I love this area in general but I love maple ridge a little more. I will say, I am not a fan of their dinner menu, didn't enjoy it BUT I love their drink menu and their lunch/brunch menu- it's worth going for! Service is always top notch, I have no issues there, some of the best in the area! The aesthetic is amazing, a very vintage- cool vibe where you feel like you can dress up or down and you're still in the right place! Will forever be in my go - to rotations! read more

Met a friend here for breakfast and loved it! Parking can be a challenge, but it's got a super cute interior with a great selection of breakfast dishes. I had a latte and the all day omlette - both were delicious. I also took a couple of the enormous chocolate chips cookies home for my kiddos - they were so good! We had fresh baked bread with butter to start. We also had house salads as well. For the main courses we had Bolognese pasta and the wife had Salmon w/ pecan romesco with a side of asparagus along with zucchini and squash griddle cakes. We ended the meal with a shared serving of Chinese egg custard pie topped with blackberry compote. The food was presented perfect and was five star quality. This dining experience was weird to say the least. The crab cakes were more like crab balls (meatball shaped) and they totally fell apart when cut into. We sent back the bolognese (which had a very strange flavor, the server said was cardamom. Weird.), and we sent back the steak frite that was ordered medium rare but was too tough to chew AND was cold in the middle. Yuck. Lastly we were gifted a slice of the strawberry cheesecake that was inedible. Such a strange dining experience. Our server very kindly substituted our entrees with something else we asked for and the manager removed the items, that were sent back, from the bill. However, we were charged for the bread and butter that was brought to the table early on, which I presumed was something that the restaurant did for every table - since we didn't ask for it. We didn't dispute the charge because it was only $4 and I felt another complaint was just too much. Lastly the water glasses are very small and it doesn't seem to be a priority to fill them. My wife and I liked this place okay. The service was great, the atmosphere was great but the food was a 7/10 for me. The chicken dish had a wonderful sauce, the veggie was delicious but the chicken was dry. The tomato carrot soup tasted great until the parm melted in and made the soup just too salty for us to eat the rest. Now would I go back, yes there were other things on the menu I would like to try like their bok choy. Would I recommend it to someone? It is bright and warm feeling. We decided to sit at the bar which has limited seating but perfect when it isn't crowded. I loved my blackberry bramble - it was sweet but not too sweet, I would definitely order it again and was a little sad at how quickly it was gone. I liked the chips (fries) - the shape was fun and adding the mole aioli was key. It added a nice balance and was yummy. Our bartender was great, chatty and good knowledge of drinks and the menu. My wife had the Salmon Burger and for me the MRG Banh Mi. My wife loved the salmon burger. On the MRG Banh Mi, pork with a hint of smoke, Asian BBQ sauce, teriyaki mayo, cilantro and jalapenos on a bolillo. An absolutely delicious, sensational combination of flavors. I loved it except for some of the tough unchewable and fatty slices of pork. I'm talking can't chew it, can't cut it with a knife shoe string tough. The meals came with delicious uniquely cut fries. My girlfriends and I recently had a birthday dinner here, and overall, it was a nice experience. The decor is so cute, and the theme is thoroughly executed from the plates to the light fixtures and on through to the pink tile and toilet in the ladies room. The wait staff was top notch. I believe our server was Devon (?), and she was incredibly patient and sweet as a couple in my party had some specific requests that required investigation into ingredients and special requests for their actual orders. The food was good. I ordered the chicken. It came with gnocchi and Swiss chard. It was fine. My friends ordered burgers. The fries were delicious- easily the best thing on the table. There was an issue with one of the burgers being fully raw in the center, and they replaced and comped that entree. We did not ask for it to be comped, so that was nice of them. We were able to sit and talk for quite some time, and we never felt rushed or like a bother. I'd like to go back to try other things. read more

My wife and I came by for brunch at about 12:30 on a Saturday. We ordered coffees. I got drip (maybe roasted by doubleshot Tulsa?), and my wife got the mrg latte. The coffee was excellent. We ordered food, cheddar quiche for her, and the burrito for myself. We also ordered a maple donut to share. The donut came out quickly. It was about the same as any maple bar you can get at any area donut shop, but a little stale. We then proceeded to wait half an hour for our food to come out. The kitchen did look busy. Maybe they were understaffed for the day. In the time that we were waiting, our 6 oz water glasses had been topped off once, and were now nearly empty. The quiche was undercooked. The crust on the bottom was soggy and almost raw. The egg mixture was sloppy and runny, not soft and spongy. The burrito was very, just ok. It was packed full, but nothing really stood out flavor wise. To top everything off, I tried to pay by using the QR code at the table. The system did not work, and we had to wait for a paper bill and to have it processed. Maybe it was a bad day. I won't be in a rush to return any time soon. read more
