Good food and the staff made us feel like we were family. We particularly like the dripped beef! The other businesses in that small shopping center have closed. If PJ's moves, we sure hope that we can find them again! read more

PJs have been there for a long time. I've just never been in went in for the first time with a friend of mine for lunch. She had a BLT and she gave it a four I had a salad with egg salad, chicken salad, and tuna salad all were really good the waitress very friendly and then she gave us a cookie to go. I thought that was really sweet of her good lunch for a good price. read more

They are old school in the BEST possible way. Consistent, no shortcuts, and you can tell they put care in making food. It's sad that that's a rarity now-a-days. Their food reminds me of being a kid and going out with the girls to a place like this. Salads and Sammie's are soooo yummy, full of extras, and just solid. The chicken, tuna, eggs salads in the triple hitter (my favor) are all supper yummy, not runny at all, and I honesty can't choose my fav, so I'm glad they offer this!! The only thing bad is my fault, bc I wasn't a patron a long time ago! read more

P J's Sandwich Shoppe - The Ultimate Tripe Hitter (I ate some already, lol) - Salad Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

This visit, my wife had the turkey sandwich and the potato salad. Simple Delicious. I tried PJ's version of a Cobb Salad. Different and disappointing. An odd combination of ingredients. Stick with the sandwiches. Although the quaint, but dated little shop has been diners favorite for years, PJ's may be due for a refresh of the menu. read more

P J's Sandwich Shoppe - So good and had great options! - Salad Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

I've only been to PJs three times but today I was able to walk in get a sandwich to go and leave within 10 minutes. Every time I go the staff is super sweet and ensures that I get the most out of my order. Today I had a ham and cheese Sandwich on rye bread with coleslaw. And they reminded me that every time I come in I get a small dessert and today I chose the chocolate chip cookie that was so good. I forgot to take a picture of my sandwich, but I highly recommend going there if you need a quick, low-key lunch meeting or food to grab and go. read more

This is the best sandwich shop in town. Very afford and everything is delicious. I have tried the turkey avocado, the drip, the chicken salad, and their largest sandwich which I don't remember the name. My favorite sandwiches are the turkey avocado and the beef drip. Their best deal is 1/2 sandwich and chili/soup. I like both the chili and soup. For the chili, the option to not include beans is traditional. For the soup, I like the chicken noodle. Chili and soup are homemade or at least taste like it. If you pay with cash, you get a free cookie. The restaurant is in the corner by an antique shop. I love the arrangements and decorations inside. It feels very homey and welcoming. It's great for people who yearn to return to a distant past, to escape from modern society, and to return to a simpler time. The service is quick. It seems like most orders are to go and most customers are returners. Also, the pickles are divine. read more

Try the chili! One of the better kept secrets in town. Quiet for conversation & a very relaxed environment

Great menu with delicious sandwiches and desserts. Great friendly service. You have to check it out if you like hidden gems.

Nice little shop. Its kind of hidden and I drove past it twice. The staff was very friendly and the food was good.

Small hidden spot near True Value Hardware. Got desserts to go for a birthday party. Purchased brownies and strawberry cupcakes. All were delicious. read more

Decent food but I saw that most of it came from Walmart. I was hoping for homemade potato salad, not store bought or great value bread for a sandwich Im paying $12 for. However, the workers were very nice and the cookies were good. read more

Cute little cafe/sandwich shop in Midtown! The sandwiches are very good and the owner makes a fresh cake everyday for dessert. Also, it was great to speak with the owner about the shop and the folks that frequent it. I will go back! read more

We ordered 7 sandwiches to go. All were correct but the sides were not. Seems fairly simple but I guess it's not. Chicken Salad was dry and needed more mayo. This was my first time trying since I don't live in Oklahoma. It's also probably my last. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem! The employees were sweet and they also have outdoor seating. It's very cozy feeling inside and quiet! I got the pineapple cream cheese sandwich and it was so fresh and delicious. My husband got the meatloaf sandwich and enjoyed it. I tried the meatloaf and it was super good as well! The potato salad and Mac salad were also good!! My husband also got a sugar cookie with lemon icing and they iced it right there for you. It was so lemony and fresh! P J's Sandwich Shoppe - Ham Pineapple & Cream Cheese - Salad Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

It's tucked back in there. Back and to the left. Had the club, it was huge and delicious. The chocolate chip cookies are really good.

Visited this little gem of a sandwich shop for the first time today. I'd never heard of it before, never knew it was there, but some of the neighbors were talking about how good it is, so I checked out their menu and noticed a particular sandwich that intrigued me, so I decided to give it a try. The sandwich I tried was the ham, pineapple, and cream cheese. My sister likes the more traditional sandwiches, and got the ham and cheese. Both were delicious. For the sides, she got potato salad, which she said was excellent, and I got the pasta salad, which was also excellent. You get a lot of food for your money. I had been looking for a good sandwich shop, and this one does not disappoint. The shop itself is small, but very cozy. Food can be ordered to dine in or carry out. This is definitely a place we will visit again. read more

WOW!!!! My husband and I have lived in Tulsa our whole lives and somehow didn't know PJ's existed. Clearly a hidden gem of Tulsa. We've been making up for lost time and have been multiple times in the last month. All food is homemade, the staff is AMAZING (shoutout to Jan), and all meals come with free dessert. This is the food you ate at grandma's as a child. Absolutely delicious and made with love. read more

Nice little sandwich shop. Good food, friendly service.. and a cookie. That's about it

Good solid sandwich shop. Waitress didn't know what gluten free was but I was able to determine that the chili was gluten free. Their menu is quite large which surprised me. Quite an array of sandwiches and salads and chili dishes. I think they offer one soup choice per day, at least the day we were there it was just tomato soup. They have a dripped beef sandwich that looked fabulous. They do not offer gluten free bread, tho, I wish I had brought some of my own. So I had the Frito chili pie and the Fritos were on top which threw me off at first. I didn't think there was any cheese, but it was under the Fritos. So I got more cheese. Asked for sour cream but they were out of it. They give you the option of beans/no beans in the chili which is very nice! The chili was on the bland side, which is how I kinda like it, and they offer jalapeños to spice it up. I'm not sure if they have any hot sauce, tho. I would have liked a few drops. We got there early, but the place filled up! And the hours are limited to lunch. My friends loved their sandwiches and potato salad. They turned on a heater for us as it was a bit chilly that day. Good weather for chili! It is next door to midtown hardware, which is a great place to go to find something you didn't know you couldn't live without!! read more

The food is SO delicious. We had the entire family serving us, talking about the restaurants history & making sure we were comfortable. The ambiance reminded me of my grandmas house (in the best way)! We felt so welcomed and taken care of! Plus, FREE DESSERT!! read more

WOW! I had completely forgotten this little place for a long time but it will be on a regular rotation for now on. Drip sandwich was so tender and juicy with a delicious sauce. We went for lunch around 2:30. They let us sit and look over the menu. An employee brought us waters and told us a server would be right over. We knew they closed at 3, so we said we would take them to go and the server was so friendly and insisted we stay. We didn't want to be those people who come at close, but we stayed since they were so nice about it. We ordered a half sandwich/half soup, a Turkey avocado sandwich with potato salad, and a strawberry salad. They came out fast and were so delicious. Our friend is little, so the woman made her a full size sandwich which was so sweet. The salad was full of goods-strawberry, feta, mandarin oranges, grilled chicken, grapes, sunflower seeds, blueberries all on spring mix. It was so good and the chicken had a great flavor. And the sandwich was good, the ingredients nice and fresh with some really good rye bread. The potato salad was dressing heavy and I was a little worried at first. But wow, the flavor was so good, it didn't matter. It was clearly a little mom&pop shop. It was cute and simple inside. Nothing too elaborate, good little place to grab lunch. There seemed to be some nice seating outside. Very reasonably priced with huge portions. Really kind employees and good food! You got to go if you're in the neighborhood. read more

The best sandwich shop in Tulsa! The food is great and the service is amazing! The turkey avocado cream cheese sandwich is my favorite!

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Definitely a staple in the Tulsa area. Club sandwich and potato salad is my recommendation.

this place is sooo cool, a local family owned, little out of the way, hole in the wall, sandwich shoppe. that is well worth checking out, the staff is so nice, the service fantastic, and the food is reasonably priced and incredible, just check out the pictures. support and show "p j's sandwich shoppe" some love and try one of their great sandwiches. p.s. if you pay "cash" they give you a "free cookie". read more

So I have never been a huge sandwich guy in the past. This all changed when Pjs catered to my work last Saturday. One of my coworkers is related to someone at Pjs, so they hooked us up with a variety of everything at a great price. Then I was introduced to their Ham, Pineapple, and Cream Cheese. This heavenly piece of edible art is one of the most magical things that a human being can ingest. I could not believe how good a little sandwich could be. So here I am, on my day off.. Eating this delicious sandwich for lunch, and getting another one to take home for dinner. They have so many various sandwich combinations, it is literally impossible to NOT find something you will enjoy. But seriously, the only thing you need to order is that Ham, Pineapple, and Cream Cheese!! read more

I was just passing through Tulsa on my way to the airport and decided to try some local fare, what I found honestly felt like a gem that you'd see in the movie Big Fish (go watch it now, I'll wait). Okay, so what did I like? First it was a no nonsense kinda menu. Like, look, we make a chicken salad, and it doesn't come with weirdness, no apples, no onions, no kidding! I elected for the drip, a French dipesque sandwich, and their potato salad (the best in Oklahoma I'm told). Paired with a pickle. Honestly it was like mom and dad were putting on a picnic with just the tastiest of dishes. This was all on top of everyone there honestly treating me like I was a second cousin visiting from out of town, including a complimentary noobie cookie. Seriously Oklahoma, you've got a gem here tucked away in a little shopping center. Good as it gets. read more

I think this is an amazing sandwich shop. There chili is off the chain as well. The pickle was sweet and crunchy. Sweet tea was good as well. The service was good too. They took good care of me and it was seat yourself. I enjoyed em and you will too! read more

I love mom and pop restaurants but how bout a mom and daughter & grands keep-it-in-the-family dining spot? PJ aka Peggy Jo has been around the block a few times as she formerly was in Utica Square for 20 years but needed to expand to this off the beaten path location between Harvard & Yale & 31 st. Quaint, unassuming and warm and friendly, they went overboard to offer us a free 1/2 cup sample of chili and 2 freshly baked cookies. Now that's what I call service! We ordered the french dip and the tomato soup & 1/2 of a club sandwich which had enough contents to place on a regular size sandwich of 2 slices which I did! They aim to please and their mission was accomplished! I read more

What a gem. Love the service, the sandwiches and ambiance of P J's. This has become my new place to have lunch with my mother.

I had been wanting to try PJ's for quite some time now as I had heard and read really good things about it! Everything I heard and read was true! What a little gem nestled in the back corner of a beaten down strip mall next to midtown hardware. The decor was quaint and the restaurant was filled with a diverse lunch crowd. Two big chalkboards on the wall displayed the sandwiches as well as in the menu. So, many choices...however I decided on the BLT with a potato salad and a cup of tomato basil soup. The BLT was fresh and tasty and the potato salad was just like you would have at grandma's house. Delicious!! The soup was hot and very fresh! I am so happy that I finally tried this place. I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches. If you have not been here yet, what are you waiting for? read more

I have never been to PJ's until recently, but will definitely be back! They have a beef drip sandwich that is finger licking good. The sandwiches are always made to order, so they are very fresh. I have not had the deserts yet, but they are rumored to be out of this world. We went towards the late lunch time and there was not a wait. You will have to go on a little hunt to find this place, it is tucked away in a corner next to Midtown Hardware. If you are a fan of Trenchers, try this place out as well. read more

Very quaint cozy restaurant. Family owned and as previous reviews have said. They make you feel like family as well. Fantastic food and good portions.
