The food selection felt like back when I was in elementary school but better since chicken and noodles was on the line when I visited. The line to get the food can get long during peak hours, but the dessert selection had plenty of pies to choose from. I noticed that there were some vintage dishes on the line such as jello salad and marshmallow salad which is rare these days.

There was some sort of "fish." The fish was gooey, by the way. There was a sign that said something like "eat all you take" or something like that. So, being the person I am, I ate it all. For the desert, I must say, i don't like pie, but their pie's looked GOOD! I had the serve your self ice cream. It took me 5 minutes to find what you put the ice cream in (if you don't like cones, sorry, it's not for you.) It's just vanilla soft serve that's pretty good . Also, the staff was vey nice. It was very pricey for Oklahoma, but still cheap. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning from this and threw up. The milk in ice cream was expired I think.

The slaw had too much sauce which made the cabbage soft. I asked if I could exchange it for steamed vegetables. They took my slaw but didn't bring the vegetables. Our nephew got a loaded baked potato with his meal and it looked tempting. My sister in law got a rib eye sandwich which came with potato chips. They served it without any sauce, but brought sauce when she requested it. I overheard her tell her husband it was overcooked. The servers were friendly. I'd say we got good service, but two very large groups ordered right before us causing the kitchen to be backed up. We had to wait a considerable amount of time for our food. That gave us more time to visit with our nephew whom we hadn't seen for a long time. I wish we had not forgotten to take pictures of the food since most reviews are a few years old and a lot changes in that amount of time.

OMG! What a great establishment! Very nice dinning area and fabulous service! I went to go eat with my mom and 92 full bood Native American grandmother and in small times we never know about the atmosphere. We were welcomed and a table with a group of men paid for our meal! The server even asked us before taking our order if we were ready to order or if we'd like to chat awhile first. Dan and I both got 2 eggs over medium with hash browns, biscuits and gravy and meat. He got ham and I got extra crispy bacon. I noticed the server high lighted extra crispy and I appreciated that because it came out perfect. I've never seen bacon that looked better and it was delicious. Our friends got the same thing except they got country fries instead of hash browns. They said they were really good. Next time I go to Mom's that's what I will get. You just have to know the restaurant to know which is better, hash browns or country fries. I've had country fries that were dry and not very tasty, but Mom's country fries looked excellent and our friends raved about them. The hash browns were crispy on the outside, but just under the crispy top were shredded potatoes with no crisp at all. Another of my favorite restaurants serves hash browns crispy all the way through but the country fries are not so good. The gravy at Mom's is thick and creamy, just as I like. The entire breakfast was good. We will be back.

The CFS was thin but very tender with a very mild flavor. Nothing too fancy or exciting but not disappointing. The biscuit was similarly mild and quite acceptable. Tender enough and fluffy enough to fill the role of a receptacle for the creamy and very lightly peppered gravy. If there is a stand-out item on this plate it is the German potatoes. Grilled crispy on the outside and soft inside these are a nice change from the usual hash browns or so often poorly done "home fries". I definitely recommend Hugo's if you want a classic diner breakfast in Claremore.
