They were bursting with flavour, tasting very home grown. My friend and I are both partial to darker, robust blends. We were both impressed. Stopped by around 10:10am we were seat quickly and order was taken quickly served good coffee and ordered a traditional breakfast 2eggs over medium sausage and hash browns and a biscuit, gravy was extra. My wife had scrambled eggs she didn't specify hash browns and got what I would call cottage fries so you better specify if you want hash browns also had biscuits and extra for gravy. Went there to eat for breakfast this morning. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was taking quite a while and they finally came and told us that they had dropped the chicken on the floor and they needed to start over. I was perfectly understanding of that. Accidents happen. However, when they finally brought us the order, I'd ask for no powdered sugar, and there was powdered sugar all over the chicken in the waffle. They offered to go back and remake it again, which we had already waited a good amount of time. No offer to say hey have a drink or meal on us so we're not gonna charge you for this because you've had to wait and then we brought it out wrong even after you waited. Even when I explained it to the manager after we paid, he didn't offer any compensation like hey let me give you a gift card or let me do something for the poor experience you had. Also, just an FYI a cup of coffee is $3.99 there, which I think is a bit pricey, especially when you only drink one cup. read more

We've been coming to Big Biscuit since it opened. In the past 6-8 weeks, there has been a noticeable difference in service from check-in to cash out. Why it takes 3-4 people to work a host stand, I have no clue because having that number of people definitely does not make it more efficient. Each time we come in, whether we check in online or with one of the host, they never seem to have a good idea of what tables are actually available and where they want to seat someone. It's like a hunting game and it definitely adds to the wait time of all of the guests. With the number of staff this restaurant employs on any given shift in the customer area, it should be like clock work from start to finish with a customer yet many times the staff are clueless and in a daze with a manager wondering around acting like this is the restaurant norm. The last 3 times we've been here, we have waited no less than 5 minutes to even get a drink. Again with the number of staff, a drink order should be taken near immediately after being seated. If there weren't so many walking around I wouldn't bring it up. I think the management are numb to their space and need to take an outsider looking in approach. read more

Answered all our questions and continued with excellent service even after our bill was paid. Food: I've only had this place once before a year or more ago. I remembered really enjoying things the first time and fortunately for me it was the same this time, my red white and Blueberry waffle had a great balance of all the fruit, the sausage patties and home fries were another stand out. I will never eat here again. I ordered the loaded country grits with a grilled chicken. The waiter was clearly frustrated, and I was charged an additional $2.99 for green peppers, onions, and cheese on the grits. I gave the food back and got a refund. My one phrase summary is "I've had worse" The biscuits are indeed big. That is not in doubt. Their quality is good with a tender and fluffy crumb but a bit too much flavor of baking powder. The gravy is not the best I've had and it's not the worst. The consistency is a bit thin for my taste but the pepper level is mild enough without being too subtle. I've certainly had worse. The hash browns were disappointing with a slightly soft texture as if par cooked but not cooked to a crispy texture at all. Overall a mild but edible side. I've had worse. The bacon was cooked and I give them points for that but it was not crispy enough to called well cooked. A return visit is possible but perhaps other offerings would be better read more

This restaurant has been on my list of places to try for over a year. We finally tried it this morning. The restaurant certainly lives up to its name. The biscuits are very big. Unfortunately, I didn't love the biscuits. I think I prefer biscuits slightly more done. The service was outstanding. Both the hostess and the server were friendly and personable. All of the staff wore smiles. Our server, Aramis, took good care of us and made us feel like he was welcoming us into his home. Unfortunately, I doubt that we will be back because the prices are higher higher than we want to pay for eggs. Inflation is driving prices up at all restaurants, but prices are higher at Big Biscuit than lunches in many local restaurants. An order of 2 biscuits and gravy are $10. It's $9 for 1 biscuit. There's still lunch specials to be had in Tulsa for under $10. It's easier for me to cook eggs, but very difficult for me to cook orange chicken. If the price is the same, I'd rather spend my money on something that's harder for me to cook myself. I got Jim's Platter and the hubs got the Mayberry hash. My platter included 2 eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit and gravy. The Mayberry hash included a sausage omelette, hash browns, and a biscuit and gravy. The food was good but not wonderful. I noticed some dishes go by that had some attractive presentations, specifically the French toast, waffles, and egg Benedict's. Big Biscuit has a welcoming decor. Decided to try the Big Biscuit when I was in Tulsa. The food wasn't bad but it was just okay and nothing to write home about. The biscuit wasn't very good. I would expect better from a restaurant that had biscuit in their name. The waitress asked if I wanted gravy with my biscuit. She didn't tell me there was an added charge for gravy. I just looked at my receipt again and they charged $2.50 for a little bowl of watery gravy. That will be my first and last visit to any Big Biscuit restaurant. read more

We have eaten at the locations in BA and South Memorial, so far so good. I usually order the traditional breakfast, with coffee.. Each visit, we had very sweet table servers. If there are any food allergies you may have, let the wait staff know... I over heard on one visit -a customer was allergic to pecans. Just an FYI. I'm not allergic to pecans, but if they still offer the pecan laden breakfast items, I'll try them and let y'all know ;) I recommend a morning coffee, the traditional items of breakfast with grits, eggs over medium, sausage Patty and a half order of biscuit and gravy.. you can share the biscuit and gravy. Very nice and spacious establishment. We visited from Dallas and it wasn't very far from our hotel. We had been to another place the day before called Tally's and the service and food were subpar, so we were in need of a really good breakfast! We found it! First off, the service was impeccable! From the manager checking on us to the politeness and attentiveness of the young lady that was our server, it was very refreshing. The food was delicious, the plate sized pancakes were the fluffiest and tastiest I've probably ever had and impossible for one person to eat, so be prepared to share! We also had waffles that were equally delicious, along with perfectly cooked hash browns and seasoned potatoes, bacon, eggs and sausage. We wanted some brunch after our late Sunday church service. This place had a good variety of options for my family of 5. I chose the lighter Popeye omelet with mushrooms, spinach, and rye toast. My hungry teenage boy got the Bigger Big Breakfast...with 3 meats, eggs, and 2 jumbo pancakes. My daughter got the Florentine Eggs Benedict. My hubby got the Ham and Cheese Omelet with a biscuit. My 7 year old loved the chocolate chip pancakes. Fresh ingredients, friendly quick service, good sized portions, and happy full bellies.
