It was not, then sent back, still not how I asked for it. The owner/manager asked if it was correct, said no. She said they should deep fry it. Which is what I asked for when I ordered it. The barbako skillet was excellent. The turkey Swiss avocado sandwich was good. Overall Not sure... eggs were prepared exactly as requested, sandwich was quite good. Apparently, they can't or wont cook turkey bacon correct. The third time, when they made it the way I asked was good. Military Only the military member and only if not a special... so not really.

My Sister said she burped up what tasted like "old pork grease" which was on the green beans. We ordered "loaded" baked potatoes which had a sparse bit of FAKE bacon bits, a tiny bit of dried chives & a tiny bit of cheese. RIDICULOUS!!! And they charge extra for that? The bill plus tip was almost $50.00 for 2 people (I had water to drink). This was my Birthday Dinner. Next time I will definitely be going to Thomas' Restaurant in Pryor. Sorry "Old Street" you definitely dropped the ball on this one.

We spent under $20 for both of us, which is almost unheard of these days. I had to bring my boyfriend here for his first visit, and he loved it. He ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and a pickle on the side, and he said it was delicious. I stole a few of his fries, and they were perfectly crispy. I stuck with my usual BLT, adding onions and pickles, and it was just as good as I remembered. I also ordered a side of potato salad, which tastes homemade and definitely doesn't seem store-bought. We grabbed a piece of cherry pie to go, although I don't have a picture because it disappeared very quickly in the car! Overall, Dot's is still an awesome little diner with great food, friendly prices, and that classic hole-in-the-wall charm that keeps me coming back. Definitely still a five-star favorite.

There is nothing fancy about this location. There are only tables and the chairs are literally cafeteria style chairs. They are not comfortable at all. The staff (Kim) was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My wife ordered the lemon curd and blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon. I ordered the Strawberry French Toast, over medium eggs and sausage patties. They serve Coca-Cola products. The service was very prompt and the food quantity was acceptable. My wife's order included 3 good sized pancakes and she said they were delicious. The eggs were done to her approval, and she loved the bacon. The French Toast comes with 3 half slices of bread, topped with 3-4 fresh strawberry halves and drizzled with the strawberry cream cheese icing. The French Toast, although tasting ok, was disappointing that it was not allowed to soak long enough in egg batter and the crust was very tough and hard to cut through with a fork. The eggs were done very well, and the sausage was very flavorful. I had a piece of my wife's bacon and I loved it and will be ordering it next time. Yes, the place has some work to do on appearance and upping their French Toast game, but we will be back to give them another chance on a different menu item as there are so many to choose from.

So doing an update to this one since it's under new management and it deserves a second shot…read more Saw a post on Facebook the other day that this place was under new ownership/management and decided why not. Found myself most of the way there during lunch, so I stopped in for a try. The decor hasn't changed a lot since the last time I was in. Very much the small home town diner vibe. Nothing fancy, simple decorations in a small dining area, maybe seating 40 people in a pinch. Service was prompt and very friendly. I looked over the menu and special board and decided to go with my standard litmus test of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, white gravy and green beans. If you can't do those, you probably can't do anything. Food arrived very quickly and was hot and looked great. The green beans were outstanding. Lots of ham chunks in there along with what must have been diced bacon bites. A very good offering there. The mashed potatoes were scratch made, no doubt. Creamy and well seasoned. Gravy was smooth and had a decent flavor too, not thin, watery or bland. The CFS was probably one of the better ones I've had of late. Easily an 8 out of 10 compared to other places. I asked my server if it was a frozen job or scratch made, and she took pride in telling me it was hand breaded to order. Crust to meat ratio was spot on, with no crust slippage, which is the bane of many CFSs. Good flavor, cooked properly.... almost fork tender. There was a couple of places the connective fibers in the meat were a little too much for the fork, but with a knife, it all cut like butter. With a glass of iced tea and a $5 tip, total ran to just over $22. Maybe a tad higher than I would like, but I certainly feel I got my money's worth, so I ain't complaining. My CC receipt shows the new name as Tay's Place, so I'd recommend being on the lookout for them if you're in the C'ville area, between breakfast and 2pm.

The décor is like every small-town diner in Oklahoma. Big menu, daily specials, fair prices. The service is excellent. Friendly welcoming small-town ambiance; everyone in the diner seems to know each other. Politics, the topic of the morning. This is Karen's Country Diner. Fair warning. Fun fact: if you want more meat or two meats on a sandwich you can order the two meat meal and just add a bun for $1. I thought that was cool! The baked beans taste like chili beans to me with a little bit of a bbq taste or just like sweet chili beans minus the meat. It's okay... I'd maybe come again to try more of the menu.
