Gnocchi

We are big fans of Lisa and all of her concepts, so we had been looking forward to trying this newest addition. We went for an early dinner, for which we made a reservation, and were seated right away. The entire team was very friendly, and the service was exceptional throughout. We loved the intimate atmosphere and the marker on the first floor. But the food was truly incredible! The butter that came with the bread basket was out of this world, and the gnocchi was truly the best I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and try more things!

This was my first visit to Cow & Cabbage. Its has a very nice rich looking atmosphere inside with a retro-ish decor. Up front are a couple massive large wooden tables; I'll call them Farm Tables. Along the left wall are a number of refrigerated lockers filled with locally sourced meats and other food items. I also saw bunches of fresh beets and other produce items. Once you get past the large tables downstairs, on the right side there is a counter with a refrigerated display of desserts and canned beverages. Upstairs is another dining area with numerous tables. One downside of the upper area is that the ceilings are rather low and it is very loud. I measured 90 dB at one point on my Apple Watch. We were originally planning on eating at The Farm Bar for their $10 burger night. But due to construction on the street and a private event going on inside, this week's burger night was relocated to Cow & Cabbage. So this little snafu is how we discovered and had the pleasure of dining at Cow & Cabbage. Our server was very competent and able to answer any questions we had about the menu. All three of us in our party ordered the farm burger special. It was an outrageously delicious burger with cheese and a large red cabbage leaf. I think the burger had to have been at least an inch thick and it was so juicy and delicious. On the side was a serving of very tasty potato salad. The roll the burger was served on wasn't notable but it was good. Cow & Cabbage is definitely worth a return visit and we look forward to our next time.

We all enjoyed our meals a lot! Everything was cooked perfectly and flavorful. The appetizers we got were: farm salad, ham and cheese croquettes, cornbread, and beans. The salad had a ton of flavor! The croquettes were perfectly crispy and flavorful. The cornbread was as you'd expect but the strawberry jam that went with it was very tasty. The beans were excellent, perfectly cooked. The shredded ham in the beans was fantastic. Eggplant was very crispy! Schnitzel was yummy! Gnocchi had great texture! Steak frites were great. The sauce of the steak was unique and the serving size was generous. The only complaint was that the fries with the steak were pedestrian. They were a bit undercooked and not very robust in their flavor. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. I would have liked a bottle of water on the table as we all kept running out of our small cups of beverage but other than that it was a excellent evening and all four of us enjoyed our meals!

We went and tried Cow and Cabbage tonight and I have to say, Linda and Lisa know how to make excellent food. We walked in without a reservation and were immediately sat - Linda sat us at the community table (a large table designed to be shared by multiple diners) downstairs. They have tables setup in front of the grocery area, which is fun to look at since they carry so much local stuff! Alyssa, who was our waitress, was amazing - Linda told us to try the beet salad (which she said was her favorite) It was divine. My partner and I split the biscuits (came with a cherry chipotle jam, and sweet butter) It was scrumptious. My partner had the farm salad, which he said was very good. For entrees, I had the steak frites (the cocktail cherry liquor sauce that came on top was heavenly) and my partner had the burger, which he said was yummy. Overall, we loved our experience at Linda and Lisa's new place - can't wait to go back and try the catfish (which Linda says is the best catfish, ever!!)

Stopped in briefly for some healthy snacks and drinks. Found some wellness drinks that were very tasty and gave a slight euphoric feeling.

Yum, yum. Wonderful service. I absolutely love the inside. Market area with seating and a more private dinning area up the stairs.

We ordered the tri tip dip sandwich which was the highlight of the meal. It was delicious. We also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and that was full of flavor. The focaccia was on the dryer side and the chicken didn't fill out the bun so it was just kind of off texture wise and lacking fullness but the favor was 10/10. The chips and red onion dip were a nice little touch. Something I've never had before and we enjoyed it

We started with the bacon jam, which was everything you'd expect, but was a tad bit too sweet to eat a lot of. We then moved on to the Idaho trout and grilled chicken. The trout was perfectly cooked, the sauce and vegetables were the perfect pairing for a light dish. The grilled chicken had a nice assortment of gnocchi and a delicious onion cream sauce. For sides we had the Brussels sprout appetizer with bacon, apples, honey, and goat cheese...WOW! We also had the potato pave. The potatoes were yummy once we added salt and pepper. Without it, they were extremely bland, but once seasoned, I devoured all of them. Finish them with flaky salt before serving, it makes a huge difference. For dessert we had the orange marmalade bread pudding. It was ok, but I wish we chose something else. The flavors just didn't mesh. We will happily go back and will 100% recommend this restaurant to our friends.

It was semi warm and it just wasn't what I was expecting. But my father-in-laws wife had it and loved it. So I chose this restaurant because they had fried chicken in the menu. Well, I'm never gonna turn down fried chicken so I ordered it. I included pictures for reference. At first glance I thought they had over cooked it because of its dark color. But as I started eating I realized that they had used a ton of paprika in the batter to give it that dark red amber color. The chicken was good and not overcooked. However, they used a batter for the crust. Much like a Japanese tempura but less garlic. The crust was a hard crunchy shell. The flavor was ok but I just don't care for battered chicken. I also felt like it was cooked too hot. The crust was borderline over cooked but the inside was done. That's just my opinion. They served the chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side. Both just warm and as my meal progressed the gravy was straight up cold. But I was finished so I powered through. To be fair, the fried chicken was the least expensive entree on the menu. But I'm kind of a fried chicken snob so I'm gonna give it a 6 out of 10. I prob would not order it again, but there were some other things on the menu I am excited to try on our next visit.

What a fantastic little find!…read more We stopped by for brunch as this "Mediterranean-inspired" brunch caught our eye. It lived up to our expectations and exceeded them. The restaurant is bright, clean, and modern. We started with the Smooth Criminal cocktail and the Pineapple Sangria. Both great. Well balanced, unique ingredients, everything you want in a unique cocktail. We did order the whipped feta appetizer, but unfortunately they were very busy and there was some miscommunication. We didn't get to eat it at the restaurant, but they kindly packaged it for us to take home and we enjoyed it later. Although it was good, it would have been way better fresh. But these things happen, it didn't spoil our brunch. On to the mains: lamb shoulder hash...at brunch? Yes, please!!! Topped with two perfectly poached eggs, and brunch potatoes on the side with a nice crisp salad and fresh bread. The lamb was seasoned to perfection, and melted in my mouth. The biggest surprise for me were the potatoes. Brunch potatoes are usually overly greasy and bland. These were fresh, salted, and had the perfect crispness. I would like to think they are fresh, but even if they're frozen...well done! I would have happily eaten 2-3 of these lamb dishes. The French toast was the second entree. Brown butter and maple foam, on top of a piece of French toast that is the size of a small child. Even with all of the sauce, the toast was still crisp. It was a very heavy dish, some fresh berries with some acidity would be nice to cut through it, but the overall flavor was on point. The wine list is exquisite. If you enjoy good wine, this is the spot for you. Their reserve list has some absolute bangers on it at a very reasonable price. All in all, it was a nice experience. We would happily recommend and return.

We had a reservation, arrived on time, and were told our table wasn't ready. It was a beautiful evening and we weren't in a rush, so no issue there. When an outdoor table opened up, we waited for it to be cleared. My husband went back inside to let the hostesses know we'd be sitting outside instead, and they said that was fine. I had actually tried to reserve an outdoor table earlier and was told they were first-come, first-served, so this seemed perfectly reasonable. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. A waitress came out and told us we couldn't sit there. We explained the situation, and she became visibly irritated and went inside. Another staff member came out and insisted we hadn't checked in at the hostess stand. When I explained again that we had, she repeatedly implied we were lying, even stating she had been at the stand. Both my husband and I had spoken to the hostesses, so this was confusing and frankly inappropriate. I firmly offered to go inside to clear it up with the hostesses, but she continued to question our honesty. At that point, my husband asked her to be nice, and she walked away. Meanwhile, the guests at the table next to us commented on how poorly we were being treated, which validated how strange the situation felt. We befriended them and talked and laughed while we waited. 20 minutes - no menus or drinks. My husband went inside and asked for a manager. 30 minutes - nothing. 40 minutes - still nothing. When I asked a server, she told me the manager was the same person I had "yelled at" (which was actually kind of humorous because though I was firm, I did not yell). She then told us the only other option was to speak to the owner, adding that he would likely just ask us to leave. At that point, we called a friend who is a well-known and respected local chef. He said this experience didn't surprise him and described ongoing issues with the owner/chef at Stonehorse. He stated, "He's a talented chef, but has horrible management and customer service skills." Interestingly, the regulars sitting next to us said the same. What's most telling is that we tried this restaurant a few months ago and left before being seated because the atmosphere felt negative. No one was smiling, and the energy was off. After tonight, it makes sense. It's unfortunate, because the location is great and the food may be as well, but leadership sets the tone, and it shows. This was hands down the worst dining experience we've had, and I would strongly caution others before going.

Crust, char...perfect! Had the Hawaiian and the BBQ chicken..,could have outdone themselves, but WAY too many large onions! Dropped it to a 4 star for me. I guess if you're a big onion fan, then perhaps it's spectacular, but Hawaiian should haven't any. Right? Feel like that's a miss on the chef's part. Wish I would have asked them to 86 them. ‍ But solid place...give it try, have everything I suggest above, but if you are just "meh" on onion...I'd recommend asking them to either lighten or hold them all together.

December 31, around 9:30-9:35 p.m., I visited Reasor's at 2429 E. 15th St., Tulsa, OK 74104, and had one of the most upsetting and unprofessional retail experiences I have ever encountered. I went directly to the checkout counter, paid for my item, and completed my purchase like any other customer. Shortly after, I realized there was a transaction issue and calmly requested a refund so the transaction could be corrected. What should have been a routine customer-service matter quickly escalated into something completely inappropriate. Instead of assisting me, I was accused of stealing, without any verification or investigation. No one checked my receipt. No one reviewed the register. No attempt was made to confirm whether I had, in fact, paid for the item. The accusation came from the security guard, but what was most concerning was the lack of leadership that followed. The manager failed to step in, failed to question the accusation, and failed to independently review the facts. Management allowed a serious claim to stand without evidence and did nothing to de-escalate the situation or protect a paying customer. This was not only unprofessional--it was humiliating. As a business owner myself, I understand that mistakes happen, but accusing a customer of theft without proof is never acceptable. Customer service should be based on facts, fairness, and respect. None of those standards was upheld during this interaction. The entire experience was degrading, unnecessary, and avoidable. I left feeling disrespected and wrongfully treated. I will not return to this location and cannot recommend it to others unless Reasor's makes great improvements in staff training, management accountability, and how customer disputes are handled. And I hadn't received an apology from the Manager. Hopefully, this gets his attention.

I hate writing bad reviews. . . Reading my review from 2023…read morewould make me feel bad but 1) there were so many other 1* reviews and 2) my review was completely accurate & remembering that experience made me angry all over again. So to my visit a few days ago: I was majorly impressed. This store, even the PARKING LOT, has been completely renovated. Beautiful wide plank flooring. So many products. Everything on my shopping list was readily available. I don't think diapers, for instance, should be in the middle of "food". 4* for the product placement. Aisles seem nonsensical. To address comments from others in their reviews, regarding the *current* atmosphere. . . .yes, Walmart is often cheaper. And being the HUGE company they are, they have access to a nonstop variety of resources, so sometimes they'll have products more available. But in acquiring those lower prices, consider the possibility of lower quality (produce). Personnel is something business have to deal with. Managers need to keep in mind you can always go elsewhere. And, Ryan (see his review), who was abused by an employee this year! should have gone straight to the manager. The complaints on prices/coupons/ads, etc. It's maddening, and appears to be structured against the consumer. LOL. My recommendation is have a plan and know the rules. Sorry, it may be a little time consuming but it gets easier through repetition. And know (this reality makes utterly no sense to me) the "sales" vary from store to store. This was pointed out to me at the 15th St store a few years back. I was looking for a particular awesome sale item, like 10 limes for $1. A manager came to the disagreement, looked at the ad, and said, "That's only at the store out on 21st". Who knew? That's why you have to choose *your* store online. (If this has changed, I'm unaware). Another tip: shop as soon as possible when ads change, I thought. They run out of product FAST. Hubby took our shopping list on a Wednesday when ads are new. He got absolutely nothing that was advertised. They told him a shipment would be in the next day. I went on Friday and got it all. So I say shop early and still feel validity in that. Hope my experience helps somewhat.
