Happy Hour review: I've heard really good things about rise's happy hour and so we gave it a try on a Friday afternoon. Happy hour runs 3-6 PM with a minor discount on wine flights ($1 from my estimation) and cocktails. A complimentary Rillette or cheese plate is also available. These are truly small plates but they are presented beautifully and come with cornichons, olives, and port-soaked figs. Pretty much the perfect bites. I went with a wine flight and my friend went with a mimosa. After that we both needed to do a mocktail as we were driving. We tried an orange fizz and a pomegranate fizz. Both were good (and maybe even better than the real cocktail). We also got bread service. I would certainly try this again. It was a great quiet place if you are looking for a more low-key happy hour. read more

We went to Rise on 2/14/26 around late lunch time. Rise is such a unique experience. The restaurant is beautiful! When you walk in it feels like a French bistro. Very cozy with a large bar and an open kitchen. You feel at home but you know it's going to be an elevated experience. The waitress was so kind and greeted us quickly with a loaf of fresh bread and waters. After hearing it was our first time there, she took the time to explain the menu, the restaurants history and their specials. When she came back with our drinks we talked more about the menu and she helped us pick our meals. Food 8/10- IF you like soufflés. We figured out really quickly that we do not like savory soufflés but we liked the dessert one a lot and would go back for it. You guys... this place is so good! I am worried to say it too much, because my hype could hinder how great it really is. Ha. From the time we entered u til we left we felt well attended to. The food was wonderful there is a great menu with soufflés for any taste with an addition of other items to complement them. We even tried a dessert soufflé because our waiter surprised us with it. The restaurant itself is really cool with seating situation where you don't necessarily feel like others are there. I have had soufflés before but not like the ones served here. They suggested that we order everything at once so that we could get it all on time and that was the best advice they could have offered in my opinion. Our server was gracious, swift and gave great tips for our experience. Soufflé was a treat! We came for our monthly date night/ 2 month wedding anniversary AL was our server and was fantastic. So sweet, attentive, and didn't take our celebration lightly. I wanted wine but was indecisive and AL let me sample a few reccomendations until I found what I wanted. The marshmallow, tomato soup was a pleasant surprise. The marshmallow was actually made of goat cheese, perfect for a stormy day. Now for the soufflés, they are a unique texture, this was both our first time trying one. They are beautifully crafted and full of flavor. I had the crab and he had the herb and sausage. We ended up switching because I preferred the sausage, so full of flavor and herbacious. Then the dessert, we ordered the bread pudding but AL surprised us with the grand Marnier as well (which is the other option my husband wanted). Both were rich and delicious. They came with a liquid pour which complimented nicely. The ambiance was beautiful and transports you to Paris, low lit and moody, romantic or could also be a great place for friends. There were several groups of girlfriends catching up. We were pleasantly impressed with our experience and would come back, especially to experience there version of happy hour. I definitely enjoyed my visit to Rise in Tulsa! The little corner where we sat reminded me of the Twilight scene where Bella is eating and Edward is watching her at the restaurant , super cozy and warm. Our waitress was amazing, so knowledgeable about the house specials and exactly what to recommend. We were torn between the two seasonal soufflés (pumpkin and bananas foster), and she surprised us by gifting us one so we could try both. Such a thoughtful gesture that will definitely bring us back! This was my first return trip to rise after being blown away at a Yelp event and while I did enjoy myself, I don't know that I will become a regular. I enjoyed myself but just don't know that it was an experience for me. My brother and I were struggling to decide on a late lunch when I remembered they had a happy hour that started fairly early (3-6) and from what I remembered included a few of their savory soufflés and a dessert soufflé, as well as some complimentary bites. The complimentary bites were still included, a choice between a salmon spread or chefs cheese choice. Both are delicious, and as one should reasonably expect a high quality complimentary item to be it is a single little crostini to whet the appetite. (Not a complaint, just setting an expectation). During happy hour the do have a nice selection of alcohol discounts, however neither of us are drinking currently so we didn't pay much attention. Now on to the menu...we were a little disappointed to see that the happy hour food offerings were paired down to just one soufflé, the Raspberry. We were hoping to be able to try a variety of things, but with their prices being $20+ couldn't really muster the want to spend more than just splitting one. We settled on the southwest chicken which sounded like it would be full of flavor, but we were a little disappointed, especially for the price. It came out hot and fresh, however there seemed to be a lack of any noticeable "southwest" flavor and minimal chicken from what we expected. Making up for it tho was the raspberry dessert soufflé. I'd return just for that...and their bread. It's amazing. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we got there since it was an off time between meals, but the staff was still very kind and attentive. They provide a premium level of service in an atmosphere that feels just a little more refined than the average eatery. It hurts me to report this experience. I've put it off for this reason. Especially for somewhere I really care about. My daughter made the reservation, 12:15 for Mother's Day. The in-house res' taker even asked me my name -- as we were there having lunch. We all arrived on time. It's Mother's Day. . . why do we ever do this? You're walking into chaos. If you can promise me better, please contact me. In short; we walk in, barely. It was so crowded. And some guy was standing at reception, holding everything up. The group standing behind us said irately, "We've been waiting quite a while". But we were about to be seated and joyfully followed. Then my heart rate began to climb -- they headed to the kitchen. I stopped and said, "No. I'm not sitting in there". (See prior review ) My husband began mumbling his "We don't have to stay here" spiel. Considerately, we were rerouted. -- to the * other * side of the kitchen where I'd sat before. Again, I stated my feelings. Finally, we were rerouted to that little glassed "garden" room -- light, bright, certainly not crowded - one rather large group-- 3 generations. We were taken to the corner table and amused ourselves watching the cars and people coming and going on Polo Grill's patio. Our waitress, Kaelyn, was hard worked, no complaints, she was great. Daughter had the cauliflower & Brie and it was *awesome* as was the avocado special I had. Hubby enjoyed his Jambo Sandwich. Daughter and I felt his accompanying salad wasn't as meticulous as was ours, previously ordered. (Kinda sloppy) Hubby is a bread pudding aficionado so he ordered one. We all tasted it and agreed -- don't. Approaching dessert time is when things really fell apart although, by then, the lunch crush was really clearing out. I kept seeing servers I'd never seen at the large group's table. THEN, other unknowns showed up with our desserts. "Can we get rid of this?" I asked, motioning to all the dirty dishes remaining on our table. Really? If I hadn't said something, I promise you they would have plopped our desserts on that uncleared table. Inexperience on their part? Absolutely no excuse. Where had our waitress gone? We may return. Definitely not as soon as we'd been patronizing. After trying a bite of my husbands, it reminded me of a breakfast sausage casserole. So I gave Rise three stars because the service and atmosphere were excellent--absolutely worth the visit. However, the sandwich I got was confusing. The Brie and Cornichon Baguette, priced at $17, is incredibly underwhelming. It's the same bread offered at every table upon arrival, cold Brie, and halved Cornichon pickles. That's it. No mustard, nothing. It comes with field greens and chips. There's hardly any substance to it, and it's a stretch to call this a meal. All three stars are for the service and ambience alone; the sandwich, unfortunately, gets a zero. read more

It was delicious. They do have a gluten free version of soufflés but I got their regular one. I also had apricot tea and it was really good. For dessert, the five of us split a raspberry soufflé with chocolate sauce. It was just right-not too rich.
