    Fried Chicken
    Kelly G.

I love the small size of this restaurant. The food was good. Very creative menu. I had the carrot and ginger soup. I didn't care for it. It was semi warm and it just wasn't what I was expecting. But my father-in-laws wife had it and loved it. So I chose this restaurant because they had fried chicken in the menu. Well, I'm never gonna turn down fried chicken so I ordered it. I included pictures for reference. At first glance I thought they had over cooked it because of its dark color. But as I started eating I realized that they had used a ton of paprika in the batter to give it that dark red amber color. The chicken was good and not overcooked. However, they used a batter for the crust. Much like a Japanese tempura but less garlic. The crust was a hard crunchy shell. The flavor was ok but I just don't care for battered chicken. I also felt like it was cooked too hot. The crust was borderline over cooked but the inside was done. That's just my opinion. They served the chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side. Both just warm and as my meal progressed the gravy was straight up cold. But I was finished so I powered through. To be fair, the fried chicken was the least expensive entree on the menu. But I'm kind of a fried chicken snob so I'm gonna give it a 6 out of 10. I prob would not order it again, but there were some other things on the menu I am excited to try on our next visit.

Service was nice and accommodating. The portion size was large for the money. I feel like everyone in the party employed their meal. There was a rather large bug on the floor and to be honest this sort of put a damper on things.

Came with a friend to avail myself of the $10 fried chicken dinner deal. I have to say that it was crispy and you'd never know it was gluten free unless you knew it was gluten free. I n my opinion, the fried chicken was okay. I'm glad I tried it and got to see what the hype was about, but I don't think I'll get it again. When I've come before I've ordered the crabcakes, soup, salad, deviled eggs, and salmon. In future, I'll probably return to some combination of those as, in my experience, they have been very well prepared. The place was packed and the service was slow, but as long as you come into it knowing that and aren't in a rush, it's not a problem. Just plan on taking a looong time and asking multiple times for anything and everything. Everyone was nice, just not concerned about promptness. [We came in at 6:45 and left at 9:30 - we both knew what we wanted to eat and drink before we arrived and ordered as soon as we sat down] .

There is street parking or a shared lot for valet. It is a small restaurant so reservations for a Friday or Saturday are ideal. Our waiter, Crew, was great. He was friendly, efficient and provided great service. The food is really good. We enjoyed the entire meal. The drinks were good. I tried the Bramble it was light and a perfect refreshing summery drink. The appetizers were all good. The deviled eggs with the bacon were yummy. The crab cake with the spicy sauce was good. I really enjoyed the Caesar salad was excellent. I thought all of the dishes had great presentation. I enjoyed the gluten free fried chicken it was a nice treat as it isn't often you see gluten free fried chicken on a menu. The green beans were cooked well and the fries were crunchy and not super salty. There was no room for dessert but maybe next time.

For certain a Tulsa gem! We love this spot and Bin 35 is consistently excellent. The pork chop is perfectly cooked and is THE BEST pork chop around. The gluten free fried chicken can't be beat. The ambiance is fancy enough for a first date but also comfortably casual. The servers here are solid and Zach will take care of you during lunch.

Bin 35 is wonderful restaurant located in Center 1 in Brookside with parking and a free valet. Not surprisingly there are lots of great wine choices. I was delighted to see an appetizer of deviled eggs and the burger was good as well. This isn't a huge restaurant and even though the ceilings are high you don't hear the other patrons so it feels very cozy.

Embarking on this dining adventure, not a single Yelp review or friend's raving had set the stage--no, it was the dart thrown in the dark by my fiancée that marked the map to this Tulsa culinary oasis. Did we hit the target with this one!? Did we finally find a place that made our hearts sing, palates dance, and a sweet humming melody contrived from delicious foods? No. Oh my dear readers, where is the good food in Tulsa!? I am confident in this, Oklahoma has the best restaurant service in America! Hands down it's better than Texas (especially Texas), New York, and Florida; but the food...ugh...it's where the food saga begins. We ordered the chicken dinner and Bin35 chicken club. Oh those poor, salty birds. Why so salty? When chicken is battered salt is added to the batter. Sometimes other seasonings, in this case, just salt. As chicken dinners are ordered every time it's dipped into the oil for a nice crisp'ng the salt is added to the oil making the oil salty. In turn, the chickens crispy skin gets even more salty. When the chicken is ready it now has twice as much salt as it did before. On the other hand, to change the oil out more often to keep the chicken from being too salty, would cot! The green beans were cooked to perfection yet as unseasoned as a blank canvas in a world craving color. It begged the question: Does the not Tulsa culinary establishments not deserve a few sprinkles of imagination? Then, the mashed potatoes--another side that put our palates to sleep. And then tragedy struck: the Bin35 Chicken Club, a sandwich that promised a symphony but played a single, monotonous note. The avocado helped with memorializing the sandwich. It needed a dressing. And the meat was a reminder of missed opportunities of making a classic truly Tulsas own. So, with a filled stomach like a dilapidated graveyard, and a sad heart, I reluctantly remain hopeful. That in the future Bin35 becomes the booming restaurant that becomes the whirlwind of the culinary world that makes truly delicious food. So, here's to the next adventure, where the only salt we find is on the rim of a margarita glass.

We went to Bin 35 Bistro for a date night dinner recently and had a good experience. The staff were all friendly and the ambiance was great, we loved the music they played there. We started with cocktails: the Mile High and Pear Martini, both tasted very good. For appetizer we tried the deviled eggs with fried oysters and spicy rémoulade. Very tasty with a little kick of heat. We also got a berry beets salad which was refreshing and delicious. The main courses did not disappoint either. We got the beef short ribs and the house filet with Mornay. The short ribs melted in the mouth and the filet was very good as well. The sides of green beans and grits were a nice complement to the short ribs. Overall a good experience and we will definitely be back!

I had my husbands 35th birthday surprise dinner here! They even set us up in a private back room. It was so cool. We started off with the crab cakes - amazing! Everyone ordered a little bit of everything- the fried chicken was top notch. The pork chop was so good my friend almost ate the entire thing. They did run out of steak whichi won't hold against them. I ordered the braised short rib it was soo good! I'm so mad at myself for forgetting my left overs. They even had an assortment of ice cream - salted caramel, pistachio were a few flavors we tried. The bread pudding is what they recommended but the chocolate cake was divine! We will be coming back here!

The service was hit or miss and I had trouble flagging down our server (the other servers and employees studiously ignored me and would not pass on the message despite my best efforts, which was frustrating to say the least). I get that that is (technically) not their job, but the absence of collaboration and teamwork was remarkable. I started with the Beige cocktail which was rich, full-bodied, flavorful, and strong. We nibbled on a variety of bites. Overall, a nice time was had by all.

When we checked in at the host stand, we were given a complimentary glass of champagne to take to our seats. How cool is that? What minimizes the overall rating is their limited menu. Their best items are seafood related, and their only steak on the regular menu (steak frites) was tough and chewy (even on medium). The gnocchi is a red-based sauce versus white cream. You cannot be picky here! Their higher roller menu has a nice Wagyu - 8 ounces for $144. This was the best part. The baked potato with it was cut into thin slices and cooked uniquely, yet tasty. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful with the food and wine lists. Overall, the most impressive part was ALL of the food had incredible flavor. Even for the items I did not care about, the flavors were still fresh and bold. I would go back if someone wanted to, but I'm not craving anything specifically to want to go back either.

We had a reservation but it quickly filled in (I believe there was a show at the Tulsa theater) Our server was super sweet and gave some great dinner and drink recommendations. She recommended the lavender lemon drop and it was fantastic. Followed by drinks we had our bread service. The lemon blueberry butter was absolutely to die for and I have a sad feeling it was a seasonal item. We then ordered The Lobster "Roll" and honestly I loved it. The lobster itself tasted fresh and the sauce that accompanied it was fantastic. Our mains came out and as you can see they were plated beautifully. The pork bell was had such a good flavor and the saffron risotto and bok choy below it were amazing. It was good enough, but maybe not something to write home about. Maybe it was just because we expected a bit more on V Day. There were wine glasses on the table and even though it was dark in there, we could still see stuff on them.
