I felt like I was here a few months ago, come to find out it's been a year. After having the French Toast, I felt like I cheated this place by not ordering something biscuit related. I was in the area to pickup something & had my mind set on coming here & ordering the Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit. There was also a Pecan Cold Brew written on a chalkboard between two TVs. I had to order that & that was good! The right amount of sweetness. It was brand new & it was the waitress's first time making it (who also used to be a barista) & I told the waitress that I couldn't tell because it was so good. Now, talking about good, this biscuit did exactly what it was supposed to do. I picked it up when I had no business doing so , the chicken was about half the size of my plate, no exaggeration. I just ate the whole thing with a fork & kept it moving. I loved the fried potatoes. The customer service was A1. I had an initial waitress, when they weren't around & helping around the place, another staff member would come by. Even the manager came by to make sure I + everything was good. We were greeted quickly. Seated pretty much immediately. There's really high ceilings in here and a lot of kids so it was incredibly loud. You could hear every time somebody set their fork down across the room. Our server was nice but ordering was torture. I told her what I wanted and all of the choices that were available to me with that thing. She picked up her handheld device and asked a question that made no sense to me so I told her one more time exactly what I wanted. Then when she started putting it in her device I had to answer, no kidding, at least 10 more questions most of them things I had already said except for all of the questions she asked trying to upsell every step of the order. Literally, do I want anything extra on top of my over medium eggs. I know it's prompting her to ask me and so it's a corporate Big Biscuit thing that was absolutely not enjoyable in any way. Also, we told her we were sharing it and she had to ask if we wanted an extra plate. Seems self evident... Hopefully this food we're waiting on right now is awesome. Because so far, it has not been a lot of fun. The food took a minute but it is Sunday morning. We ordered the big breakfast and it comes out on two plates anyway. They did bring the extra plate though. Over medium eggs were perfectly cooked. Sausage patty was a little spicy and delicious. Bacon was perfectly cooked to my liking. Nice and crispy Glad as a pancake so most likely baked. Then piece of ham fried but not too hard which is not easy to do and it was very good. Grits have no flavor definitely add some cheese to them but they have a good consistency. Gravy is okay. Could use a little more sausage but isn't completely bland. When they say big biscuit they mean it. Hubby says it's good. Buttermilk is not my thing. I got a pancake for dessert. Absolutely amazing. So good when they say big dinner plate size they mean it. Cons: So a friend of mine wanted to eat here because it made a list of gluten safe places to eat. But the waitress had no idea what was gluten-free and what wasn't. They definitely did not have gluten-free bread options. We eventually had to look up the gluten-free options online and Google AI generated a list of things my friend could eat. I think my friend ended up eating an egg scramble with really pale tomatoes. She did not like her meal. Service was not good. We had to wait so long for food. My friend who ordered The scrambled got her food 10 to 15 minutes before we got our food. The only thing the three of us had in common was they ordered hamburgers and I ordered a chicken sandwich and all our meals came with fries. So maybe somehow ordering fries slowed the kitchen down? Had breakfast there for the first time. Cute place! Our waitress was great, the manager stopped by, and service was very fast. I enjoyed my Holly bowl, the scrambled eggs were delicious and it almost didn't need the potatoes! My husband's CFC was great!! The biscuits were big and fluffy. My iced Mocha was very mocha~y. I would have posted this a while back but my Yelp was acting funny. This place is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. Definitely need to bring an appetite when coming here. If you have not had a bonut, you haven't truly lived. They took a biscuit, rolled it in French toast batter, and after cooking it, sprinkled powder sugar on it. One of the greatest creations, which should be sponsored in the local fair as well. My waitress was also very friendly. I believe her name was Christi. She set the tone from the start. After reading the reviews we decided to give this place a try. It is very big with plenty of seating, lots of windows to let in natural light. I really liked the feel of the place. It was very clean and there were several people maintaining the tables and floor while we were there- that made me feel they care about their restaurant and hygiene. We all enjoyed our food, it took a minute to get it but I think it wasn't too long. The portion sizes are fairly big, I was not able to finish mine. The wait staff were very friendly and seemed happy to be there. I like seeing happy workers, you know you'll get good service. They do have outdoor seating if the weather suits you. Not my first visit to The Big Biscuit but not a frequent choice for me. On this trip I found the biscuit a very good example of the uniquely American food that is called a biscuit.it was fluffy and tender. The bacon was perfectly cooked for my liking (O did ask for crispy bacon) The gravy however was a little disappointing with its creaminess ruined by a bitter burning aftertaste that reminded me of old ground pepper. It dampened an otherwise perfect if basic breakfast. It didn't ruin the meal just made it a less enjoyable experience. I do recommend The Big Biscuit just maybe avoid the gravy. A second visit confirms that the gravy is not enjoyable as it is far too peppery and sports a bitter aftertaste. I also tried omelettes (as did my wife) it is clear that they prefer to overcook the omelettes making them disappointing and dry. This restaurant has a lot going for it but unfortunately a complete knowledge of how to make the best versions of some pretty basic breakfast elements elude them. read more

food - this was my second time eating at this restaurant and i decided to try a different dish than my first visit, in which i ordered a biscuit a la carte with loaded toppings. this recent breakfast experience, i got an egg platter with grits and a biscuit. the two former components were very much satisfying, while the latter was bigger than i was expecting from my first experience and also tasty. service - i dont remember the name of the waiter with whom my dad and i were seated, but he was efficient and showed more personality than most waiters i have had the acquaintance. i told my dad privately he reminds me in appearance of basketball player robin lopez, and if he sees this review and recognizes himself in the description, i sincerely express positive intent with that comparison. ambiance - while not an especially big restaurant, pun intended, the seating floor is very open and welcoming. and as of yesterday, there is a marvelous chalk drawing of a rooster above the bar, which i also commented about to my dad privately looks like what i imagine the c*** of pablo picasso would have looked like; g*d bless the dead. read more

Server She did not say her name. Ambiance It's a modern breakfast place. It seems rather empty. Kinda odd. When we visited, there were more employees than customers. Generally, not a good sign. Food Coffee is okay. NOT great. The ham and cheddar omelet was okay. It looked far better than it tasted. The ham was way to fatty for my taste. (The Mgr offered me a piece of chicken - that was nice) The "yard bird" was very good. She gushed over how tender and juicy the chicken was. I like the addition of Cholula at each table. This place is amazing. We went here for Mother's Day breakfast and they greeted me with a flower which was so sweet. They have a large selection on the kids menu and regular menu. We tried the 3 car pile up and it didn't disappoint, all the toppings combined paired really well together. Their biscuits are not dry at all the gravy tastes super good, very flavorful. Fresh ingredients w/ very reasonable pricing! One "extra" I really appreciate is the small pot of coffee on the table, you don't have to wait for a refill. My husband and I went to The Big Biscuit on 41st a few days ago. We were greeted at the door by a very pleasant young lady, was asked for our seating preference and was seated right away and was told our waitress was Allysen who would be with us shortly. Allysen was already there waiting for us and was not only attentive, but friendly! not something you get every day in a lot of restaurants. The food was exactly what we had hoped it would be, big delicious, fluffy biscuits, eggs cooked to perfection! My favorite was a sinfully delicious Loaded Biscuit. Our server was constantly walking past us helping tables around us while we were ignored or never received what we asked for outside our original order. We waited about 15 minutes after eating just to pay the check and when she finally got to us the card reader didn't work (she also forgot to hit continue to pay i did that for her). First of all I didn't take pictures of my breakfast. Which looked great and was great. A spinach omelet. I also ordered a French Vanilla Cappuccino. It was pretty good,,,it was hot. But it also resembled a powdered hot cocoa. (No Thanks). I was dining solo for breakfast. I could tell they wanted to seat me at the bar. But it was crowded and I really wanted a table so I could do some work as I ate. The hostess seated me in a back room with a few other people. Seriously facing a corner. lol. As a celiac, I came here and was a little frustrated. There's nothing marked on their menu as GF, their kitchen is cross contaminated through and through, and they don't have a GF menu. We decided to leave as it wasn't worth the shot of me getting sick. However, their menu looks phenomenal, I've heard everyone else really enjoys their food, and our service was great.
