Tea. Waiting for the creamer.
Patt G.

Where to begin? I came here for breakfast after finding them online. First, I ordered a hot tea. It came with a side of hot water. Tea bags are single use. A side of hot water is a waste of hot water unless it comes with another tea bag. And they didn't give me cream (or ask if I would like any). Even if the wait staff don't drink tea, they should know how to serve it. I ordered the smokehouse combo breakfast, which is two eggs, hash browns, pancakes and two smoked sausages. I'll attach a photo of what I got. Everything but the smoked sausage. It was a spicy hotdog, and it was one, not two. Slicing it down the center and spreading it out does not make it two. It was still only one. Very disappointing breakfast. I was torn between rating this as two stars or one but I finally settled on one. It's really not a good restaurant. They don't give you what they claim and from the receipt, they don't charge properly either. I never ordered an iced tea, but that's what they charged me for. A simple mistake or dishonest? I'm not sure, but either way, I won't be coming back here.

Great food in a no fuss setting. If you're looking for fancy, this isn't the place, but it's a reliable experience dinner experience. Our waitress was awesome! My coffee was never left unfilled and my husband's hashbrowns came out extra crispy like he had asked. The sausage "link" was a jalapeño cheese sausage and amazing, The pancake was huge and homemade for sure. Everything is reasonably priced as well. $29 for two meals and coffee. We ate there on a Saturday around noon and didn't even have to wait for a table. We'll definitely be back.

Turkey & dressing with mash potatoes

Sat down and waited about 7 min before anyone came to ask for my drink ... waited another 10 min before server came to my table to take order just as I was about to get up and walk out... I can't believe this and I come here almost weekly ..smh No more daily specials ...about 7 min later I got my salad...bad service will make me not come back

Freeway Cafe has been a bit of a staple place for my family over the years. It's a small quaint place where everyone learns your name. Food is home cooking and tastes great, our family averages about 14 people weekly here and they always accommodate us. 4 stars only because service was a bit slow today but large groups that can happen.

Classic American decor

The freeway Cafe is a nostalgic source for dinner fare with a menu that offers all the classics This casual Americana restaurant features fun decor with 50's flair. We shared a appetizer sampler platter that contained chili cheese fries, onion rings, fried mushrooms and fried shrimp. The huge plate was a generous meal all by itself. The hamburgers we ordered as classic as it gets. I recommend Freeway Cafe for a casual meal of American classics

Chicken fried steak is more than I can eat. It's real steak, not processed meat products.

Now open for dine in. It's great not having to eat burgers in my truck. The onion rings are a must. The chicken fried steak and the chicken fried chicken is one of my favorites.

Oklahoma Omelette Breakfast
Jack C.

Ok... so let me first off say this is a hole in the wall gem! I'm sad my dad never stopped here when we were a kid and got breakfast....... like if you don't you fall into a bad parent role! So I got the Oklahoma omelette and it's not a wimpy omelette. Thick cuts of ham, sausage, bacon, and beef and and and... ya... done the right way. Cooked just right and warm and steamy! Now I wish my hash brown were a bit more done like my toast was but it was good. I will say they make their own salsa but it wasn't my fav. The guys got chicken fried steak and eggs with a side of biscuits and gravy and uh.... you can split that meal with three people! Fooor real! That chicken fry is off the chart looking but the biscuits and gravy could fee an army!!!! Like legit!

"Turkey Salad"
Darren P.

Turkey salad sounded good till it appeared. Surrounded by pickle slices, the lettuce was covered in a mound of shredded cheese. On top of the cheese we're rolls of turkey. When I say rolls, I mean, like six rolls of Budding processed deli turkey. Oh, there was a hidden gem inside... a long straggly dark hair. Don't think I'll be returning ever.

I love their chicken fried stake dinner. Service has slowed a little bit though. Ambiance is great.

They don't know what salt or any other seasoning is. The most bland food I've ever had. Worse than school cafeteria or hospital food bad.

Great service and food. Price is right and the atmosphere is great. Especially like the model cars and the Elvis mannequin.

Greasy and unappealing. I would call it a hot mess and the staff is just blah! The one on 15th the staff seems stressed.

Nice surprise when looking for breakfast! Decor is dated...seriously dated, but we came for food…read more Waitstaff was friendly and attentive...and they worked together as a team! Everyone helped everyone out...something you don't see often. We were eating KETO so they offered cottage cheese in lieu of hash browns, which we jumped on. Breakfast was good and hot, all fresh ingredients. Did I mention the decor in here is dated....but that's not the food and service which made this a good visit. Priced reasonable...but not cheap. Overall, a place we would definitely eat again!

Not sure where to begin…read more I'll start with Food: I ordered a vegi omelette minus potatoes and toast added fruit. The omelette was not bad, but the fruit was actually a fruit cup... no thanks. The cheese was just sprinkled on not melted. The service was good, I sat at the counter and coffee was filled and refilled promptly. My omelette came out in about 10 minutes. The staff was friendly. The Ambiance: the reason for the two stars. The good.... They have a lot of cool stuff to look at on the wall. But the one thing I always notice is the cooks... my opinion only... they both looked unkept. One was working a million miles per hour like someone on meth. Again just my observation and opinion. Both not wearing gloves and rubbing their nose then back to work on food. The general area looks dirty. The waitresses look very nice on personality but also possible ex addicts. The seat cushions at the counter were ripped and my observations behind the counter just looked dingy and dirty. The owner was waiting at the end of the counter from the time I sat down till the time I left waiting for a guy to show up for a job interview...(waitress friend) the owner wanted to leave but the waitress said he will be here... he's late because he's riding his bike. Appeared to be over an hour late when I left and the guy was not there yet. That owner has more patience than me... if someone was over an hour late to a job interview... he will be late to work with 100 excuses. Not sure what he was thinking waiting that long... seems like a lost cause on that interview. The price for an omelette is super cheap!!! $8.99. So if you're on a budget and want a little risk in life... this is your spot.
