjoy a glass and some music on me! Cheers

Last time, we came on a Saturday afternoon and it was crowded inside, but there's plenty of seating outside. There was also live music and it was a great vibe. You can bring your own food, but they also have a food truck outside usually. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The person helping us this time let us try the wine before we bought it which was nice. I have gotten the flight once before, but the amount they give you to try for each wine is very small and for the price, I recommend just getting a glass of wine. My favorite is the truth serum rose blend.

We were hosted by the most knowledgeable and gracious couple (Lisa and Francis) who were welcoming and made our first experience a memorable one. We learned about the history behind the vineyard, the amazing artwork that decorates it (inside and out) and left feeling more well versed with wine. I am normally not a Chardonnay fan but since their Chardonnay is made in a steel barrel, it doesn't have the same buttery taste that an oak barrel would.. and I LOVED IT! (if y'all read this review, I hope that's correct). I also was surprised that I really liked their Sherry, which is one of the highest proofs spirits that they serve. It was strong but it was something enjoyable to sip on! (Def went home with a bottle of each) We happened to arrive in a night where us wasn't busy so if you arrive and it looks quiet, do not leave! We ended up receiving VIP one-on-one service that may have been different if the place was packed (which they mentioned it was the night before) The couple who spent time with us were so friendly, and after noticing a gift basket assembly on the table, even let me purchase it since I live in the city and wouldn't be back up this way for a while. Our only regret was not getting there earlier in the day so that we could enjoy the outdoor experience of the venue, since the property is covered in beautiful grassy fields and sculptures that are even on some of the bottle labels. This is a highly recommended place! Ask about their cute gift baskets and make sure to go before the middle of December before they close for winter. They will reopen in April... and I will def be back!
