Unfortunately I left this orientation feeling worse than I did going in to it. I was made to feel that my son's reading ability, or lack there of, was my fault for not making books interesting or intriguing to him. I'm a working mother of 4, who is also going to school part time. I came here looking for something or someone to come along side me to help my son. A place that would encourage him and me, but sadly, all I got was chastised for not cultivating a love of reading in my child in the first place. All this from someone who has no idea about my life or situation. Needless to say, I won't be going to this center and maybe they ought to change their sales pitch because you only sold me on not being a good fit for my family.

Also I want to emphasize the benefit of going to the center during the summer! It will make a big difference when your child starts a new school year in math. My son has been going to Mahnasium Norman for about 7 years. He says he wants to keep going. The main reason is he can receive the quality of great service. According to my son, the math teachers in school are always rushing when he asks questions. Therefore, he is hesitant to ask anymore questions even though he hasn't fully understood. Whereas, the staff at Mathnasium are very patient and professional in teaching. My son feels comfortable asking questions and they break down the problems until he fully understands. Some children sometimes need extra steps to understand math, however, not all educators and tutors understand that. I personally think that is the biggest problem for many children. Mathnasium is a center for all children who are advanced or behind. I am so grateful to the center. My son is taking an advanced math and keeping good grades. It's all the result of great friendly and skilled staff!

The architecture style is called Cherokee Gothic and quite amazing to behold. We would be proud if our kids were to consider attending here when that time comes!
