So my wife and I decided to eat here for New Year's eve. We had been here before, and we were familiar with the restaurant and its offerings. We had early reservations so it was a bit empty when we got there, but it soon totally filled up with customers. Carter was our server and he did a great job. We started off with martinis, mine a Grey Goose and hers a Chambord flavored vodka martini - both perfect. We then ordered the chicken/bacon jam deviled eggs which we had never had before, and they proved to be quite a pleasant surprise. Next, for our entre, she ordered the salmon ($28) and I order the garlic herbed roasted chicken ($24). They brought her a very generous portion of salmon and then, to my shock, they brought my roasted chicken with 4 asparagus spears. I say 'shock', because the chicken portion (one thigh) was miniscule! It was actually no bigger than a deck of cards. I thought, that's it? for $24 dollars? My wife felt so bad that she shared her salmon with me. (On the other occasions we had visited there, I never received that small of a portion of anything for my entre.) In retrospect, I should've sent it back and ordered something different. I regret that I didn't take a picture of it, as it was ridiculous how small it was. I will say that the flavor was excellent, but it took only 3 or 4 bites to eat the whole thing. I got the impression that I had just been gouged when it came to portion size vs cost, because it was New Year's eve. This was a disappointment as the other times we had eaten there were error-free. I then ordered the bread pudding which came with a scoop of vanilla gelato and a large strawberry - it was excellent as well. We will go back, but I will never order that roasted chicken entre again. read more

The service and atmosphere were great, but the food was rather disappointing. My husband had the carrot and ginger soup, which was flavorlessly bland. I had the sherry dill bisque, which wasn't bad, but my expectations were much higher. The herb roasted chicken tasted similar to something a daycare would make out of frozen patties, almost inedible. I highly recommend NOT ordering the chicken. My husband has the sea bass, which was less frozen daycare meal like. Not bad, but not $38 worth of greatness. Maybe $20. The only complaint on the exceptional service was the hostess pretty much stood (rather, leaned) against the bar almost the entire time were were there, chewing her gum like a horse. Have you ever been so hot or cold at a restaurant that nothing about the food mattered because you couldn't enjoy it? That's what our dinner was like tonight. We eat here with some frequency, but almost always at the bar, where it is a bit cool, but bearable. Tonight we brought some friends we hadn't seen in years. What a disappointment! Our table was located right under an air vent that was blasting cold air into the room. The young people at the table next to us were very obviously cold, but were too timid to talk to anyone about it. Look at the body language, people!! We asked if the temperature could be turned up, and were told that they would try. It was apparently turned up a few degrees, but nothing that was noticeable. Apparently this unit cools the entire restaurant, and if you're sitting right under it--too bad. Think about it--it's 100 degrees outside, so you're wearing summer clothing, then you come into this place that's so cold that you can't feel your toes after awhile if you're wearing sandals. The wait staff is not sympathetic. They just look at you like you're a whiner. The truth is, it doesn't matter how good the food or service is or isn't if you are too cold to enjoy it. Had I been warm enough, I would have stayed for dessert and/or an after dinner drink. Oh, P.S. there is nothing French about this place, so if it's French cooking you seek, this isn't it. Lastly, their restrooms are outside of the restaurant and require either a code or an escort to get in. Tip to management--spend some money on a decent HVAC system that adequately heats and cools your facility. Don't make patrons suffer because your kitchen staff is hot. Restaurants everywhere manage to get this right. You are not one of them. read more

Bin 35 is a very nice surprise! I have walked by many times and finally decided to try for dinner one night. The food and service were wonderful! Very creative and flavorful options. A very classy place, but I brought my 2 year old and they were quite welcoming. Loved the jumbo lump crab cakes- you can tell they are super fresh and mostly crab, the carrot and ginger soup- the coconut gelato topping is such a fantastic addition, and the grilled asparagus salad. This will be a nice place to take out of town guests. read more

Love the new remodel and re-brand which is what got me in the door but not sure if I'd return. Attentive service (which is always nice) but would have liked my food more if it had come out hot. I got the roasted winter veggies and I know they're hard to keep warm but they were under cooked and soggy as well as lukewarm. The requested bread service was lackluster as well. Nothing would really call me back to try it again. read more

In a word...delicious! It's been so long since I've had a really tasty experience. Seems like every supposedly 'great' restaurant we've been to has either been OK or really dissapointing. Imagine my surprise to find this little gem tucked around the corner off Peoria and 35th. I was treated to a birthday lunch by my cousin and SIL who had raved about Bin 35 Bistro. Our waiter was prompt, friendly and very knowledgable about the menu. He did not steer us wrong. From the deviled egg appetizers (that have a delicious fried oyster on top), to the amazing, unbelievably crispy, juicy fried chicken with the yummy glazed carrots and mashed potatoes and gravy, to the grilled salmon with roasted summer vegetables and quinoa...it was all amazingly good! Even our coffee was outstanding. The restaurant is light and airy and yet cozy. The prices are not the cheapest, but when the food is this good, it is worth it. I have learned through my own experiences that Mondays are often hit and miss days for restaurant quality... but this Monday, Bin 35 Bistro was a big hit out of the park for me. read more

We went here a few weeks ago. I was completely underwhelmed. The ambiance is great, as is the location. The service was good as well. It's the value for the money that was questionable. My husband ordered the fried chicken. It was okay, but not worth the money. I ordered the mustard-glazed pork chop. I honestly tasted nothing but mustard. It was truly overwhelming, though the risotto was fabulous. Again, it just wasn't worth the money. We also decided to split a dessert. Unfortunately the desserts at this restaurant are not meant to be split as they are very small. Based on the reviews I was expecting a lot. I hate it when expectations so greatly eclipse reality. read more

I think if the prices were lower, I'd have given this place 4 stars, but for what you get I'm just not sure I'd return. I ordered a couple of glasses of wine that were $10 each, pretty typical... and the Halibut that was $36. I know that Halibut runs expensive of course, but it was accompanied by risotto... that was it... and my fish was overcooked and on the dry side. Another person at the table ordered lamb medium rare and it came out overcooked as well. However, I did sample the short ribs and they were fantastic as were the two craft cocktails ordered at the table. I wish I had a better experience because I love the atmosphere in that outdoor area... if I go back, I'll probably get an appetizer and one of their fantastic craft cocktails and safe a heavier meal for somewhere with a little more bang for the buck. read more

Really delicious. We went for Restaurant Week and loved all the things we tried, especially the deviled eggs - SO good! The sauce for my Oscar-style sea bass was great and the bread pudding on-point. My husband enjoyed all three of his courses as well. Will definitely return! read more

A great deal is their monday night fried chicken at 1/2 price. its as good as you've ever eaten! You don't expect fried food in a classy restaurant like Bin 35. All the food is served with good presentation and is tasty. Good date spot or couples .Probably leave the kids at home. read more

Delicious meal with my young adult daughter. Started with carrot ginger and tomato bisque soups. Both outstanding. Salmon was delicious, fried chicken tasty. Desserts beautiful presentation...chocolate mousse cheesecake unique with pecan crust and coffee whipped cream. Server Hannah was professional and exceptional. I wish we could give this place more than 5 stars. We enjoyed every aspect of Bin 35 Bistro. The best part (besides the food) was that we never felt rushed. We had deviled eggs with fried chicken, split a wedge salad, and split the short ribs. All the portions were perfect and they split everything in the kitchen. Drinks were delicious and even when we said we preferred our martini a little dirtier, the waiter brought more olive juice and poured it in for us. I would recommend this place to any friend visiting Tulsa for the first time. read more

We enjoyed our evening at Bin 35. However, we were expecting authentic French cuisine and were shocked at the limited selection of dinner entrees that were actually French. There wasn't fresh bread at the table even though bread plates were on the table. The restaurant offered a good variety of wines. The atmosphere was pleasing but not different than any other similarly priced restaurants. I wasn't impressed and probably will not go back. read more

We are officially customers for life! My husband and I wanted to try something new; I'm not sure why we hadn't made it over to Bin 35 yet but so glad we made it tonight! Every single course we had was absolutely fantastic. We had the mussels, lamb bolognese, burger and a couple of salads, everything was perfection! But the even bigger standout was the service. We were seated near the bar and enjoying our appetizer when suddenly, we had a call from our alarm company and my husband had to rush out. I asked for all of our remaining food to be boxed so I could head home as well. The staff was MORE than accommodating and helpful. Heather, who was tending the bar and waiting on our table, was trying to get our food out faster and even came over to talk with me and check to see how I was doing while waiting to hear what was happening at home. There was another woman with short blond hair, who I think may have been the owner or manager, was also extremely helpful and kind. I cannot say enough to compliment this establishment on their professionalism and customer service, we cannot wait to come back! read more

Tulsa has a true gem, hidden right below your nose in the heart of Brookside. Comfortable surroundings, soothing/current music, friendly staff, and we haven't even gotten to the food. Crab cakes, fried oyster topped deviled eggs (winner of Taste of Brookside), grilled salmon, and fried chicken were ordered between two visits and none of them left us wanting for anything but more. They have summer sangria that is a refreshing way to pair your meal. Come with hunger and an expectation of a wonderful meal and you shall not be disappointed. I am still thinking about the amazing pork chop I enjoyed here a few nights ago, and my oh my, those deviled eggs as an appetizer. What do they do to make them so irresistible?! The wine list is great, the menu small but satisfying. The short ribs over polenta is a stand out choice, as is the fried chicken. Brussels Sprouts, oh my! My husband always raves about the salmon. Friendly professional staff, valet parking, beautiful fresh décor, and you see all your neighbors over the course of an evening. Doesn't get any better than that! read more

Searching for a new spot in town and was pleasantly surprised with our experience at Bin 35. Lovely setting, great wine list and excellent service, not to mention the beautiful presentation of all dishes. Over half of the menu was gluten free, a nice surprise for one in our party. Our table had the salmon and zucchini fritters, crab cakes, summer grilled vegetables, and lamb bolognaise, all of which we agreed were great. We will definitely be returning to this neighborhood gem soon! read more

We had lunch today and it was fantastic! My husband had the Chicken Club sandwich and it was delirious! I had the Crispy Chicken salad and it was very good! Nice low key atmosphere! Definitely a new spot for us! read more
