Biscuits and Gravy. Ham and eggs. Pancakes.

Great little place! Home cooking at its best. The waitress was so courteous and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is small, not much room inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were a lot of locals here which tells you that it's a good place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had different breakfast plates and all three of us were impressed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you like the small diner atmosphere with home comfort food, this is definitely the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Be sure to watch your head when you come in the back door! Brick sized, square biscuits and house made gravy; unquestionably the morning crowd's favorite in this cubbyhole of a restaurant. The thick biscuits were on every table and kept coming as new diners wedged themselves into the restaurant to find a nook or cranny that wasn't occupied. That is what my wife had with a side of crispy bacon. I went with two eggs, bacon (crap I forgot to order mine crispy,) hash browns, and the square cut biscuit and gravy on the side. On the plate: 4 or 5 thick strips of tasty limp, smoky salty bacon, hash browns fair, two eggs (farm fresh) cooked to a perfect sunny side up and the very disappointing biscuit and gravy. Although substantial portions, these square cut cake pan biscuits just don't work for me. Kudos for the scratch made gravy, but it was so flavorless that it could not be revived after several liberal applications of salt and pepper. The coffee was pale and tasteless like the gravy. The portions are generous, especially the biscuit and gravy serving. I believe that is what drives their popularity with the crowd. The dining area is clean. The service is absolutely welcoming, friendly and attentive. Excellent service! There is a large public parking lot to the East; just a few hundred feet from the front door. Even with my criticism Dot's is worth a try for several reasons. It is a memorable experience just to squeeze into the little restaurant. The service is fantastic. The menu is big! It is likely that there is something on it that will tickle your innards. A 4.5-star rating on Google confirms that other diners have found some jewels in the menu. Breakfast here just didn't dazzle me. Other: If you don't have Google maps on your phone there is a sign over the kitchen door that provides directions to the outhouse. You also get a tour of the kitchen with the trip. Watch your head on the back door. It is low. Don't ask me how I know.

We happened to be in Claremore recently, and wanted to give Dot's a go. VERY glad we did. As others have mentioned, Dot's is a hole in the wall for sure. Very small and cozy (as in you can almost sample your neighbor's plate, it's that close), it nonetheless is a neat little place to eat. The Wife got the basic pancake breakfast and had way more than she could manage. She was very happy with everything, there was just a lot of food. I had an omelet, hash browns and biscuit/gravy. The omelet was a tad undercooked, but still outstanding. Hashbrowns just like mom used to make and the biscuit was huge, soft and went perfectly with the gravy. Service was stellar, food was outstanding... what's not to like?

Tried the mocha. It was fine, but too sweet. The chocolate overpowered the coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has a nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices are reasonable.

Wonderful hole in the wall place. I was pretty impressed with breakfast. The white gravy is real, which is extremely rare these days. Loved the meringue on their lemon pie too. They said pies are homemade by a lady that makes them for years.

I was expecting a thin pork chop and was pleasantly surprised by this thick juicy chop. A small place that delivers on great food.

A gem to find! We were pleasantly surprised by the large portions. We will definitely come back next time we're in town.

Decent breakfast. It's tiny and you have to go out back thru the kitchen if you want to use the restroom.

Friendly wait staff and fast service. Overall I walked away very full and very happy!…read more Your first tough decision is going to be which flavor of pie to order. They had an additional list on top of what is on the menu. I chose a flavor I've never had in pie form. The German chocolate pie and it was very tasty. I loved the pecans and coconut. What I loved the most was the flaky crust--so good! The salad is pretty standard, but it was fresh and crisp. The ranch dressing is fabulous, homemade, and made the salad delicious. The lunch portion of chicken fried chicken I received was on the large side. It was seasoned very well, and I loved the seasonings. The meat was so tender and juicy! I know I got my food just a few minutes after the it was fried. It couldn't have been more fresh. The star of my meal was the mashed red potatoes and gravy. They actually cook and mash real potatoes. It is so hard to find this when dining out. They used the perfect amount of salt. It's been a long time since I have not added salt to my meal but I didn't need to here. Oh, the little bun was homemade too and so yummy. I loved everything I ate! Can't wait to go back.

I am gluten-free and also meat free and they were super nice about the whole thing. My waitress was gluten-free and she was amazingly helpful. Her name is Ashlee. I had the Cobb salad and substituted the chicken that I couldn't eat into more eggs and she suggested if I wanted a dessert that she could give me scoops of the filling and the topping and I wouldn't have to deal with the crust issue of having gluten. It worked out great, so I was happy about the experience. The Cobb salad was huge and someone was the bowl of pie insides!
