Pros: We had such a fun evening. I have always wanted to try farmbar's burger night. But it's on Tuesdays and I can't be bothered to do social things on weekdays. But my friend and I had to come out tonight it was for a good cause. Items we ordered, the proceeds went to LGBT Tulsa Youths. We got the eggplant fritters to share. Each of us got a different themed rainbow drink. The burgers were delicious. I wish they came with fries, but the potato salad was good. We got a variety of desserts, including the almond cake and a peach ice cream. Service was good, but I could tell she needed us to leave because she wanted our table. Cons: my friend thought the restaurant was too loud. We did notice that the floors and walks were concrete. Not very sound proof.

There is street parking available. We made reservations for our group of 5 about 3 weeks in advance. The space is small but the use of space is good. The service was lovely. We had a couple of servers but they were attentive and friendly. We did the pre fix menu and it was nice to not have to make major choices. Presentation for each dish was thoughtful and engaging. We started with a tartlet then moved to salad with hummus, to truffle noodles, then pork shoulder and then an amazing ice cream dessert. It is a little pricey and initially we thought the portion size might leave us hungry but we left full and not stuffed. I do want to come back and try burger night.

My boyfriend and I rang in the new year here and had an amazing time. We love to experience local farm-to-table restaurants as well as delicious tasting menus, and FarmBar definitely delivered on both! The food itself was delicious and clearly very fresh, but overall the ingredients and their combinations felt very safe, resulting in the least experimental tasting menu experience I've had the privilege to try. Some of the earlier courses were very filling as well, and I felt very full around the third or fourth of ten courses, and I was unable to finish a few courses in the later half. That's saying something because I'm usually a bottomless pit. These points are all probably positive things for many people, but takes the rating down a notch for me. When booking your reservation, you have the option to sit at the "bar"/countertop overlooking the kitchen, in the indoor dining room, or the outdoor patio. "Bar" is in quotation marks because even though "bar" is in the name of the restaurant, they don't actually have a full bar- alcohol options are pretty much limited to the cocktails, beers, or wines they specifically have listed on the menu. If you are a party of 2 and choose the indoor dining room, you will get seated at a four top table with a couple of strangers. We weren't prepared for that at first and were initially taken aback, but ended up forming a wonderful bond with the people we were seated with for dinner. The intimate atmosphere of the restaurant and the natural conversation pieces of the tasting menu really helped grease our socializing gears. Not sure if this is the case when sitting outside though, since it was too cold to seat anyone on the patio when I went. Highly recommend this restaurant for the social aspect alone; between this, the amazing service, and the intimate atmosphere, the tasting experience was so unique.

Special occasion dinner--they did a WONDERFUL job helping us celebrate! Dinner was a 6/5, yes, the coveted 6th star. August 2024.

Our special occasion dinner experience here really deserves the coveted 6th star. The team at Farmbar exceeded our expectations around every corner. Yes, it was the most expensive meal I've had in the last 10 years, maybe ever, but the Farmbar team really rose to the occasion and knocked it out of the park. The food was spectacular. Unexpected layers of flavors and delightful pairings. It's obvious that the food is made with love. The menu is all locally sourced ingredients which of course means it is seasonal and ever changing. The chefs in the kitchen really impressed us. Each plate was so well crafted and seemed so intentional. I wish I had a better camera. There were times as the evening progressed that in the cozy lighting my photos were just bad as I tried to capture the delicate details of our plates. The intimate dining room transformed as day turned into night. The coziness of the space enveloped us as we traveled along one of the most special culinary experiences of our lives. The team behind this dinner program from the chefs, to the local producers, to the hospitality team-everyone does their part and goes the extra mile and that was evident to us. Every special detail was a surprise and truly made the evening one of the best we've ever had. I highly recommend a special occasion dinner at Farmbar. If you know a foodie in your life, get them a Farmbar gift card! August 2024

I was surprised with a birthday dinner at Farmbar and was blown away. They had a Happy Birthday card at our table and the dessert came with a lit candle. We were tended to by all of the servers throughout dinner - they were attentive and they taught us a lot about our meals and where they were sourced. We ordered the Prix Fixe dinner, one vegetarian. And, wow! There seemed to be a common theme between each course, we were impressed with their creativity. We found everything delicious and we were licking our plates after each item. The ambiance was an elevated and intimate vibe. It wasn't loud and we were very comfortable. This experience will go in the memory books!

There's a reason why Lisa continues to be nominated for James Beard awards - she knows how to make damn good . We recently ate here with some friends recently, and we had the tasting menu. It was scrumptious! Probably the best thing on the menu was their duck pierogi - I wish I got to eat 10 of them because one was not enough. For four people to eat (plus tip and ordering one drink each) the meal cost about $500 - which in my opinion, it was worth it. The service was excellent. Our food was phenomenal. We love this place! Zach the chef killed it!!

Ate here for burger night, everything was amazing from start to finish! The staff was so helpful and attentive, the vibes were cozy and warm, and the food was amazing! We had the jalapeño poppers, the backyard burger, and the apple cider cake, and everything was delicious! You DO usually need a reservation, so make sure to make one!

In case you haven't yet had the opportunity to enjoy it for yourself, FarmBar serves dishes created using ingredients from Oklahoma farms, in an intimate setting, in the heart of SOBO. From their pop-up menus (hello Burger Night), to their a la carte menu, to their multi-course tasting menu dinners, FarmBar has something different and delicious every Tuesday through Saturday night. Our personal favorite is getting a seat at the Chef's Counter where you can watch all the action and interact with the entire restaurant team. (And you might even get some fun stories about the source of the ingredients.) What we tried: Pickle Martini Old Fashioned Country Bird Bakery Sourdough with Sweet Cream Butter Cantaloupe Gazpacho with Basil Flowers and Pecans Roast Tomato with Eggplant Custard, Garlic Crisp, and Breadcrumbs Goat Cheese Ravioli with Fried Rosemary and Sunflower Seed Gremolata Petit Banger with Ballymeloe Relish, Silky Leeks, and Cabbage Black Forest Bombe with Candied Sandplums, Chocolate, and Ice Cream

I wasn't really sure what to expect as some of the negative reviews were quite harsh. Glad to report that all is good and well at Farmbar! We went early at 5pm and had the counter service for the chef's fixe tasting menu (6 courses). Luckily, I added the wine pairing. All I can say is, "WOW!" The service was above and beyond - professional, personable and so informative - from the hostess to wait staff to the chefs. The meal was lovely. Yes, small portions, as it is only a tasting, but we left quite satiated. My husband and I alternated between favorites so I can't necessarily recommend nor dismiss any of the courses. However the "in house" items were some of the favs. I highly recommend the wine pairing as it can often, as in this case, elevated the course to another whole level. Solid nod to the sommelier as the wine was such an unexpected treat - choices I would have never thought to make for myself. I am sure there are hits and misses over time, but the ambience and overall experience was so pleasant, I MUST recommend. As foodies coming from PDX, we have been spoiled, but also pleasantly surprised by OK fare and Farmbar is now top of our list. It will be our new "go to" for guests or another special nights out. Well done. Thank you. We will be back!

We have friends that rave about the Burger night on Tuesdays at Farmbar, and we finally got to try it. We had 6:45 reservations and had the perfect table right in the front by the coolest dog art. The restaurant is very pretty inside and has great outdoor seating too. It was definitely an upscale burger night experience with so many delicious flavors. The pimento cheeseburger was wonderful. I enjoyed the bulgogi burger, but the pimento cheese one was king. The roasted sweet potato appetizer was delicious. That goat cheese was so good. And the miso sundae dessert was best bite of the night. We will definitely be back! Our friends said they did a blue cheese burger on a different night that we have to try if they do it again. I want to try the 10 course dinner they do too!

What an amazing culinary experience. I found myself in Tulsa on Thursday night and was able to get a seat at Farm Bar and partake in their 5-course prix fixe dinner. Every course was fantastic. Highlights for me were the duck perogi and the Romanesco. Such a treat!!

I've been to Faembar twice and have been blown away both times. Expect elevated service and casually classy ambiance. Once was the prix fixe dinner with wine pairing, and the second time was for the burger and barbera night. Two very different experiences with very different price points, so if you've been wanting ti try Farmbar, but aren't ready to commit financially, definitely check out burger and barbera night. If you're looking for a unique upscale date night culinary experience, I recommend going to Farmbar on the weekend for the coursed dinner with wine pairing. It was worth the $$$.

FarmBar - "Burgers and Barbera Tuesday" Mini-Review Overall: 97/100 (Original Score) Introduction: Following an exquisite experience at FarmBar that mirrored Michelin-star quality in service, food, atmosphere, and overall enjoyment, I felt compelled to explore their famed "Burgers and Barbera" event held on Tuesdays. What I encountered surpassed mere burgers and drinks; it was a multi-dimensional feast brimming with excitement, indulgence, and unparalleled service from Mallory, Christa, Zidaya, and the cocktail maestro, Bri. I ventured in with an insatiable appetite, allowing Chefs Caleb, Christian, and JJ to orchestrate a culinary symphony for my senses. Experience: I must preface by acknowledging the excessiveness of my order--an item from each vegetable and burger on the menu, alongside two desserts. This was not a rational choice but an indulgence encompassing gluttony, sloth, lust, and pride, all woven into a singular, enjoyable evening. Drinks: A special accolade is owed to Bri, the cocktail magician, who served a captivating sangria, an unprecedented blend of nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, lemon, apple, and orange. Each sip revealed distinct yet harmonious flavors, a true testament to mixology mastery. Bri's basil watermelon creation proved equally enchanting, rendering me speechless amidst its delightful taste. Food: The culinary voyage commenced with Chef Caleb and Chef JJ's Spicy Cucumber Salad--an artistic fusion of textures, flavors, and heat. The crispness of cucumber juxtaposed the intense spiciness of garlic and chili, ingeniously tempered by the tangy creaminess of skyr, resulting in a fiery yet balanced dish. Continuing the vegetable parade was the Gailan, complemented by a lemon vinaigrette, breadcrumbs, and Grana Padano cheese, delivering crispness, vibrancy, and a nuanced bitter aftertaste. The Better Farm Salad, featuring butter lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber, and garlic breadcrumbs in a creamy herb buttermilk dressing, exuded simplicity and elegance, with sweet tomatoes accentuating the tangy buttermilk. Moving to the Eggplant and Potato Tajine, a Chef Becklund masterpiece. This hot dish showcased potato and eggplant flavors intertwined with Eastern-inspired herbs, offering subtle sesame undertones, providing a perfect contrast to preceding cold vegetable delights. Chef Caleb's sautéed mushrooms with brown butter, porcini, truffle salt, and Grana Padano were a euphoric experience, a symphony for mushroom aficionados, from the seared crust to the lingering, tantalizing flavors. The three spring potatoes with smoked paprika aioli and chili-garlic crunch presented a harmonious marriage of rustic potatoes and smoked paprika, honoring the potato's essence amidst luscious aioli and a hint of heat. The spotlight then turned to the Meatball Burger by Chef Caleb, initially met with skepticism but ultimately unleashing an explosion of beefy richness balanced by a subtle, exquisite sweetness of marinara, an unparalleled burger experience. For desserts, the pecan frangipane and apple tart with spiced ice cream offered a beautifully balanced treat, while the zucchini cake with pear compote and whipped cream provided a light, ethereal conclusion to an extraordinary meal. Overall: FarmBar's "Burgers and Barbera Tuesday" transcended the typical start-of-the-week blues, offering a sanctuary of bliss and culinary delight. It's an oasis where problems dissipate, and serenity reigns--a burger-driven slice of heaven during the workweek. In short, it's an experience that speaks for itself--Michelin-quality burgers in Tulsa! Price Note: With burgers priced at $10 and $17 respectively, FarmBar's offerings present incredible value. My indulgence in the entire menu (except 2 desserts) should not detract from the sheer reasonableness of these exceptional burger prices. Overall: 97/100; Who knew Michelin-quality burgers could grace Tulsa?!

Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!

The restaurant is bright, clean, and modern. We started with the Smooth Criminal cocktail and the Pineapple Sangria. Both great. Well balanced, unique ingredients, everything you want in a unique cocktail. We did order the whipped feta appetizer, but unfortunately they were very busy and there was some miscommunication. We didn't get to eat it at the restaurant, but they kindly packaged it for us to take home and we enjoyed it later. Although it was good, it would have been way better fresh. But these things happen, it didn't spoil our brunch. On to the mains: lamb shoulder hash...at brunch? Yes, please!!! Topped with two perfectly poached eggs, and brunch potatoes on the side with a nice crisp salad and fresh bread. The lamb was seasoned to perfection, and melted in my mouth. The biggest surprise for me were the potatoes. Brunch potatoes are usually overly greasy and bland. These were fresh, salted, and had the perfect crispness. I would like to think they are fresh, but even if they're frozen...well done! I would have happily eaten 2-3 of these lamb dishes. The French toast was the second entree. Brown butter and maple foam, on top of a piece of French toast that is the size of a small child. Even with all of the sauce, the toast was still crisp. It was a very heavy dish, some fresh berries with some acidity would be nice to cut through it, but the overall flavor was on point. The wine list is exquisite. If you enjoy good wine, this is the spot for you. Their reserve list has some absolute bangers on it at a very reasonable price. All in all, it was a nice experience. We would happily recommend and return.

We were given our menus by the server and she said she would be right back for our drink order. 10 minutes later she returned. (There was a large table she concentrated her time on). 10 minutes later she brought our drinks. We said we were ready to our order appetizers and in fact we were ready to order our entrees also. She said great! I'll be right back! 15 minutes later she came back and said she was ready to take our appetizer order. We gave her both, asked questions about the menu. In the mean time another server brought bread to our table. 20 minutes later we got our dumpling appetizer. They were great! An hour has gone by and we were getting hungry. Our server is bustling around, but we were feeling a little invisible. We asked another server if we could get our water refilled, they did. Our server eventually came by and mentioned the food should be coming soon, and asked if we wanted more cocktail's since ours were long empty. Only one of us ordered another. At the hour and a half mark our meals arrived. Two filet minions, a Dover sole, and a duck. All were hot perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. We asked about dessert, she said she would be right back. 5 minutes later she brought dessert menus, by now we were quite done and just asked for our checks. It took another 15 minutes to get our checks, wait for her to pickup our cards and produce receipts to sign. When we finally left the valet said he was swamped and had 11 cars show up at the same time, he apologized, but we could wait inside it would be a bit. There was one person receiving vehicles and one shuttling them. We waited 15 minutes for our car to arrive. By now it's almost 8:45 pm. The food was great. The service was subpar at all levels. I felt our server was concentrating on the larger tables and patrons who "appeared" more affluent, working for better tip opportunities. At $150 per person with appetizers and drinks before tip, I did not feel the experience was worth the price. This is mostly for the complete lack of service at all levels. This was a one and done.
