My family and I decided to drop $60 on dinner tonight at Society and honestly I wish we had just ate at home because that food was bland and disappointing on all fronts. The service and ambience were both great but wow the food is such a disappointment. This is the type of food I usually refer to as "old people cruise ship level depth of flavor." I had the spicy Okie, my husband had the bacon cheese, kiddo had the kids burger with fries. We also got Mac n cheese and sweet potato fries, and fried pickles for the table. Honestly the kids meal was not bad!!!! The only thing I'd order again. The worst menu item by far was the Mac and cheese. When it came out, the top half of the noodles were totally bare with a thin sauce that sunk to the bottom of the bowl. Our server was fantastic and explained that the Mac is pretty mild, made with a smoked Gouda. At our disappointment he graciously offered to have the kitchen remake it with more sauce. We accepted, and what came out was definitely saucier but no more cheesy. With more sauce it actually became apparent that the sauce is fairly grainy and needs a ton of salt. The fried pickles had what I'd consider a "soft" breaded coating, not that crispy. The ranch wasn't my favorite but was passable for sure. (I'm particular on ranch but that's not their fault). The regular fries that came with the kids meal were actually great and what I would recommend as your side selection. There was seasoning, the fries were large, no complaints. The sweet potato fries though weren't crisp, and overall disappointing. The bacon cheeseburger comes with shredded pieces of bacon, not full strips so beware of that (the menu might specify that so not anything against Society), the spicy Okie was real bad. Partway through eating it I had to double check that there were any jalapeños in it because wow this "spicy" burger was mild enough that my toddler could eat it. Supposedly it had pepper jack cheese as well but it really just tasted like jack, no pepper. I added an egg and if I hadn't added the egg it would've been a total flop. The sodas aren't suuuuper crisp but still passable in my opinion. They might need to tweak their fountains for more carbonation, idk. Overall we didn't like our meals and won't be back but the service was good and our server tried their best to make us happy. read more

Solid burger joint that offers a really great standard burger, but also has some fun, more u I que burger options. My favorite is to order the turkey verde on a bed of lettuce. If you go the route of wanting your burger in a bed of lettuce, it works better if you ask for a bigger plate, because the lettuce being chopped smaller makes it move a lot. The fries are just so-so, but the onion rings and fried pickles are solid. The fried mushrooms are good, but not my favorite place to get them in town. The mayo they serve with fried mushrooms or fried pickles should be a little thicker. The staff are always nice in here and they work quickly. It's good to have a place that is consistent with good service, as that's tougher to come by lately, especially at more budget-friendly places. read more

Average place for food and drinks. Shroom burger was okay. Decent size but too much cheese and meat and NO lettuce, tomato, or pickles to balance the overwhelming cheesy taste of the burger. The burger patty was cooked well done which did not help. The sampler was the saving grace. I liked all the items in the sampler (fried pickles, onion rings, and mushrooms). This appetizer cost more than the burger. Not a lot of drinks options either. Beer on the tap are bitter, either IPA, ale, or lager. Sampled some of them and ended up getting a can of Coors Light. No breakfast all day was also a letdown. Really wanted chicken and waffles today but only available all day on weekends. This place may be for some people. Mom and I tried Society burger for a late Saturday lunch. The football games were on and it was a lovely scene by the bar- we chose a booth on the other side of the restaurant. A nice young man with longer dark hair greeted us and told us to choose any table. He was very nice. We noticed a lot of tables that were not cleaned. The restaurant side was not busy at all, but the bar was hopping. Our server was very attentive and sweet. He was on point with the refills and check-ins. We were immediately greeted and seated at a comfortable booth. The server arrived promptly and took our drink orders. We mentioned it was our first time dining in the restaurant and he answered any questions we had. My wife ordered the chili burger and I ordered the spicy Okie burger along with a 50/50 side of fries and onion rings. The food was delivered shortly and we both enjoyed our meals. There are televisions are the bar with different sports programs playing. The management and a few staff members were taking down the Christmas decorations within the restaurant during the time we were there. However, there were a few tables that needed to be cleaned after diners left that were left for much of the time we were there. We met a group of people for lunch at Society Burger and enjoyed a variety of delicious burgers and fries! Our server was knowledgeable and friendly & provided their daily food and beverage specials! I ordered the Impossible Burger with waffle-cut, sweet potato fries, and a $5 cocktail special! The burger was piled high with traditional topping such as American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and their tasty, homemade, mayo sauce on a brioche bun! Fantastic smashed burger and ambiance at this place! The service was quick for a nicely priced happy hour ($4 wine, $5 cocktails). The patio was lovely with adjustable shades upon request. The staff had even given me a little table device to rid of the flies that arrived when my food was served. I had order the PB&B burger, however, I opted to swap the patty the one usually given with the okie burger. It was a filling burger with the 2 patties but it was cooked wonderfully. I give the Spicy Turkey Burger ($9.50) a solid "meh." The burger itself was nicely cooked and seasoned with a very mild heat. Haystack onions were a nice touch. The bun was cold. The fries ($3.00) were also cold and not very crispy. I had to hunt down a bottle of catsup or ketchup. There was none at the bar and I had to raid three empty tables before I found a bottle wasn't already empty. It took us a while to finally try this place, but after we did, we found ourselves coming back often and bringing family members or friends along for the culinary adventure. The ambience is really nice. It kind of has a clean and modern industrial-esque vibe. They are able to convert some of the seating to outdoor seating as well for the 2 nice days a year of Oklahoma weather. The noise level does seem a little loud, so it can be hard to hear your company at the table sometimes. The star of Society Burger is definitely their food. If you go on an afternoon on Saturday/Sunday you can hit up the brunch menu as well. I've enjoyed everything I have tried here, but I do have a few favorites. I recommend the Hangover burger, which is 1 beef patty, 1 sausage patty, cheese, a runny fried egg and sauce on an everything seasoning bun! It is a mouthful not only to describe but to eat. You also have to try the jalapeño cheddar tots. They are homemade and not actually spicy for having jalapeño's. The onion rings or fried pickles are also great sides. I need to branch out and try more menu items here, but it is hard because I love my usual go-to dish so much. If you haven't tried this place out yet, do so asap and enjoy! read more

We were greeted at the door and told it was seat yourself. Our server was with us quick. I had the Pim and Cheese burger. We also tried the Okie. Be aware that these burgers are of the smashed variety. I enjoyed them. Dining partner...not so much. We split an order of half fries and half jalapeno tots. I got NO spice or heat from the tots and they had a weird consistency---almost like there was cheese in them that had melted out. Mine point. I have only been to the Mingo location once as I live downtown. I called ahead because we had our dog with us and they were very nice and said we were welcome to bring her on the patio. The waiter was very friendly and offered to bring a water dish for her. We got our food very quickly and it was hot and superior theta Burger is very good but the massive ring of cheese around it is a little much. I honestly would be happier and order it more if it was less. But they have other burgers and sandwiches that I like. The jalapeno tots are always good as are the sweet potato fries. I have to start by saying I've been to both Society locations and where the first location in Tulsa is cool, I am a BIG fan of this spot here on the south side of town. It fits in great with the south Tulsa feel and makes you feel kinda high end while also letting you feel like you can be yourself and just chill. From the big fireplace to the bar area and just the way the rest is laid out. I am not bougie but it's nice to feel like I can be a little and not be pressured. I hope that makes sense. I also must lament on the service we got on the night I took my wife and daughter in. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the greeter, our server and the management staff were incredible and really make we want to come in and spend more money on local beer and epic eats! This is a great spot to enjoy a hand crafted burger or chicken sandwich. The cheese fries with bacon and jalapeños are a new must have for me here and of course I'm going to have a locally brewed beer with my meal, because 1.) support local and 2.) Tulsa actually has really good craft beer available! So, in short, come here in small or large groups, enjoy an amazing meal, feel good about it and then do it again! I really love the taste of these burgers but they are in no way heart healthy. They are so greasy, they drip grease. Not just the burgers drip but anything fried is greasy. But they are the best burgers in town but afterwards I felt so bloated. It's ok for once a year if you're watching your fat intake but nothing more. Service is always good, the people are nice. The people there are drinking so it's comical going in there. They play sports stations. That's the ambience. Sports! No music! Went to the one on Cherry St and Broken Arrow.
