Our experience was beyond amazing. We were promptly seated with reservations and server was immediately attentive and super knowledgeable about everything. The sommelier stopped by but we chose not to drink wine. We ordered the items highlighted and they were all on point. The best salad with olives was light while the cabbage but warm and hearty. May be the best schnitzel we've ever had and a great first impression to monkfruit fish with couscous and African inspired beans. The setting is warm but not too dark or uppity. Spacious and a gorgeous bar with two restrooms behind it. In the other corner is an oyster bar and stairs that lead to?! There is no parking per se but we will be back!

Best food from our trip to tulsa so far! I had a croissant souffle florentine--awesome. Perfectly seasoned, buttery, fluffy, and delicious. Husband had the pork belly poutine. That sauce was heavenly. We brought leftovers and had the whole extended family try it. Everyone loved it. The cheese curds were perfect as well (I lived in Minnesota before, I have a valid opinion lol). And the fries soaked up that gravy very well. 11/10 recommending to all our tulsa friends. Also great prices for the portions, $15 for essentially 2 meals is a steal. Truth be told: We ended up going here after Cheever's wouldn't seat us without a reservation. A happy accident!!! This place was great!!

Started out with the caviar service and honestly it was probably the best caviar we've had in Tulsa, which we understand is not saying much, but we would highly recommend! This was definitely a highlight for us! We had the bread and butter and honestly this was probably the most underwhelming item of the night. The focaccia was a little tough but the butter was delicious! The French onion soup was absolutely incredible. Literally no notes. We will be getting this again if possible! We read lots of reviews about the charred cabbage and boy it did not disappoint! What an experience! I didn't know that cabbage could have that much flavor! Would recommend if you want to try something a little new. My main was the braised beef and I honestly wish I wouldn't have eaten all of the other starters just so I could comfortably devour this entire dish. However, if I'm being honest, I still licked the plate clean, I just paid for it later . My husband's main was the pan seared duck. The duck and the purse was perfectly cooked and complimented each other perfectly! No notes on this dish either!

Easily one of the top 5 culinary experiences in town, Ava June blends fresh flavors, French sensibilities and comfort foods into a magical dining experience. We made last minute reservations for a birthday on a Sunday and had little issue getting in for an early dinner. The servers were knowledgeable of the menu, attentive and honest in their opinions. It may be the first time in my life when asking for a recommendation a server didn't default to the more expensive option to help pad their tip. The restaurant itself has a refined and classy feel to it without wandering into stuffy. Listings on open table say it's business casual but we found it to be very come as you are as long as you're clean and presentable. Their mocktail menu was great, with actual NA spirits on it, more than just beers, but the beer and cocktail menu is impressive. If I had to be nit-picky about the experience the one thing I'd critique would be that our reservation indicated a special celebration, but the restaurant didn't do anything to acknowledge it. I know it sounds petty, but there's something special about a piece of cake with a candle or a celebratory cocktail at your birthday meal, and far lower end places provide that little touch.

Nice restaurant, nice ambience, nice service. Just everything was nice. This was our first time to eat here at Ava June. We ate there on a Saturday night and it wasn't too crowded. We got reservations pretty easily. The waitress gave us great recommendations, and she was very friendly. I had the Pork Schnitzel, and my wife had Beef Bourguignon both with a Petit Salad. The pork schnitzel was very good. The meat was juicy and well seasoned. It had kind of a sweet sauce on top and it was really a great contrast with the sauerkraut. But it was just a little too sweet for me and I kind of got tired of it. I think I would rather have the sauce on the side and then I could measure it out how I needed to. My wife had Beef Bourguignon. It was really good also. She ate most of it, but it was just super rich so she couldn't finish. I had a few bites, but it was a little dry. I think we could've used a little bit more sauce. But no fault of theirs I think it was a really good dish. I just kept thinking all night. I wish we had some bread. We kind of laughed because they had bread and butter as a shareable appetizer but it was $17 lol. So I didn't wanna order that, but it just seemed like we needed some bread with the salad or the entrée. Very nice restaurant. I think it was kind of a "we tried it and that was it" kind of thing for us.

Get the cabbage, it's the best thing on the menu. It is a little loud. If you get the beef bourguignon ask for extra sauce on the side. The duck was phenomenal. 5/5. Drinks were all great.

The space is stunning. The seating is comfortable and tables are nice. Our waitress was pleasant albeit a bit aloof. I asked for the remainder of my meal to be boxed but had to ask after paying the check if it would return. Focaccia appetizer was good. The bread that it's served with is tasty and it's a generous portion. There were four of us so I'd have preferred that they send four pieces of bread as opposed to just three. All of our meals were good. The mushrooms with the chicken were cooked prefect and very flavorful. The steak frites were overall good. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tender -- however the sauce was a bit lackluster. It could have been richer and more flavorful. I always think of steak frites as a punch on the menu but this was not that. I think it could use more flavor.

Ava June is a lovely little bistro at the corner of cherry street and Peoria in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The bartender was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. I took his suggestion and tried a curaçao Rickey. It was bright, dry, crisp, and refreshing.

before coming to a spot, i usually look up the menu to prepare myself when i come in. when saw the steel cut oats, it stood out to me b/c i often have oatmeal at home. coming with roasted pineapple, toasted coconut, allspice butter & honey... it definitely doesn't taste the same i make at home. super duper good to the point i can still taste it over 24 hours later. that allspice butter was the winner, i can taste + smell it in every bite, wasn't overbearing at all. i enjoyed the roasted pineapple, never had the fruit that way before, looked candied & had a nice sweetness to it. we ordered drip coffee, they were making some fresh so instead of us waiting, we were given americanos (which was absolutely fine). the coffee was really strong & had me buzzing. a nice size, i wanna say it was a 12 oz mug. i tried a little of my partner's order, the house tartine & it was pretty good. they had a mango & matcha chia pudding that i want to try & was the other option that gave me a hard time before rolling with the oats. the service was great. i remember the servers name & didn't catch the spelling, he was really on point. all-around enjoyed ourselves & will be back. the same spot where palace cafe used to be at.

Loved the atmosphere--so open and fresh! The waitstaff was amazing and knew so much about the history of the restaurant and dishes which made the experience even better. And, the food was yummy.

When I think of a brasserie, I think of hearty meals. When we came here, I ordered the pork chop which was super hearty. It was a bit heavy but good. My partner had the short rib - he liked it. We ordered the focaccia for an appetizer- it was alright. Probably won't order it again. This upscale, modern place has a relaxed atmosphere with an aesthetic that combines French and New Orleans influences. It's decorated very cute and the service was great. Chef Trevor Tack killed it with this one!

This is a chic and elegant little place for the perfect happy hour! The bartender was so sweet and really loves what he does. We didn't try the food this time, but will definitely be back!

There is an abundance of wine to choose from. Our server was rushed (and they were packed) and I didn't get a lot of direction on the wine so I just ordered a white sampler and just asked for three dry varieties. The first one I tried (Collan) was not dry in my opinion. The Triple was drier but my favorite was the Fume. I really got hints of pinion in this final one and ordered another 5 oz. of it. We tried the avocado bruschetta to start. It was four big pieces of good bread but was more avocado toast than bruschetta. I would probably go with a different appetizer next time. We both tried the burgers. I went with the mushroom-gouda one. It was over done and not seasoned at all. The gouda was nice and gooey and the mushrooms were seasoned well. Fries were OK. The table next to us had a couple of the flatbreads and I would try those next time. Back to the service. It was OK but our server had a tendency to just show up at our table and just stand. I would come back to try more appetizers and a flight of their red offerings. I also want to know more about the winery. Maybe after the busy holidays.

The food was so good we didn't even stop to take pictures, but we had a combination of the Prosciutto Fig, and Goat Cheese Flatbread, Garlic Fries, and the Friday Prime Rib Dinner. Of course, we couldn't visit a wine bar without drinking wine. I had a glass of Dark Desire and ended with the Rockin Raspberry Sangria. Everything was perfect! I can't wait to go back again. It's been a while since I have been here, and I loved all of the holiday decorations!

I ordered the Hunter, which comes with Rabbi's Pastrami, Russian Dressing, Swiss Cheese, and Sauerkraut. Typically this comes on Rye bread, but they'd run out by the time I got there. The Housemade Club was a fine replacement though! This sandwich was so good. The sauerkraut was a 10/10 and the house cured pastrami was extremely flavorful and filling. The sandwich options come in both 6oz and 12oz. I personally think the 6oz was more than enough! Each order comes with a pickle and chips. I ate half of my sandwich right away (amazing) and then half a little later. The pastrami and saurkraut are so juicy that it did make an impact on the bottom piece of bread, BUT I still ate every bite and would still highly recommend. Just keep in mind that it is best when eating soon after you've gotten your food! Either way, you'll need some napkins close at hand.

For us it took a bit to get use to even in the smallish area. It's arranged in a sort of circle -- staff and food in the middle and you walk around it, getting drinks, napkins, silverware, etc. The staff seemed nice enough, opposing other reviews. They gave us menus that we took to a table to look over. It was quite small. I didn't see pastry offerings, but it was our first visit. I want to see signs -- What it is & how much$. I hate it when grocery stores can't get their signage in line with their pricing. Honestly, I don't recall which sandwiches we ordered but we both had their house cured meat. She liked it, I didn't care for it. To me it was like Sunday beef roast on a sandwich. The little shopping area is really cute. We didn't have time that day to poke around. I hope this helps you navigate your visit. It's always a good idea to know what you're getting into. We'll go back, with better knowledge.

We went on a Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. to try this counterpart to Ava June…read more I have to apologize in advance for the lack of photos to go with this review. Much like Ava June, everything is a little funky here--not in a bad way, just different and unique. We started with cocktails; she had her usual Old Fashioned, but ordered it as a "normal", with Makers Mark, I had a glass of chardonnay (subtotal $28). She put her Makers Mark Old Fashioned near the top of the best in town ($2 extra for Makers??). We frequently split meals, so decided to share a Little Gems salad, which was VERY good. There are only a few salads in town that I like as it's just not my thing, but this one was super tasty. For our pizza we went with the limited edition Cubano as I love a good Cuban sandwich and have a tomato allergy. They did a good job of converting a sandwich to a pizza, though I thought the toppings were a little sparse for $22. I would have preferred that the pickles have been chopped into something smaller than the thick slices it came with (so it LOOKED beautiful). The best part for me is that they offer a fresh-made GLUTEN-FREE rosemary dough!!!! It was absolutely THE BEST gluten-free crust I've ever experienced hands down. My wife said that she would order it even though it's g-f. The vibe was just good, pretty crowded with a mix of generations. The space is fairly small and tight, so be prepared for the possibility of sharing a table. So if you followed the math above (which should be easy if you knew me!) it was $65 plus tax and tip, so $100 for a pizza and salad dinner.... Would I go back?? I wouldn't rule it out given the fantastic gluten-free crust, but would likely consider somewhere else that I consider a better value before beating a path back to Lofi.
