My wife and I have been steady customers of Freeway for as long as they have been in existence. So after long anticipation we were happy to hear the opening of the midtown restaurant. The restaurant has plenty of parking, it has plenty of seating with the 50's/60's diner's decor. With lots of model cars on display. We ordered the Eastside onion rings as an appetizer. My wife ordered a vegetable plate with a tossed salad, mashed potatoes, brown beans, okra and corn I ordered the Broasted chicken with side salad, mashed potatoes and corn. The onion rings came out piled high on a large platter They were cooked perfectly. My wife said her vegetables had a good flavor, but were cold. My broasted chicken was very good. However my mashed potatoes and corn were cold Our waitress Shannon was very attentive, friendly and professional. Cold food was the reason for four stars

A local diner with multiple locations opened a new place in old digs. We visited this location on the first day of business. A clean version of the older sisters it's a classed up version of the kitschy chain. The food is classic diner style food. The same quality of service and food are served here as the other locations. I do recommend this place for go to diner fare.

I'd give this place ten stars if I could. Great breakfast. Excellent service. Food comes out lightning fast and hot. The place is immaculately clean for a diner. The staff AND customers are friendly which is oddly noticeable. It's a happy place, and I love that. Alexia was our server today and she was awesome... thank you for a great experience!

We tried out the newest location of Freeway Cafe close to our home for brunch last weekend. We came in and were told to seat ourselves. We did so in a sparsely populated area in the back. I wasn't sure if I wanted breakfast or lunch but thankfully was there when both were being served since I decided on lunch. The food was decent, the service good and pretty much what you expect from a diner. I lost my appetite when a group of older gentlemen came in, sat right behind me and began a loud political conversation. I wrapped up my remainders and left quickly. The ambiance became grossly political and overly loud which ruined the taste in my mouth. This has nothing to do with the waitstaff but I do feel that the cafe itself does attract people of this type, which does make me less inclined to dine there. If they were seating people, I doubt they would have placed these two tables immediately next to one another. I would encourage them to begin seating tables to avoid seating parties who are obviously going to ruin one another's meals next to one another.

The service was amazing. Food was delicious. I love having all the model cars. Would recommend this true Tulsa diner.

Have you ever heard about a place and thought "I'll never go there, they're WAY too busy!" Well,…read morethat's what I've always thought about Bramble. I've been interested Bramble for years but would always hear that it's impossible to be seated, especially during peak hours, so I've avoided it. Besides, Tulsa has a VARIETY of other breakfast restaurants with less wait time and are more price friendly. I held off for a while. By time I went, they weren't even at their East Downtown location anymore. But, on Friday August 8th, I saw an opening. After months of distance, I made plans with a friend to meet face-to-face for breakfast. She initially offered to meet at Wildflower but I to try my luck at Bramble (they're only a block apart). I arrived around 10:20am to check out the table wait. It was packed but I was surprised at how much floor space there was. She came about 5-10mins later and voilà! We were seated in like 5mins after that. As we coasted toward our table, in the middle toward the back, I noticed how the modern fixtures & décor compliment the rustic building: large glass windows, light fixtures throughout and large art pieces to capture your thoughts. We were met with 2 servers, one brand new & a seasoned staff-lady who was showing him the ropes. It was great having 2 servers; it felt like we got twice the attention. The experienced waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu which was great because it was HUGE. Front & back, full of appealing options. Given the capacity of the restaurant, I expected the wait for the food to be super long so when the servers returned, I asked for the Breakfast Chimichanga (something I never had or heard of before). As we caught up, I began to appreciate the ambiance & efficiency of the restaurant. Besides a few waiting to pay, no one seemed angry or displeased. The food arrived quicker than I thought! For prime-time seating, it came in about 5-10mins. Having never eaten a chimichanga before, I was definitely surprised at what I ordered and had second thoughts. It was without a doubt good but I figured the meal would've been heartier considering the list of ingredients that were included. I felt the meal was more crisp bread (tortilla) than hashbrown, eggs, or chorizo. I am 100% taking the blame on the meal because I didn't know what I want. My friend got some combination of eggs, meat, potatoes & a margarita, she loved it. Somehow, Bramble has come to be known as one of the more bourgeois brunch restaurants in all of the land. Now that I've atleast ate there, I can say that it's not as overwhelming as it's been made out to be. Unfortunately I feel like the meal choice wasn't up my alley but I do think that Bramble can be both enjoyable& fulfilling under the right circumstances. I'd be glad to return when/if the time is right.

The breakfast poutine is delicious as is the quinoa bowl. It's got a chill vibe overall with a bit of an industrial feel. If you're lucky you may get street parking, but there is a lot across the street. Pricing is average for the type of place, most plates running $10-15x

We split a slice of the passion fruit chocolate pie along with a couple of regular drip coffees. (Of course, we had to get some of the orange-chocolate chip cookies to go.) I liked the pie. Interesting flavors. The chocolate chips did not overpower the subtle passion fruit cream. It was served a bit haphazard though (but that's just me being picky). My biggest complaint was with the coffee and some of the service. I guess I will order an Americano or something next time because the drip coffee was luke warm at best. We were bussing our own table and one of the staff didn't even seem to know what to do with our dishes. Nobody was overly friendly. Maybe they were just prepping for the onslaught of First Friday-ers. Just off night perhaps.
