This has been my weekly go to place for forever, but it has changed not for the better. During a recent meal, the fillet was a really poor piece of meat would hardly cut with a knife. The asparagus was served cold, and the scallop potato was also cold, and just flabby and wet. Both the cocktail menu and the food menu seem stagnant. There hasn't been a change in either in over a year. (Cocktails menu for sure), and PLEASE since you are no longer using gem lettuce and are simply cutting romaine in pieces (with mostly the core) change the name on the menu! read more

This was our first meal stop while in town visiting friends. Our friends go here quite a bit and seem to know some of the staff pretty well. Delicious bin burger (no Brie), calm/fun atmosphere, and friendly/outgoing staff. The fries are addicting. The decor gives an upscale feeling while being a casual place. We came here tonight to celebrate my moms retirement. The location is in Center 1 building, but easy to find and parking was not a problem. Our reservations were a bit early, around 5:30 pm, and so the restaurant was quiet and mostly unoccupied, which provided for a relaxed dinner. However, I will say that as the evening progressed, the restaurant got a bit louder, but the noise level mostly went unnoticed as we were able to still have a conversation without problems. Word of advice: the restroom is located outside with a required code to get in. Our waiter told us the location of the restroom however forgot to mention that we needed a code to get in. So some of of us to walk outside, find restroom, realize we needed a code, walk back inside, take a few minutes of trying to hunt down a staff member to get the code, and then back outside. Kind of annoying but doable. We started with a few appetizers including crab cakes, deviled eggs and the fritz oysters. The crab cakes were the winning appetizer, absolutely delicious and would def order again. Note: only two medium sized crab cakes come with the appetizer, so if you're a party of 3 or more make sure you order more than one. For entrees, a few of us ordered the filet, my sister ordered the sea bass, and I ordered short ribs. I had my 20 month old son with me and ordered him the chicken fingers. I can't complain at all about the entrees, they were all amazing and we ate every last drop. The one downside about dinner is they forgot to put in my sons chicken fingers, so when we got our entrees he didn't have his dinner, and anyone with a toddler knows how difficult it can be to peacefully eat with a hungry and cranky 20 month old. It all worked out though as we all shared some of our food with him until his came out about 10 mins later. For desert we had the bread pudding and the chocolate creme brûlée. The bread pudding was to die for! As far as the creme brûlée, normally I am a big fan but I didn't care for the chocolate. I think I may have found one of my new favorite Tulsa restaurants? Honestly, I wouldn't have even know about it this place if it wasn't for Restaurant Week. I had their pomme frites, sherry dill tomato bisque, and fried chicken (served with mashed potatoes, carrots, and pan gravy). Everything was delicious - only complaints were that the white meat of the fried chicken was a little dry and the carrots could've been cooked a smidge longer. Service was amazing. My best friend (wife) and I made reservations for 5:00pm on a Friday. We arrived 5 minutes early and were immediately greeted by the bartender and shown to our table by the north window. The bartender quickly brought us over two half glasses of champagne because when I made the reservation, I let them know it was her birthday. Waters brought and Heather took our wine order. She had the Great Wave Sauvignon Blanc ($11) and I got the Fortune 1621 Cabernet Sauvignon ($14). We started with the Deviled Eggs ($15) which were very good. We both ordered the Filet ($40) of which both were cooked perfectly. Plates were cleared as we were done with them. She couldn't finish her steak so Heather put it in a to go box. As we finished our meal Heather said since it's your birthday, would you like a desert? She said she'd like the Strausel and Heather brought it out quickly with two spoons so we could share. It came a la mode and was excellent. I mistakenly assumed the dessert was gratis but when we got the check, found we were charged for it ($12). That was my mistake. We didn't come expecting free stuff and probably would have ordered the dessert any way. I tipped over 30% because it was so damn good. We'll definitely be back. read more

If you are gluten free and in need of something different, this is a must! They had gluten free fried chicken with cream gravy and mashed potatoes. I think I asked 3 times if they were sure it was gluten free. So good and crunchy. Also a very large portion. I had the salmon with risotto and it was also very delicious. There is a nice wine menu and they did a great job on the martinis. We were able to have gelato for dessert which also very good. It's always nice to have knowledgeable staff regarding gluten free diets and such a pleasant surprise to see so many fun gf options. read more

The decor is nice, but nothing really awe-inspiring. You have to exit the restaurant and have a code to access the restroom area, then you need a code again to get into the restroom. I think most of the time someone in staff will escort you - which is weird and inconvenient. We tried bin 35 out with friends for restaurant week. For drinks, I had the Moscow mule and the hubby ordered a sapphire tonic and a pear martini. All drinks were good, but it took us a while to receive our first round. It was later volunteered that our ticket had been lost. For an appetizers, the options were deviled eggs with fried chicken on top, a wedge salad, and tomato bisque. No one at our table of five order the wedge salad. The hubby got the tomato bisque and I went with the deviled eggs. Both were delicious! The bisque was a good, creamy consistency and the deviled eggs offered great texture with some sort of caramel used crumble in addition to the small piece of friend chicken on top. On the regular menu, an oyster comes on the deviled egg. For the main course, the options ranked from best to worst were- sea bass, a 10 oz ribeye with truffle fries, & lamb bolognese. The sea bass was light, but still substantial, the truffle fries were the real winner, my ribeye was cooked well and overall just so-so, & the lamb bolognese tasted pretty "stock". Lastly, for dessert, we had chocolate mousse, cinnamon roll bread pudding, and pistachio ice cream. It was a pleasant surprise that the bread pudding came a la mode with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream; otherwise, dessert overall was nothing special. While this wasn't a terrible experience, it also wasn't anything special. There are plenty of other restaurants to try and restaurants to revisit before we'll be back to this one. read more

They say you can predict your overall restaurant experience by the first few staff members you encounter. Well, I was greeted by a very dear female bartender who had such a pleasant and professional attitude. She set a warm and welcoming tone for Bin 35 Bistro. Service was excellent for a busy Friday evening. I ordered the deviled eggs with fried oysters and they were delicious--nicely seasoned deviled eggs with a plump crispy oyster on top. Enjoyed the short ribs as well--tender beef on a cloud of homey mashed potatoes and fried onions, along with cooked sliced carrots. Their wine list is interesting and accessible. Food quality is very good, there is plenty on the menu but a neighborhood gem I wish they would a two or three specials in the evening or at least on weekends. Such a cute little place for a nice dinner in the Brookside area in Tulsa. To start we had the Caesar salad and the deviled eggs with oysters on top. While I myself don't like deviled eggs, my husband thought they were amazing and a must try. The caesar salad was just ok. For main courses, we ordered the pork chop and the braised short ribs. The pork chop was the best pork chop I've ever had at a restaurant. The braised short ribs were lacking in flavor and I would not order that dish again. We finished off the meal with the blueberry bread pudding. The bread pudding part was pretty good, but between the blueberries and the tart cream on top, the dish just wasn't sweet enough (and I'm not a huge sweets person to begin with). Portions were good sized and the service was great. Overall we had a good experience and if I were rating based solely on my husbands choices, I would have given it a higher rating. I am always so very happy when I can write a review for a 5 star event. We went to Bin 35 on the recommendation of another and hadn't read the reviews prior to going. Not normal for me. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Monday night because when calling the restaurant for some instructions, they recommended the reservation. I can see where reservations can help a place plan out their evening and hopefully disappoint fewer people. I am also happy they can are willing to communicate that if you walk in and get a table, that it may be required for a reservation at a certain time and let the walking make the decision as to whether that is enough time. As were were reviewing the pretty decent wine list, we saw chicken dish after chicken dish go past the table. Thus, we had to try the chicken. It was fantastic. In my mind it is genius to take half a chicken cut it into 6 pieces that are exactly the same size and know that they will all cook at the same rate. Our friend chicken came out piping hot with sides of mashed potatoes and gravy and garlic enhanced haricot verts. The dish was stunning both in appearance and balance of taste. Not sure if bread could have been asked for but will do so the next time. Desserts are suggested by the server and described in person rather than a menu. While the menu would let me know the prices, it was nice to have the verbal notes. It turns out we sat in the bar area which is served by the bartender. Heather did a great job and checked in on us just enough. I wish they would rethink their wine pricing. A lot of places have the glass price be a fourth of the bottle price reflecting the amount of wine that I would expect to receive. Here, the glass price is more like a fifth or sixth of the bottle price and it seemed that their pours reflected the price and resulted in a smaller pour. A smaller pour for $8 or more is not a good thing. Also, the taxes on $58 was $10, so that means that the liquor taxes are not included in the menu price. I can understand both sides of this story, but I wish the industry would standardize. They have outdoor seating which would be great when the weather is nice. I couldn't tell if smoking is allowed out there. Hope not. I asked the server what her next choices after chicken would be and she said the salmon and short ribs were very popular. Will have to return for that. I will definitely return. I enjoyed the clientele that they attract and the main room is bright and open. I could see where it might get loud, but we were extremely comfortable. Maybe even a little cold. Not a bad problem. And the food was spectacular. read more

If anyone has celiac disease this is your go to spot! Practically everything on their menu is not only gluten free, but honestly DELICIOUS!!!!! When I telll you! This food was delicious. I had the restaurant week tasting menu. Started with the deviled eggs one with fried chicken and bacon jam, one with a fried oyster. Both were spectacular. Then had the wedge salad-outstanding. Last savory course was the fried chicken and it was honestly some of the best I've EVER had in life on this side of the galaxy. Shared dessert with my friend. Went here for a business lunch. The location is a little tricky, its actually off of 35th street, just east of Peoria. The interior is darling-- light and airy, but it was full! It's a very small space. For lunch I'd like to see a few more "lighter" options. The salads they have on the menu all sound amazing, but I don't like fried chicken salads and the steak salad sounded a bit much, but a caprese wouldn't have done it. I ended up just ordering the salmon entree, which was unfortunately $18, but the biggest portion of salmon I have ever seen-- I couldn't even finish it. Even the server admitted I got lucky, but it was served on a vegetable quinoa salad, which didn't have much flavor, but the salmon was perfect. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful, though they did take a while to bring our check/receipt. I always love it when servers will offer you a drink to go--its a nice touch especially in the summer heat! Overall, I will be back, if nothing else I just want to sit at the bar and enjoy the ambiance-- and maybe a crab cake next time. Great new addition to Tulsa! read more

They are very similar to The Hen Bistro that was there before. Same menu, staff, etc. but I hear that that will change with time. The frosted pear martini is great and they have fried chicken for 10 dollars on Mondays. A great spot for a drink or dinner in the heart of brookside. read more

Bin 35 is a Re-Do of the HEN that occupied this space for a while. We arrived at Bin 35 Friday evening about 5:00pm and had drinks while awaiting the rest of our party. Long story short: Food was very, very good. Servers were attentive and not intrusive. Very helpful explaining daily specials. 4 Stars for Food and Service. Will probably not return, though. 1 star for everything else. Very, Very loud! Too loud. Sound was consistently above 90 db and frequently peaked at 106db. Conversation is at the Yell level. For the prices, I would expect more ambiance. Those sound levels exceed OSHA standards. In any other situation, serious ear protection would be required. As comparison, the sound levels reach and exceed those of flight line at the airport, lawnmower, skill saw, etc.! (I mentioned this to owner before leaving...she said she was not aware) Restroom is locked and you gotta ask for the key. Wait Staff then escorts you to the RR (which is in another building...glad it wasn't raining). Admittedly, the locked RR may be temporary if it's being abused by transients, etc. The RR was clean. The atmosphere is very modern and cheerful . They have patio set up for outdoor dining and have inside dining which accommodates social distancing. A must try in Brookside. read more
