Dude of extra toast to go with étouffée. (Small!)
    Cheryn K.

This restaurant was almost perfect imo! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is, it's a bit expensive for lunch. We ordered 2 lunch menu entrees that were $14-$15 each, 2 cokes and 1 dessert. Our total was over $70 with a 30% tip. With that said... The meal was delicious. I had the blackened redfish and shrimp, and my daughter had Shrimp étouffée, which she absolutely loved. She also had a side of garlic bread bc the slice that comes with it is tiny. We also ordered the bananas foster crème brûlée for dessert. It's a little small but maybe we felt that way because OMG it was fabulous! They weren't busy at all but the service was perfect! We loved the guy that helped us because he gave us excellent advice on what to order since this was our first visit! I also ordered another étouffée to go for my husband and he also loved his meal! (Not part of the $70+ bill, Before tip it came to $20 with tax. So, like I said , pricy but delish!

Taking my wife to get some Etouffe we visited the Red Door Grille. I found the setting clean kitschy and modern. The server was professional and friendly. I expected good food from an upscale Cajun point of view. Being very spice adverse I opted to order a burger with an appetizer that might hint at the Canadian origins of the cuisine...poutine. Our order of poutine came with shredded short rib. The poutine was an elevated version of the dish with a respectable red wine Demi glacé worthy of a good French restaurant in Quebec.. The shredded short rib was tender and flavorful. The burger was a good quality version of a little thinner than I had hoped but I can't complain about it at all. I dislike when restaurants put seasoning blends on the French fries. Fortunately the Red Door Grille got it right. Their seasoning did not overpower the fries. Leave it to spice adverse me to focus on the more French origins of the cuisine but I was satisfied with the quality of the food and excellent service at the Red Door Grille. I highly recommend it for Cajun/ creole done with a modern take.

So this place did not disappoint. Was a bit slow to sit and for food but was so worth it! The wife nabbed the shrimp basket and this is how you do shrimp. The fried okra was off the chart good and the po boy coulda used some more dressing but the shrimp stole the show there, and maybe the pickle. But what was off the chart was the gumbo. Just the right amount of spice, rice and chunky meats. No matter what you have to get the apple bread pudding. It's so damn good and not good for you. Glad we went for lunch hoping to come back and check some other items out. Service was great and didn't bug us too much and I loved all the pictures hanging on the wall.

The word needs to get out on this awesome place! My husband and I went for a quick dinner on the recommendation of friends. We love hole in the wall authentic places. Their Cajun food is so good! I started out with a cup of tomato bisque soup-great flavor! My husband got the macaroni and cheese with shrimp-it was rich and creamy and awesome. It was a big serving so he took half home. I ate my whole meal-I couldn't stop! I got the shrimp etouffee. The flavor was incredible. Our waiter Dave Matthews was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again soon, there were so many items on the menu that we want to try. Their bar looks really fun! My husband had an old fashioned and it was really good. Come try Red Door and tell friends!

We made a reservation for 5:30 before seeing a show at the Bricktown Comedy Club which started at 7. We were seated promptly and ordered drinks and the Parmesan Artichoke Dip. Unfortunately, we ordered off of the Happy Hour menu before noticing they had changed HH from 6 pm end to 5 pm end, so nothing was discounted. Our fault for not double checking. The drinks took a little longer than expected but the server was good to stay in touch without hovering. When we got the hurricane, the blue lagoon and the old fashioned, all three of us noted that the drinks were pretty stout. The Hurricane was a light pink color, kind of cloudy, not what I'm used to in a hurricane but it tasted good. The dip appetizer was very good, served with pita triangles that had been lightly grilled to warm them and give them a really nice bite. We ordered our meals right before our app came out, so timing was pretty on par. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but I will note that the rice my shrimp was on top of was a little underdone and my asparagus was barely warm even though the bowl sitting next to it was HOT. The prep line may have plated the asparagus a little too early before the shrimp were ready. As far as atmosphere, I think the really mixed wall art was meant to be interesting and eclectic but it was more distracting and just not my taste. Overall, there are other dishes I want to try, so we will definitely be back. Nothing was so off-putting that we wouldn't go back.

Lots of things lurk behind the Red Door: good Cajun/American food, artsy wall decors, friendly staffs, and MY KRYPTONITE. Walked inside and got seated right away. Waitress came over and said "You look good." Was it my bow tie? Was it my awesome shirt? Right then and there, I knew this was going to be 5 stars and everything else didn't matter at this point, not the food, not the service, and definitely not the ambiance. I loved the chicken & andouille gumbo. I thought White River Fish Market had the best gumbo, but this was even better. The flavor, the spices; everything was on point. The gumbo was much better than their popular entree, the sweet bourbon glazed pork chops. The glazed pork chops looked amazing but were a little dry. Also, they could use more of the glazed flavor which was barely on the surface, let alone marinated inside. Mashed potatoes were good but the green beans...ALL THE STEMS NEED TO BE REMOVED. Is Red Door Grille 5 stars? Based on the food alone, it's a resounding "NO." It's a great restaurant, don't get me wrong, but not 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the service and ambiance for sure. For those that have managed to get to the end of this review and still haven't figured out MY KRYPTONITE behind the Red Door, it was the compliment. See how a simple compliment can get a restaurant better ratings, maybe even 5 stars.

I have been wanting to try Red Door Grille for awhile. I really like the atmosphere with the art on the walls. The hush puppies came recommended by our waiter. They did not disappoint. They were amazing and the paired well with the butter. For entrees, we tried the Mac & cheese with shrimp, the chicken & fries, the red fish, and the salmon salad. The shrimp had excellent flavor. The fries were perfectly seasoned. I was not the biggest fan of the salmon salad though. It sounded amazing on the menu but the flavors just did not blend together as well as I had hoped. Service was phenomenal. Our waiter was very attentive and did an amazing job. We will be back to try different menu items soon.

wow, what a delicious place to stop in and eat at! We loved our time and our food at Red Dood, let's dive in... FOOD : I got the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The seasoning on the chicken and how they blackened it tasted amazing, it wasn't too greasy at all and the chicken wasn't rubbery or fake tasting. I got a side of veggies and those were lovely as well. My grandpa got red beans and rice and man, those were awesome! Definitely could tell it's something they take their time making. Would for sure recommend that! My mom got the chicken & andouille sausage over rice and loved it. She said that it was seasoned perfectly and it was t too heavy. The sausage gave great flavor and she really enjoyed it! SERVICE / AMBIANCE : Our service was ok but the guy who i think owned it was super nice. The ambiance is very contemporary and modern but overall pretty cool, i love the art they have. great spot, would totally come back here if we were back in tulsa!

This is my second time here and it's truly so amazing! Both times I've gotten the garlic chicken andouille which is perfectly flavored. Our waitress Brittany was amazing AND hilarious, she told my boyfriend and I to save room for the caramel apple bread pudding with ice cream and it didn't disappoint one bit! 10/10

Do they have a Happy hour?

Yes, but check the time on the table card. It was previously a 6 pm cutoff and we found out (after ordering last time) that it was a 5 pm cutoff, so we paid full price for apps and drinks.

The service was fantastic, the drinks were on point, and the food was incredible. We tried a little bit of everything: alligator, crawfish, pork chop, voodoo chicken, sandwiches, gumbo, and dessert--and every single dish delivered. The cocktails were consistently excellent across the board as well. Overall, we had a really great experience and couldn't have been happier. We'll definitely be back on our next visit--especially to finally try the surf and turf. Thanks, Nola's!

The shrimp were tiny and the sandwich was covered with a sauce I didn't like. It should have occurred to me that the fried green tomatoes might also be Cajun. We don't like Cajun but thought the sandwiches might not have all the Cajun seasoning. We should have asked. Another lady at the table got the same thing and she didn't like hers, either. She did ask for ranch dressing for the fried green tomatoes. I followed suite. It did make the tomato's easier to eat but they still were not good. We only got 3 slices each and didn't finish them. I left almost all of my sandwich. I broke off a piece of the bread hoping it might be a good rich bread that I could nibble on. No luck. My husband ordered crawfish étouffée. He said it wasn't warm and tasted like it had been under a heat lamp too long. It was also salty and he has to watch his sodium. He left nearly all of it. One couple ordered voodoo chicken and smashed potatoes. They liked it and ate it all. One person got a chicken sandwich that he said was good. The 2 children got hamburgers and Mac and cheese. They loved the Mac and cheese but barely ate any of the burgers. Their grandmother took a bite of one of the burgers and said it was good. She took the burgers home for the kids. They put the gratuity on the check without telling us. My husband was about to add a gratuity but his sister noticed it was already added and stopped him. They charged us to use a credit card. That alone is enough to keep me from going back. The ambiance was New Orleans decor and pleasant.
