Good local greasy spoon type of place with that southern hospitality! Skip the big box places and go to Mom's! Their omelets are the best with a side of hashbrowns! O!M!G! The biscuits & gravy are the real deal too! No canned gravy served here! You can taste the quality and love that is put into it. Now the only dish for breakfast that I've had and didn't care about was the chicken and waffles. The waffles were perfect and fluffy but the chicken was bland for some reason. It was fried golden brown and the chicken was not over cooked but for reasons I can't explain the overall fried chicken was bland. It's not to say that maybe I'll try it again because everywhere will have an off day but that was the only thing I've ever had here that was less than what I wanted. Everything else has been on point! The server I had was so sweet and so helpful. I wish I could remember her name. Her family was dining there also but that didn't take away from us or them. By way of an update, I'm adding this.... While running errands yesterday, we stopped in at Mom's because it was, well, right there. Since it was later in the day, I opted not to go with breakfast fare. My mistake. Ordered their 'Great American Cheese Burger'. There was nothing Great about it. I did have American Cheese on it. As for the burger, it was probably the worst burger I've had in living memory. I was hungry as a horse, I could only stomach about half of it. Good thing the wife ordered the ham steak breakfast, and the Kid ordered chicken fingers. I was able to bat cleanup on their and not come away hungry. How in the name of all things holy any diner can content itself with serving a frozen beef patty and call it a hamburger is beyond me. This debacle served to put Mom's in the 'breakfast ONLY' category as far as I'm concerned. read more

We love to eat at Mom's for breakfast, if it's not too packed (it often is). Their breakfasts are really yummy, the wait staff is always so nice, and we have never had them refuse to change a plate to what we would like to have if it's not specifically on the menu. With several big breakfast chains in Owasso, this place is so underrated and it's really a shame. Mom's is your classic no frills, what-you-see-is-what-you-get type of diner. The service is always great, the food is fresh, the coffee flows freely, and the prices are super reasonable. This is my husband's and I go to place for breakfast. I both love and hate that sometimes it is so busy that we have to go elsewhere. But definitely give it a shot! read more

We were over looked!!!! So why do I give Mom's a five star review? The experience started when we were looking for a place to sit and eat after a long night of driving. We found Mom's and decided it was our spot to relax for a while. We placed our names on the waitlist and that's where it all began. As we were waiting out side we observed a number of people making it inside. An employee, so we thought, came outside and called another name. I asked her where we were on the list and that's when she told us that our name had been crossed off the list. Three more parties had been seated since bending crossed off. So naturally we were a little upset and about to leave. That's when we found out the "employee" was actually the owner. She immediately found us a seat, and then upgraded us from a small two person top to a larger six person booth once it became available. She compensated us by not charging us for our drinks and a little extra off the bill. But, it didn't stop there. She made sure we didn't have to ask for anything and our orders came out very quickly. The food, it's amazing too. We had a western omelette, meat lover omelette, hash browns, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, coffee, orange juice and bacon. Everything was cooked to perfection. I would absolutely go there again. For those looking for a photo of our meal, I'm sorry. I usually don't write reviews. read more

Would give five stars for breakfast crew but one or no stars to night crew. Good in the morning but when nigh or dinner crew starts (my guess is when owner goes home) the radio is loud and the food quality suffers. Total transformation from the two different crews. One cares the other not sure what the problem is but now I see why they are not that busy in the evenings. Was skeptical at first based on location and how small the place was . However! Let me tell you the breakfast is like having a hot home cooked meal. The waitresses are always on top of things and keep your coffee full. They are friendly and great at what they do. The only downside is they are small and it's seat yourself so you may have to wait. My husband and I invited an elderly man to join our table so he didn't have to wait or eat alone. He was wonderful and loved listening about his life. read more

We stopped in for breakfast on our way to KCMO. On first sight it was a tiny building and there was one car in the parking lot. We were skeptical. Inside was very cozy. I wish I could think that every place was created equally but I will not be coming back to this location. I have frequently visited the Broken Arrow location and always felt welcome. This Owasso location not so much. They don't recognize you and give you weird looks. I am going to say it might be because I'm the only one wearing a mask in the establishment. That's probably it. My sister also went in and felt the same unwelcome vibes. I asked for ketchup and jam and they forgot. When I went back in the lady proceeded to give me an entire bag. I simply said thank you and walked out. Mind you I have these items at home but I like to see what is served as if I am eating in the restaurant. I wasn't even going to go into the establishment but they don't offer curbside on the weekends according to the lady who answered the phone. However there was a sweet lady before her who had said they could do it on a previous call.
