    French Onion Soup
    Kelly G.

Good food. No issues. I just got French onion soup and a wedge salad. And my wife got the shrimp carbonara. Bother we're good. I have to say the French Onion Soup was outstanding. We ate at the French Hen earlier in the week and the French Onion Soup here was better. The broth was rich and flavorful and ratios between broth and onion was really good. The Wedge Salad was fresh and cold. That's all I got on that.

I was staying at the hotel this eatery is attached to and wanted a quiet meal alone, so I ordered my food to go. But if I wanted to be more social, this place is definitely a good spot to go with a group or when you feel like talking to a stranger(s). It's really loud! But I should note there was a convention at the hotel, so I'm not sure this is the norm. My service experience was great. I dealt mostly with the hostess who was nice, professional, and quoted me an accurate wait time for my food. I ordered the Italian Beef and it was pretty darn good. I just wish there was more fillings but that's just my personal preference. I would definitely go again the next time I'm in Tulsa.

I've come here a few times and received excellent service from attentive staff members. I love that there are tasty options for both healthy and decadent meal preferences. The setting is lovely and very conveniently located for all the downtown happs.

They decorated for Valentines Day. So fun!

What a wonderful Valentine's celebration we had! My amazing husband decided to surprise me with the sweetheart package, which came with a $100 credit at the Avery. It was our first time there, and let me tell you, we walked in thinking we were in a romantic movie--rose petals everywhere and lighting that could make even a potato look seductive! They even treated us to complimentary Champagne, which was nice and bubbly. As for the food, the steak was so good it practically melted in my mouth, the whipped potatoes were fluffy enough to be clouds, and the mushrooms were like little flavor bombs. The bakef brownie dessert was delicious.Overall, it was a delightful evening! Staff was amazing.

Just recently had an excellent brunch at the Avery Kitchen & Bar inside the Hyatt hotel in downtown Tulsa. It was a quiet morning with only a few tables occupied inside but the service was wonderful. Multiple staff came by and checked on us throughout our visit. There were many great options to choose from on the menu, from breakfast to sandwiches or salads. We enjoyed drinks and a delicious breakfast while dining inside.

This is my third time going to The Avery and honestly I don't know that I will go back again. The first time I went it was okay. The second time i went it was also okay and, when I asked if they would put the bread in my French onion soup on the side instead of directly in the soup, the chef said no. I explained to the waitress that the last time I had it it literally soaked up the entire bowl of soup and so I just had wet bread she didn't really seem to care that much. I went back today because it was a friend's birthday and that's where they wanted to go. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich that sounded delicious with caramelized onions and jalapenos. It was one of the worst chicken sandwiches I've ever had in my life. The chicken was dry and tough and had no taste. The onions didn't taste very caramelized. They were just kind of stringy. There was only a little bit of sauce and the bun was burned. I also ordered one of the $15 cocktails and it came in a tiny glass and was about half full. One of my friends got the same drink and hers was completely full. I didn't want to rock the boat because it was my friend's birthday so I didn't say anything at the time. We were all having a nice time and wanted to enjoy our afternoon. The only bright spot was that our server, Katie, was excellent. They were super attentive and just an outstanding server. This is such a beautiful restaurant that it's a shame that the food just doesn't match. Another person at the table got the same sandwich I did and halfway through just went this is terrible and stopped eating. I took my leftovers home but I think they're even going in the trash and I hate to waste food. All in all this was pretty disappointing which is kind of a bummer because it's nice to have this as an option when I go to the PAC. Hopefully they will work on the food and things will get better.

Lovely lunch spot in the heart of downtown. I met the chef on my way in, he's delightful as was the food and service staff.

After a rough start to my trip to Tulsa, I came for a much needed night cap at my hotel bar, the Avery. Drew was the first person in Tulsa that greeted me with warmth and kindness. Coming from Las Vegas, as a bartender myself, it's hard to impress me with customer service, and this guy did it. My second night here, I didn't even need a greeting, Drew came to my seat and remembered my drink from the night before. THIS is next level guest experience. Drew, if you can see this, thank you. I hope your boss gives you a nice raise or bonus for Christmas, because you deserve it and the small things like that make a huge impact. Well done. If you ever come to Vegas and need a job, I'd be happy to give you one.

The Avery offers a menu that takes you on a culinary road trip across Route 66. From premium burgers, to steaks, to salads, to seafood, to creative cocktails, with more stops in between...a sophisticated twist on American classics, all inspired by the Mother Road. Located in the heart of Downtown Tulsa, inside the Hyatt, the restaurant is open for Breakfast, Lunch, Happy Hour, Dinner, and Brunch (get the Crab Benedict!). Whether it's a special occasion, a casual meal, or a lil brunch date, The Avery is your new spot.

The barbecue burger was my favorite. I had to go back and get it because that meal was not mine that day. I had the chicken with the mushroom sauce with mashed potatoes. The bread pudding was alright I wouldn't get it again because I've had better it's very edible. It's just not comparable to (bourbon street's) bread pudding .. I would probably try a different dessert next time. I would definitely get the mac & cheese again. The ravioli was good. I also liked the Avery when it was a different name. They had this curly mac & cheese. It was delicious. I just don't remember the name of the Avery used to be before it became the Avery

We made a reservation here on a Saturday night before going to the Tulsa Ballet performance. We were seated right away and our server was friendly and checked in just the right amount. The drinks were good. I found the Caesar dressing bland without a lot of flavor. I wouldn't order it again but I really enjoyed my dinner the salmon was good and the fingerling potatoes and Brussels sprouts with the sauce were really good. No dessert as we were full but I would definitely come back. The interior has lots of familiar photos/painting of Tulsa and a retro classy diner feel.

Giant portions of a DELISH juicy burger and already half eaten portion of fries, they gave such a large amount! It was perfect

Service was poor. Food was worse. Do not recommend. Their "Italian beef" was so far off base it was laughable.

This is especially true after their recent renovation that includes beautiful murals and more open seating, not to mention the amazing patio to soak up the sunlight! The drinks are terrific too and Collab has an inventive menu for their specials. I like their drip coffee and they have this really spectacular drink called the Sunny Spro (lemonade, sparkling/tonic water, lavender, and espresso) that took me by surprise and became one of my all-time favorite drinks! The staff are also very friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable about their menu and offerings. This is also one of the few places in Tulsa where you can order a bottomless drip for those days where you do decide to stay a while. I love the Collab and highly recommend you give it a shot! (5/5)

Some people working, some people socializing, but not crowded or loud. It's in the burbs but feels quiet and plenty of parking. Menu- my almond orange latte was truly life-changing. I will be trying to recreate this at home for sure. Not sweet but lots of flavor. The espresso here is excellent, not sour or bitter, very smooth. The blueberry muffin was truly the best muffin I've had in my life, and I do not say this lightly, I am quite picky about muffins. Fluffy and moist, the blueberries were not mushy. And the jalapeno scones was shockingly good and it was even gluten free. It was more similar to a shortbread in texture, which I preferred over a scone actually. Very buttery and tasty, not spicy if you're sensitive to that. It was $17 for these items, so higher than expected, but spot on for unparalleled quality. Friendly service, and very fast. Can't wait to go back, this place is just doing everything right.

There is an abundance of wine to choose from. Our server was rushed (and they were packed) and I didn't get a lot of direction on the wine so I just ordered a white sampler and just asked for three dry varieties. The first one I tried (Collan) was not dry in my opinion. The Triple was drier but my favorite was the Fume. I really got hints of pinion in this final one and ordered another 5 oz. of it. We tried the avocado bruschetta to start. It was four big pieces of good bread but was more avocado toast than bruschetta. I would probably go with a different appetizer next time. We both tried the burgers. I went with the mushroom-gouda one. It was over done and not seasoned at all. The gouda was nice and gooey and the mushrooms were seasoned well. Fries were OK. The table next to us had a couple of the flatbreads and I would try those next time. Back to the service. It was OK but our server had a tendency to just show up at our table and just stand. I would come back to try more appetizers and a flight of their red offerings. I also want to know more about the winery. Maybe after the busy holidays.
