Great everyday spot in Brookside for a casual breakfast or lunch. I'd rate the food 3.5 stars. It's standard fare, although well prepared. The decor is cute, just a touch eclectic, making the atmosphere feel relaxed and inviting. It's a lovely place to catch up with friends over food and drinks when the weather is nice. It is shaded and there are a couple of heaters for cooler days. As for the food, I thought the chicken sandwich was very tasty and prepared well. I've also tried the breakfast quiche, club sandwich, and quinoa salad. All were good, about what you'd expect. The breakfast plates are next on my list for a return visit, especially the omelettes. One thing to note is it does get busy at times. I've been there for lunch during the week a few times and it was surprisingly busy for a weekday. Even so, there is enough seating that I've never had to wait for a table. Street parking on Peoria can be a challenge, however there is a parking lot in the back and it usually isn't difficult to find an open spot. The menu was just the right balance of items that can cater to all dietary needs. This was perfect for my group because we consisted of meat eaters, some time low carbers and vegans lol! The food was great; from the Bodega to the pancakes to the French toast to the smoked salmon to the veggie burger and vegetarian omelette! The cinnamon Rolls in the case and the 9:30 Casserole off the specialty menu are my favorites. The 9:30 Casserole needs to be on the regular menu as it is sold out after a few hours everytime its offered. I especially love the italian coffee as it is different than you'll find anywhere else. i ordered from the faves section of the menu. i can definitely see why it's a favorite, the tremendous nachos. one of the employees suggested that the half order can do enough, good thing i took her word for it. i was curious on how they're prepped: a pile/layer of chips with the fixings or chips separately topped with the fixings. it was the first way, still did it's job. the cheddar, feta, black beans, green chilies, lettuce, green onions & (phenomenal) lime sauce all went well together. the half order definitely did its job. it was just to enough to take care of my hunger for a few hours as i was on the move. i should've asked for more lime sauce, it was SO good! the food didn't take long to come out & the price was $7. their menu is pretty wide. they also serve breakfast, which i'll have to come back to give a try. a lot of coffee seletions along with cocktails. they pretty much have everything covered. they have nice outdoor seating. it gives you a good sighting of brookside's surroundings. read more

Rediscovered Blue Moon upon returning to Tulsa a few years ago and it has easily become our favorite spot in town. They offer breakfast, lunch, takeout, brunch on the weekends and special meal kits to-go. They also serve up daily lunch specials throughout the week and a full list of brunch specials on the weekend, which are absolutely next level. (I'll share some of my favorite specials at the end.) Aside from having incredibly delicious and healthy food, they have fantastic service and the whole place has a really great vibe to it - Which stems from an amazing collection of classic concert posters, contemporary street art, incredible music, a rad collection of salt & pepper shakers, a nice collection of indoor plants and a beautiful patio. Here are a few of my favorite things: for breakfast I usually do the Blue Plate Special (classic eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast) or the Breakfast Quesadilla (so good). For lunch I often go with the special or the cheese burger. It comes with the best fries in the state! No matter what you order, do yourself a favor and get a side of fries. What I love about Blue Moon is that they truly love food, and are always trying out new things. That's why the specials are always next level. One day it will be Fish and Chips, but the next day it might be Bo Ssam lettuce wraps! Here are some items you need to be on the look out for: The Okie Pig Sandwich, 9:30 Casserole, The Notorious BnG, The Deluxe Meatloaf Sandwich, Beef Bun Cha Gio, Pigs in a Blanket (Three sausage links wrapped in 3 pancakes), The Mateo, the Korean Style BBQ Chicken Sandwich, the Campers Breakfast, and last but not least - the Kimchi-brined Chicken Katsu Sando. Some will say this Yelp review is a blatant effort to get EVERYONE to request the Katsu Sando so it will become a regular special, or even -- dare I dream -- a menu item.
