Will not go back. Biscuits with gravy, was soggy biscuits with runny gravy, no sausage in the gravy, no flavor. Pancake was like rubber. Never again. Rude service. I suppose because it was my first time there and I wasnt a local, that I was treated rudely. Never again. read more

Stopped in this morning while on business in Skiatook, as this place has been on my radar screen for some time now. Being mid-morning, it wasn't at all crowded, so I can't honestly judge serving times during a rush, so this review reflects that. I opted for a posted special, which was 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage (sausage for me, because 2 pieces of bacon is just a travesty), hash browns and biscuits/gravy. My server advised I could get sausage gravy for $.25 more, so why not. Coffee hit the table in record time, along with the food. The eggs were scrambled, done well without being overcooked. The hashbrowns were a great representation, being a little crispy on the outside, with nice, moist steamy potatoes inside the pile. The sausage was a letdown, to be honest. These were just the run of the mill thin frozen patties you can get at WalMart. While they do have flavor in their own right, I always hold out hope that a diner can offer up a decent homemade sausage, or at the very least, some Jimmy Dean or Potter's. The biscuits and gravy were outstanding. Fluffy, flaky biscuits and a decently thick and tasty gravy. Not a lot of sausage in the gravy, but enough to get a few good bites. Don't get me wrong. This was a good breakfast. I all but licked the plates. It was all there, nothing lacking, and definitely matched my expectations. I walked away full and satisfied, sausage notwithstanding. If I'm in the neighborhood around breakfast or lunchtime, I won't hesitate to drop back in. read more

Great food and quick service! Waitress very friendly. She came came back several times to check on us. We used to go there every week, but it has been years since we were there. stopped at the Brown Cow Diner for first time. several things: server seated us with menus and took our drink order. there was two of us. drinks came out quickly and then it was like we were invisible for the next 20-30 minutes. two people came in just after us, got their drinks, placed order and got their food. we were still waiting to order. next group came in - seated, drinks, ordered and received order. we were still waiting.... then another group came in. they got drinks and ordered. we may have ordered before them but they received food first. finally we received food. we only ordered an Indian taco and beans and cornbread. it was good and big portions. never once checked on us to see if we needed anything etc. told all her locals bye as they left, and checked on them. never said boo to us as we left. I would not recommend if you aren't local. my husband left 20 percent tip which was to much in my opinion but he was trying to be nice! there were at least 4 people in the kitchen. if I could leave zero stars I would!!!! read more

Just had an excellent breakfast here. The special was country fried pork, eggs and hash browns with a homemade biscuit and gravy. As we say in the south, it was smack your momma good!!! The place was hopping with locals but that didn't slow our waitress down a bit. Food was out in a hurry, the coffee cup was never empty and I walked out very satisfied! Great friendly service and good food. Breakfast is great. Hamburgers is awesome. My favorite is the Indian tacos.

The food and service was very good and large portions at a very reasonable price. What kept me from a 5 star was the establishment using frozen pork cutlet and bagged gravy. But, then again, I didn't pay a huge price for the meal. read more

We decided to take a day trip and Drove all the way here (43 miles) and they we're closed on a Saturday. We arrived at lunch time. So disappointing. I wouldn't go back if they were serving free food to entire planet. I would forage for berries first. I don't understand places that are closed on Saturday and they automatically lose my business. read more

This establishment is disgusting. After walking in, the cloth chairs were dirty, dusty, and had food caked on them. The floors were absolutely filthy. I don't think they have ever cleaned this place. I was not able to keep an appetite long enough to order. As we were leaving, we paid for our drinks and as we were leaving, the server literally looked at us like we were rude. I politely did not tell her why we were leaving because I see she was working hard. But if a place is that disgusting, I won't eat from the kitchen I cannot see. Hygiene in a restaurant is key, along with service. I will never eat there, not matter how good their food reputation is. read more
