I tried this for the first time today with a friend and was very impressed. It's one of those spots that you have to just go to instead of thinking about it. We walked over to grab a dessert and the lady working the counter was able to share what they served. I tried the Apple Pie Cinnamon Role and will definitely be back to grab it again. The atmosphere was cool and small like a true art room and it was certainly a change of pace. I think everyone should try this place out and have a dessert ! read more

This was a pop-up spot at first. Every time they were available, they'd sell out QUICK! All I wanted to try was their cinnamon rolls & on their last day, I know I didn't have a chance. Then I found out they were going to become permanent, at that point there was no excuse. I got their Morning Bun with Strawberry & it was incredible. There's a blueberry option as well. After looking at the menu for so long, I felt like I needed to get something else & I went with the donut hole. It was the best donut hole I've ever had in my life. The donut hole was a very nice size & I had to fight myself to not get another one. With both selections, I can just taste + sense the difference in using sourdough. I'm going to try the whole menu effortlessly. I'm definitely going to take home some bread to step my sandwich game up. read more

I really want to stop buying commercial bread from the grocery store. It freaks me out that it doesn't go bad, probably due to a bunch of preservative junk. That's why I was super excited to see this cute little bakery open up downtown. They specialize in sourdough, which is higher in nutrients, it raises blood sugar slowly, it's easier to digest, and supports gut health. Everything is made fresh with quality local ingredients. Their menu is simple with boules, baguettes, focaccia, coffee cake, chocolate chip cookies, Morning buns, and cinnamon rolls. This store is an extension of Sourdough Tulsa, which spreads awareness to the benefits of sourdough as well as shares recipes, workshops, and even bread subscriptions. Quality ingredients are super important to them, they use organic flour and non-GMO products. I tried the strawberry and blueberry morning buns and the cookies. The morning buns taste completely different from each other. My favorite was the strawberry one, super fluffy and so delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was the best I've ever had--soft, cheesy and yummy. Can't wait to go back and try the whole wheat boule. The employee at the register mentioned that all their bread freezes really well so I'll report back once I try it. I heard they were open late for First Friday and had cinnamon rolls available. On Friday, Feb 7th, I placed an order for pick up on Saturday Feb 8th. This was a PRE PAID order. My pick up window was between 1 & 2 pm. It takes me 45 minutes to drive to this location. When I was three minutes away, they canceled my order. When I arrived at 1:40, there was a sign on the door stating that they were sold out ! When I explained to the girl that opened the door that I PRE PAID for this yesterday, her response was "Someone just came in and bought everything". Ummm....You sold them things I had PRE PAID for !!!! In addition to wasting an hour and a half of my time, as well as my monies not being returned to my account for 15 days ? ....Do not support this business. read more

Lucky enough to try their Too Good To Go Surprise bag a few weeks ago and very happy with their breads! We went Saturday for their 1 year Anniversary. Arrived at about 10am and about 5 people in line ahead of us. Small quaint front area with a few seats to enjoy your tasty treat! We got the Jalapeño Cheddar Boule, Nut & Berry Boule, Baguette, and had to sample the cookies. The baguette was still warm and delicious. Nice crunch and a hint of salt (could use a tad more ). All were delicious and tasty as we enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner! The cookies were fabulous. Not over cakey, doughy or sweet. Had the right amount of sweetness and chew. Tucked into the Arts District this bakery prides itself on a quality product unlike any you'll get from a store. It definitely harkens back to the old days of the neighborhood baker. There's one catch. They don't just specialize in sourdough...they are exclusively sourdough. They have an amazing variety of baked goods from rolls to boules, focaccia and even cinnamon rolls, but they're all sourdough based. Even if you think you don't like sourdough, give them a try. You may be surprised, especially with their sweets. Their cinnamon rolls are the stuff of cravings. Be sure you arrive early. They're open until two, but close when they run out...and around holidays that's very likely to happen! I passed by Slate Sourdough and decided that I need to forego the complimentary breakfast at my hotel the next morning. I arrived promptly at 8:00 am the following morning and purchased a mini boule and small cinnamon roll. Both were excellent. The bread had a wonderfully chewy crust and I devoured the whole loaf. The cinnamon roll was perfect...not overly sweet or dense. I would go back in a heartbeat when in the area. Friendly service, too! read more

Bread was good because it was fresh but nothing exceptional and definitely not worth the price. The sign they have with all their pricing must be incorrect or they added a tip without asking because the total was wayyyy off. One round of sourdough, a cinnamon roll, and a slice of focaccia bread was $50. I didn't expect it to be cheap but $50 is crazy for bread. When I asked for the receipt they said it'd be sent to me but I never got it. read more
