This is a hidden gem in Tulsa. Very high end, luxurious and welcoming at the same time. I had the 7 oz filet and the other guests had salmon with blackened asparagus . And the other guest had wague steak and Brussels sprouts with a wedge salad . The blue cheese was impressive but not as impressive as the desserts. The silk pie was heaven on a plate and silky smooth. The key lime pie was amazingly tart and scrumptious. Don't skip the coffee at the end, it's a great end to a wonderfully sweet finish of the desserts. Waiters were attentive and helpful in selection. You won't be disappointed. Jimmy's Chophouse invites you in with a classic interior of dark wood, leather, and low, warm lighting. Upon arriving at my table, I was offered still and sparkling water to drink and my server was very attentive to my needs and kept both of my water glasses full. I ordered the chicken piccata. The chicken picatta came with a generous helping of three pieces of chicken served with a buttery pan sauce and capers alongside whipped potatoes. The chicken was excellently cooked and was tender and moist with ever-so-slightly crisped edges. The sauce was tangy and the capers added a bite that worked perfectly with it on a way that really made the chicken piccata shine as a dish. The whipped potatoes did not have a lot of flavor on their own, but meshed well with the pan sauce. At the conclusion of the meal, the check came with an Andes mint. When a server finally appeared 6-7 minutes in, she was curt taking our drink order, then disappeared entirely. After 20 minutes with no further contact, we walked out. We went straight to Fleming's. After visiting for dessert last week, I returned to Jimmy's Chophouse for dinner yesterday. Arriving on time for my 5:15 reservation, I was promptly seated in the dim and moody room and given a glass of Mountain Valley Still Water (free of charge) with the menu. Once I had a few minutes to browse the menu and ask the server a few questions, which he willingly answered, I ordered the chicken piccata for dinner, which is served with whipped potatoes and covered with pan sauce and capers. Despite there being a light crowd, it took about thirty minutes for dinner to be delivered. However, the wait was worth it. The chicken piccata was an excellent choice. The two large pieces of chicken were tender and filling. The pan sauce was buttery and rich, and the capers added a contrasting salty flavor to the sauce. The potatoes were described as whipped; however, they arrived nearly as grits. While this was unexpected, I still enjoyed them. After finishing this meal, I will absolutely order it again. As the evening continued, the restaurant became more filled, so later arrival times would definitely benefit from a reservation. Perfect night and perfect food! We went for Valentine's Day it was a night to remember. The restaurant its self is perfectly intimate with a moody interior.Our reservation was at 4:30 and we were literally the first people there lol. Our server was super sweet but I did have to explain what a Southside Cocktail was which is ok. We started with the lobster rolls and truly I could eat 10 orders of these. I got the French onion soup and my date got the Caesar and both were very delicious. We then spilt the steak and Mac and cheese and both were lovely! We came here for the first time for my fiances birthday. We have been interested in trying this place for a while now and we picked the right moment to visit. We ordered the Jimmys Chop and the Icelandic Salmon. Both dishes were very good and cooked timely. The service was great and we never felt overwhelmed or undervalued. We visited Jimmy's Chophouse for the first time on Mother's Day. They were serving a brunch menu, which had a couple of special brunch dishes and a small selection of items from their regular menu. When we first walked in, the server wasn't very friendly, but she walked us to our table quickly. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful; they did a great job with the design and decor. It wasn't very crowded, and our server came right away to give us water and take our drink orders. We ordered as soon as our drinks came, but we waited and waited and waited for our food. I don't know if they had a different staff in the kitchen or the brunch menu items threw them off or what, but it was such a long wait. When we finally got our food, I saw them taking bread to other tables. That would at least held us over while we were waiting, but we weren't offered anything. The food was great--they know how to cook a steak well. We got the steak frites, the prime rib, and the quiche. All of it was delicious. After our main meals, we ordered a slice of coconut cake to split and asked for coffee. They only had decaf, which was a bummer and seemed a little odd since we were at brunch. Overall, I thought it was a good meal, and I wouldn't say no if someone suggested going back there, but I'd probably be more likely to try a new restaurant in Tulsa. read more

First thing, coming in was confusing. The main door had a sign that said you were to use the side door. There was nobody at the host stand and it felt like they didn't notice we came in as this door is hidden behind a wall and servers or staff were sitting at the end of the bar talking. After a couple of minutes we were sat. The ambiance was quite nice, real candles on every table and dimmed lighting give the space a great private feel. Good romantic feel, or business meeting. Not good for pictures definitely. The menu is a little oversized, almost like holding a newspaper but its quiet nice, easy to read. All options look great but I did know I came for a steak. My choice is something I saw online and it was not on the menu. A cowboy cut ribeye steak which came slightly overcooked. I requested medium rare and received a medium. Cowboy is not a hard steak to cook, I was a bit disappointed because for a $105 dollar steak I expected perfection. All sides cost extra, I got the asparagus, I know it sounds common and simple but they were the best asparagus I've ever had. Sitting on lemon-butter sauce, they were amazing. I came here in a party of two and the other entree was the chicken piccata. It was perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious. The whipped potatoes were some of the best I've tried because of course we shared each other's food a little bit. The service was good once we were at the table. We were visited often, our cups stayed full. Fully deserving of praise for sure. Do not have many pictures as the ambience is dark and to be mindful I did not dare take pictures with flash on so the pictures are pretty dark. But I hope you can enjoy them somewhat. I made a reservation for Jimmy's Chophouse about a week in advance. It was our first time to eat at this restaurant, and we are so glad we tried it out (so if you haven't been, then you must go!) We arrived inside the restaurant and were greeted by the hostess. I immediately noticed the lovely wine rack as I strolled to the table. I had requested a booth and that is where we were seated. Great start to our date night dinner! Then wee ordered drinks and the server brought out the complimentary relish tray. We loved the uniqueness of the relish spread. In fact, I don't think I have been to another restaurant that did that (and we have been to quite a few nice steakhouses across the U.S.). We then ordered the meatball appetizer. The meatball was delicious (and huge)! For our entrees, we had the bacon wrapped filet with a baked potato and the Chilean sea bass. Both were excellent! And although we were full, I couldn't help but get a piece of the coconut cream pie to go (and so glad I did!) It was probably in my top 2 of coconut cream pies anywhere....creamy pie filling, crispy crust, and light on the whipped topping. Just so good!! Service and ambiance is a definite FIVE. We had a reservation but got there a bit early. The hostess told us no problem and was very welcoming. We did sit at the bar while our table was readied. Bartender was friendly and quickly tabbed us out when our table was ready. I loved the white jackets that every server wore. It just added to the old-school feel of this place. (We've been binging on "Billions" recently so I really felt like I was in an old NYC establishment.) The relish tray is a great touch and the spicy cheese dip is amazing. It's just the perfect amount. We tried the Caesar and the chopped salad. I would order the chopped salad again but note that it comes with Thousand Island dressing. (Another old school nod.) We also tried the KC strip and the veal chop. I was warned that the veal chop was HUGE. It was. I ate about a quarter of it. It's accompanied by spaghetti Pomodoro which was amazing. In fact, I would try a pasta offering on our next visit. The steak was good but not the best ever but the service and vibe made up for it. Every time we come into town we go to Jimmy's. IRS been one of our favorite places, until last night unfortunately. We had a big group of 10-all family. Big, loud, happy family...we had just come from my daughter in laws baby shower. To make a long story short, John (says he's the GM) is probably one of the most disrespectful and unprofessional people I've ever met. We sat down for our reservation at 7:30 and ordered drinks. About 20 minutes later we ask about said drinks. He comes to the table, and wants to argue. Literally says I have y'all being here like 10 minutes. It was very weird that he would just approve and immediately want to argue. Then, my grandson who is 3, was at the end of the table and another family member that couldn't be there wanted to FaceTime with him. So JOHN comes over and says we don't allow that. My daughter in law asked politely "you don't allow what"? He said FaceTimes calls or calls on speaker. Again weird but we didn't say anything rude to him. So a couple of drinks arrive, we had to ask about th other drinks we ordered. He came out and sat a bottle of wine on the table, not in a chiller or anything just sat it in the table. At this point we are still missing drinks but we decide to order. So I don't know how much time has passed but out of all 10 of us, I get a salad so I begin to eat it. JOHN comes over to the table, bends down by my husband and says "hey these drinks and salad are on me but y'all need to leave". We are all shocked. As a matter of fact none of us thought we heard him correctly. During this conversation another waiter said they've been having negative reviews and issues since he start. We kind of all were still just sitting there in shock and he said, in the most condescending tone "I can call the police if y'all don't want to leave on your own" so we get up and head to the door. Mind you-he practically runs to the door so he can personally hold it for us so he can saying something unpleasant and unprofessional to all of us as we walk out. By this time tempers are high, we are all hungry, my grandson is starving and he doesn't understand what's happening. He said we were all drunk which couldn't be more wrong. I also want to point out this guy looked like he's been dipped in grease. Dirty t shirt and pants but yet still says he's the GM. He was absolutely the furthest thing from professional-which is surprising for this restaurant and the whole McNellies group in general. He was also very rude to the other employees and and by kicking us out-took away substantial tip money from the waiters working our table. We would defintely go back if John was gone, but won't ever go back again as long as he's working there. Our family didn't deserve to be treated like that. read more

My husband and I tried out Jimmy's Chophouse for our last date night and were impressed. I had the Grilled Icelandic Salmon and my husband had the 8oz filet. Both entrees were cooked to perfection. We had mashed potatoes and asparagus for our sides - both were solid options. However, I think the favorite part of the meal was our appetizer, the Giant Meatball and Red Sauce. The marinara was amazing and the lemon ricotta really brought the entire dish together - we would go back for this dish alone! I decided to come here for my birthday and booked a room event. I will say the place looks wise is great! I purposely went here for the dim lighting for pictures. I had a table of 12. I would say service wise, the flow throughout the night was stagnant. Drinks that needed to be filled weren't noticed, bringing out checks and the cake had been pretty much be narrated. Everything seemed like as the customer I had to lead what happened, no leading questions were asked. Not really smooth. My food was good (I ordered the Tuscan salmon) but I noticed anyone that ordered fries, was cold. My partner ordered lamb chops , they were rubbery so they asked for a different dish. They decided on the chicken Alfredo. That dish ended up being pasta with pasta water. No seasoning and no Alfredo. Another guest ordered the burger and not very tasty and heavily loaded with sauce on top. Maybe the experience with just getting a drink at the bar is better but as a black woman paying for a separate room to be serviced, I did not feel the hospitality here. But I would say the employees did validate our feelings towards the food, just the execution of the food wasn't there. Sitting at the bar for snacks or a meal is always a good experience. Last time I got there during Happy Hour and had a Freezer Door martini. It was great! They have both food and drink specials, but I don't know the details. Everything is always cooked perfectly and the service is always kind. My tip? Go split the meatball as an appetizer with a friend or split the burger with a chopped salad for more of a meal. read more

Steak was over cook and lacking flavor. It was all "just ok". Ultimately, not worth the money. Services: 3 star. Nothing special. Did her job. No real engagement with the table. When I mentioned the music being loud her response was "that's just the way it is". Which surprised me. Nice though. Just not a top level server as I have seen and been served by those. Made reservations at the request for hubby's birthday. Before I drill down on our actual "food" experience I can share that the service was EXEMPLARY. Start to finish. For appetizers we had the focaccia & the coconut shrimp. Very nice. Nothing AMAZING but still very good. Dinner: 2 of us got the ribeye 1 lamb chops 1 filet Both ribeyes were cooked to desired doneness but they were so very tough. We felt like we had to saw through them. The mashed potatoes were good. The filet was a nice size, but not anything tender to point to the "filet" Husband didn't care for his baked potato, this is a shocking one as it's a favorite. Lamb chops were good. The "creamed spinach" was not creamy. It was thin on the plate, covered in cheese that was hard. We needed a knife to cut through them. Just strange. The best part of the meal was a gratis chocolate cake slice for my husband's birthday and it was delicious. (I don't even like that usually!). This said, while we will not go back - as we have had many steaks elsewhere that were way above! Price point was as expected, but definitely way too much for the quality. We ordered the crab cakes (didn't take a picture because we were hungry!) split a large ceaser salad..we got a few drinks, Tomato Basil Gimlet, Freezer Martini, Barrel Aged Old fashion..all reasonably priced, our main course was a toss up between a ribeye and chops or some fish... Did the USDA 16oz ribeye and loaded baked potato and Chilean Sea Bass...both were cooked very well. It was an expensive meal and it was very disappointing. Our waiter was largely absent the entire time. It took an extremely long time to order drinks at the beginning after we were seated. We ordered small filets, cooked medium well, and they were both overly well done. Nobody asked how they were and neither of us finished them even though they were small. We finally had to flag down another server to take our credit card at the end of the meal. No one offered dessert or coffee, which was disappointing because it was a birthday meal. Parking for this location is street parking or there is a lot behind the restaurant which is pretty full on Fridays and Saturday nights. There isn't a valet option. Dim lighting provides some ambiance. We sat at the bar as there was an hour wait for a table. The bar staff was quick to take and serve drink orders, it took a bit longer to take food orders. My husband enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass and said the grilled asparagus was excellent. I got the 7 oz filet cooked medium but it was a little tough and not tender as I had expected. The crispy Brussel sprouts were yummy and if you get the baked potato you can take the little pieces at the bottom of your Brussel sprouts and drizzle it over your baked potato, you can thank me later. read more

We got to the restaurant a little earlier than our reservation so we were told there would be a wait, because no tables were available. But after a little while a table became available. One of the first things I noticed was just how loud it was inside the restaurant. I mean loud conversations coming from all directions. And that was because there were a lot of tables in the restaurant! But there were so close to one another I heard very clearly all the conversations going on around me. And it was absolutely freezing in the restaurant! I ordered the ribeye steak and my wife ordered the roasted chicken. After what I, along with the table next to me, considered a very long wait to get our food, the foods arrived. The plate itself was hot but the food wasn't. The steak was supposed to be medium but was overcooked the baked potato had very little butter... my wifes plate had undercooked asparagus, chicken with little to no flavor but a mountain of mashed potatoes... We both agreed that we could have done so much better at home. So this is a been there done that for me... and no, no pictures... For a beautiful steakhouse, the food was amazing and the ambiance. However, our waitress, Savannah not so amazing. She didn't seem too engaging with us. My husband wanted an old fashioned drink, but she only acknowledged 3/4 of the table. I received a beautiful main course, chicken with sauce, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The plate was half full with the sauce. It was very messy. However, I couldn't eat the whole plate. I told Savannah, I would prefer not to have the sauce in my to go plate. She packed it up anyway. Just came for dinner (Sept 8) to celebrate my son's birthday. We showed up at 10:30 pm (because of a HS football game) and they close at 11. I apologized but our server was super cheery and enthusiastic despite the late dinner. All our dishes came out promptly and was delicious. The steaks are Pittsburgh style, the way I like it. Love how your steak comes with either a baked potato, fries, or mashed potatoes. It's kind of annoying when you pay $54 for just the steak. Yes, I'm aware I'm not the most high class, sophisticated customer, but I personally don't enjoy having to order everything a La carte. Anyway, I loved the service and the atmosphere.... Jimmy's Chophouse is everything Bull in the Alley should be. Easy to get into, although it's busy. The wa& drink glasses stay full. It only took about 8 minutes for the steak compared to hours. I honestly thought my steak was better than the steak I had for my birthday at Bull in the Alley. The steak comes with a side. The sides were not as good as the sides at the Bull in the Alley. The desserts didn't seem as nice as Bull in the Alley's, but I saved 2hrs & the steak was noticeably better IMHO. read more
