MedNoc Training College

MedNoc Training College does terrible business. They are unorganized and unprofessional. I've…read moreattempted to take 3 different certificate courses with them going back as early as January of 2025 and it's been nothing but issues the entire time. Prior to them switching their application process to online, it was a paper application. They lost my first paper application with my SSN on it and I should have discontinued business with them immediately. Unfortunately, I attempted to enroll in a phlebotomy course in September. After paying over $400 for the deposit on a Friday I was informed that I would not be able to attend clinical rotation due to my job schedule. I called and told them the following Monday and I was informed by the receptionist Michele that I would receive my refund via check in the mail within 4 weeks. Again, this was mid September. When I didn't receive my refund after Thanksgiving, I began calling them. Each time I called I was only able to speak to Michele and each time she would tell me that Joel, the man responsible for sending refunds, was never in office or he was on the phone with "state". I emailed Joel on December 3rd and I never got a response. Still, I continued to call daily. This week I decided to ask for Joel's supervisor but each time I was told both he & Joel were in meetings with "state". I asked Michele to provide me with Joel's supervisor email address and she stated she could not because "he is the president of the college". I found that weird since every other institute of higher learning I've attended, I've been able to contact the president, whether by email or scheduling an appointment. It was on this same phone call that Michele also told me that no refunds would be sent until they were signed by Joel's supervisor, Paul, the president of the school. At this point this has been ongoing for two weeks so I sent in a formal complaint to the state board of education and the BBB. Please see next post

It was after these two things were done that I called mednoc training college again but this time…read morethe call was never answered. I waited on hold for 10 minutes when my spirit told me to ask my best friend to call on three way and wouldn't you know THE CALL WAS ANSWERED ON THE FIRST RING by Michele, which confirms that they recognize my name and number (previous calls Michele would ask "is the number you are calling from the best to reach back?")I never verbally provided my number to anyone at this point. Michele tells me that Joel won't be in until later in the afternoon and that Paul was on a meeting call with state, yet again. At this time I do some detective work and locate the name of the president/Joel's supervisor (Michele didnt give me his name, just his title) as well as his email address and personal cell phone number. Fast forward to 2:31pm, I call and a male voice I had never heard answered. I say "Is this Joel?" He confirms that is who I am speaking. He immediately tells me I can come and pick the check up. Not "the check has been mailed" as it was supposed to be but I now have to inconvenience myself to physically pick the check up. I drive to mednoc campus and after a short wait Michele comes up, I tell her my name and that I am here to pick up my check. She returns with a small packet of paper and requests that I sign for the check before it can be handed to me. Why am I being required to sign for something that was originally scheduled to be mailed to me months prior? Because of my continuos issues with this "business" I take a closer look at what I am being asked to sign and notice that my refund has been deducted by over $300. I ask Michele why there is a difference in pay and she informs that Paul stated due to me dropping the class after attending for "some weeks" the refund policy in place meant that I would not receive my full refund. I immediately tell Michele to get Paul so we can discuss the difference in our understandings of my drop time compared to when I enrolled and paid for the course. Michele lets me know that Paul has already left for the day, even though he knew I was coming to collect my refund. I exit the building without signing or taking the check. I call and inform Joel of my extreme unhappiness with their institute. I searched LinkedIn and found Paul's cell phone number number and email address that had been previously denied to me. I called his cell and he didn't answer nor is the voicemail setup, so I send an email detailing my issues. He responded to my email after business hours and atttached the schools refund policy. Per the refund policy, all monies refunded would be mailed via check within 30 days; which confirms an immediate breach of contract due to me being asked to come and retrieve the check and the fact it was well over 30 days. Another thing I noticed on the refund policy Paul provided was the statement (1 Three-Day Cancellation: All monies paid by an applicant shall be refunded if requested within three days after signing an enrollment agreement and making an initial payment.) This also confirms my thought that I should be receiving a full refund because I paid for the class on a Friday and cancelled the following Monday. Nora with the state board has also reached out to Paul and requested an itemized list of what I am being charged for. If I do not hear back from her at end of business Tuesday December 16th, she has asked that I call her Wednesday. December 17th I called and spoke to Nora. She stated that mednoc provided her all 6 documents she requested. She immediately noticed that the enrollment agreement was signed on October 10th but I made payment on October 9th, which I confirmed with my bank statement. The documents also show that I called and cancelled/unenrolled the following Monday, October 13th. She will continue her investigation but states it could be until after the new year. I inform her that's unacceptable given the fact the refund was originally to be mailed to me mid November at the latest. On Friday December 19th I received an email from Paul apologizing for their mistake and information proving a full refund to the original form of payment was issued. I also received a phone call confirming this from Nora. As of Wednesday December 24th I had not received the refund and according to my bank there was no refund status to my account at all. I decided to file a dispute with my bank showing proof that the refund was promised and I received my full refund on December 28th. While the main issue was resolved after many inconveniences, I'm still left with a bad taste in my mouth about this institution and I want others to be fully aware before they decide to further their education with this school.

So many resources for people to train for jobs, get help with resume writing, open up a new business, gain/improve skills, or just take a cooking class. I know of teachers who come in on the weekends in order to help students prepare for contests, interviews etc. Staff has pulled together to donate suits and interview "clothes" for students who need it. Adult students looking for career changes have lots of classes from which to choose. Businesses ask Moore Norman to develop and implement training for them. This place is outstanding!

I was in cybersecurity program with a teacher named Mrs. Millican, If you're an adult looking for cybersecurity program, this is not the one or at least the first year, I spent half the year with no teacher & when she did come in, we would go over maybe 5-10 page slides & that would be all the teaching she would do for the whole day, & she would sit at her desk, on her phone & do her own school work while she had 18 kids to teach by the time the end of the semester rolled around, 3 out of the 18 students passed the core 1. Overall MNTC cybersecurity is abysmal, you sit front on a computer watching several 10 mins video, with no teacher because she didn't know or how to engage with us, no hands on learning. There's a reason Oklahoma is ranked 49th in edu & unfortunately this class proved why.
