Nice location and the staff did well on the service. The food was good except the scrambled eggs on some of the plates were over cooked but they were busy. The sausage was my favorite with it tasting fresh and not processed. The food portions are great and the price was average to a hair higher than other breakfast places.

I thought half was just going to be 1 biscut... wow imagine a full order...

First time last week with my brother. Amount of portions was big and great. Server and services was on point. 100% good vibe breakfest spot.

Met some friends for breakfast here and this was a really great breakfast spot in Owasso! Their iced coffee was absolutely delicious and their food was tasty! No complaints from anyone at the table in our group of 6. The service was consistent and they did check on us.

Great breakfast spot in Owasso. We love the sticky biscuit. I was surprised at how good their chicken tenders were as well. Husband got the yard bird chicken biscuit and it was very flavorful.

This is diner food. Diner food is pretty basic and simple. It's comfort meals: meat and potatoes, eggs and hash browns, biscuits and gravy. Big Biscuit does diner food fine without any pretense beyond a marquee-style BISCUITS sign on one wall. You can find the same menu in city diners throughout the country at perhaps $1-2 less per entree. And, this diner is only open for breakfast and lunch. Meals didn't Wow! but they didn't disappoint either. I don't know if BB is trying to be more, but I'd say it's on par with Denny's and IHOP. Service from our server Samantha was exceptional, which elevated this review from "meh."

Solid three. Totally a BIG breakfast place. We have friends that have raved about it and how they have to stand in line to get a table every weekend. We went to try it on a very non-busy early weekday morning. Staff was friendly and I like the interior (totally could not tell it had once been a McAlisters). I got the Mayberry (one biscuit with gravy, hashbrowns and a sausage and cheese omelet)--around $12. The Hubs got a half order of biscuits and gravy (around $6). My advice, go with the half order. The omelet was not worth the extra money. Otherwise, our plates were the same. Omelet was overdone. Coffee was good and they have a few specialty coffee drinks on the menu. This would be a fun place to bring the fam when they're in town. Be prepared for breakfast fare and a lot of it!

The biscuits and gravy here rank up there in the top 3 for me! Amazingly good. My son had the French toast and loved it. It was busy and lively. Not a quiet place but not loud either. The service was fast and very friendly. I noticed that many of the servers were either high school age and college age - and all that I observed and interacted with were polite, helpful, and generally pleasant! I applaud The Big Biscuit for hiring and training younger employees. We will be back - often - as it was an overall great experience.

The food is fabulous and staff are very friendly! Great decor and very clean. My only hesitation is the high calories in most meals.

the scram-bowls are arguably the best item on the menu (alongside the sticky biscuit) but try subbing the home fries for the hashbrowns.

I saw on a chalk board when we arrived that they had a special of wings and fries. I asked about them, and they were bone in but no sauce. Just fried wings. So I went with a chicken fried steak dinner instead. I like to compare all of the chicken fried steaks in Muskogee. My side salad was simple and tasty with house made ranch. The gravy was very good, and the Texas toast was thick. The downfall was the chicken fried steak. It's a frozen one just deep fried. It was good, but I love a hand breaded chicken fry. The burgers are fresh and not frozen though because the husband had a Cajun burger. But we aren't sure why it was called Cajun unless they just used Cajun spice. 2 teas, a chicken fried steak dinner, and a burger and fries was $35 though, and I think that was just too steep for the quality of diner food. I think mainly because we are spoiled in Muskogee by several other fantastic diners with extremely cheap prizes. I think if I go back to Back in Time, I'll get breakfast. It seems to be the most popular option.

The best breakfast in Chelsea and for miles around in any direction…read more I really like this old-fashioned diner/cafe. Small cozy comfortable old building, the walls lined with historical photos and advertising. Welcoming friendly staff keep your coffee cup full and the big menu selection covers all three daily meals. Daily Specials are hand written on the white board by the counter. Grab a table by the window, relax and watch authentic rural Oklahoma life pass by on the street. Or select one of the limited stools at the counter, ponder about the weather for the day with the locals; or visit with the staff and watch Granny make delicious homemade meringue pies. As I was paying the bill, Granny walked by with a chocolate meringue headed to the pie safe (display case). It was stacked high with light fluffy whipped egg whites and then baked just long enough to give it that perfect pie suntan. The young lady at the register said the restaurant had been in business for over 30 years. It is an icon in the community. My wife and I both had the 2-egg breakfast, with bacon (came with four strips of thick smokey bacon), hash browns, and a biscuit with gravy. All cooked country diner perfect. Great service. This is where you eat breakfast on 66. It may be the best for other diner style meals too. I have reliable sources that have rated the burgers here as excellent. Check out the old brick paved street on Pine St. on the N.W. side of the restaurant as you walk back to your car. Across the street viewable from our table, there is a controversial sign on the building stating that Chelsea was the location of the first oil well in Oklahoma. There are three or four other sites in Oklahoma that claim the same, as the first. An unsettled Oklahoma controversy. Quiet, friendly little town, a relaxing diner with excellent food.

So when we had a chance to partake in a large family gathering at Murphy's I was looking forward to the experience. Upon walking in, I was very surprised at the place as it reminded more of an old diner than a steakhouse. Open since 1946, Murphy's looks like it's been around that long. Lined with red leather seated booths, there was no place for our group of nine to sit except for a round corner booth where we all crammed into like sardines. The menu was quaint, filled with mainly diner dishes and comfort foods. I decided on the favorite, the "Hot Hamburger", which was basically a hamburger on toast, topped with french fries and onions, coated with brown gravy. Service was fine given the fact they were packed with patrons when we arrived. The food was hot and fresh, including the homemade french fries. Everyone in our group seemed content with their food choices. The only real problem was how we were crammed into one little booth and there was no room to relax and visit. I would recommend Murphy's to anyone looking for a home style meal. If you're looking for a steak house experience, try somewhere else or you'll be disappointed.
